Yes, the bottom step catches waste and get stuck there!

All that can be done is to adjust the water level to slightly higher than max level so it flushes a bit more water.

Average at most - Caroma Sahara 2 – Averagely priced toilet from Bunnings and functions like an average too. It looks good and stills works after two years but not very good at flushing waste from the beginning. Waste very often gets clogged at the bottom which requires multiple flushes or manual intervention. Water flush only runs on the back and front of the basin but lacks a proper cleaning from the sides meaning that you'll need to clean this toilet more often than expected. Show details

Above average – Bought 2 of the same Sahara CC 4S from Bunnings in 2014 when doing renovation. It looks OK, price was good, it works as expected. However, 1 started leaking internally (from the the base), plumber / handyman came several times trying to fixed, we replaced the down pipe (replaced the original adaptive one, thought it was broken but NOT). Ended up wasting more time and $, bought a Luna cleanflush and replaced it. Show details

Disintegration of inlet water washer – I agree with the comment re waste water not getting away well. I'd like to add that after two years the toilet began leaking into the bowl. I took the inlet apart & found the washer had completely fallen apart. Alright if you're a handyman but if you have to pay for a plumber every two years then it becomes very expensive.

No water saver – Model opal 11. Dual flush needs 3 flushes to clean . Flushes do not surround the inner bowl so cleaning is not a complete surround. Stationary water level in bowl in unsatisfactory and unhygienic. Shape of flat bottom step catches waste and needs excessive use of brush to clear. Worst design ever !Dont buy! built by a reputable builder.False water economy against common sense has resulted in a product that is the equivalent of those in a 3rd world country.

great value for money – This is a great toilet. Compact and stylish the pan matched the cistern. Installed with no issues by our plumber. It is water saver loo but we have no issues and are successfully flushing wee and poo - complete with toilet paper. I perhaps wouldn't have bought it if we had read the other review first. But no complaints from us.

Over priced, poorly made rubbish – Recently I foolishly purchased a caroma Sahara toilet for our new home thinking it would be good quality, well how wrong I was! What an absolute piece of garbage. Took nearly 3 hours to install this 'made in China' garbage, and to top it off, the s bend in the thing is so pathetically small that when flushed it just fills up with water and nearly floods the bathroom unless you only use 1 piece of toilet paper! Do not get ripped off with this garbage toilet that is good for flushing wee only! If you want to flush a poo you'd want to have a plumbers plunger handy cos it ain't gunna get thru that s bend with just a flush!!!!! $487 I expected better. Well done caroma, that's what you get for getting your products made in CHINA! Bye bye Caroma, never ever again.
