Caroma Toilet Cisterns Questions & Answers
VerifiedI bought 2 ivory coloured cisterns 1 I'm having trouble with, why I have too keep taking the top of to get the water to fill up the tank,??? Than I have too take the top off again too stop the water filling the tank why why why ???? Very frustrating
Thank you for your enquiry. Based on your description, it sounds like there may be an issue with the inlet valve or float mechanism inside the cistern, which could be causing the water not to fill or to overfill unless manually adjusted.
To properly diagnose and resolve this, we’d recommend giving our Technical Support team a call on 131 416.
The caroma cleanflush toilet marks after every use never experienced a toilet like it would not recommend unless you want to scrub your toilet after every person. super embarrassing!!
Absolutely our experience. Some design engineer has been so intent on reducing the water usage that they have completely missed the mechanics of poo hitting porcelein. The surfaces are simply far too horizontal.
Bought Profile 5 to save water. Flushes ok, no complaint. But regarding watersaving: why, when i barely depress the flush button, thus only letting out a very small amount of water into the bowl, does the cistern fully "refill" over about 30-40 seconds ?? Minimal out yet maximum back in???
Hi - Local plumber Brett Lawson fitted a new Posh dual flush cistern on December 15, 2019. When using the small button release it 'clunks' on return. This is extremely annoying when flushing at night waking family. Could this problem be resolved PLEASE? Call me on 0481 094 184 Thank you in anticipation. Please help!
We have the very same issue John with the smaller button...was there a fix for you please??!!
No unfortunately. Both single and dual flush buttons ‘jam’ and ‘bang’ when used! If they jam the cistern water will flow into the bowl.
Hubby just solved ours this morning! When putting the lid on, there are two locating arms at the back that have to go into the back of the tank in the location holes. Before attempting to put lid on properly (which is the cause), flush the tank of all water and turn tap off, then remove the lid then replace back on - ensuring the lid goes on properly over the whole tank. You may have to push the tank back against the wall so that it is square against the lid. No more clunk or jam for us!!
Under warranty I had a new unit Posh cistern fitted and the Company plumber who stated that this is a very common issue with these units! Yes, the problem still exists. First Plumber Brett Lawson also stated that clunk and jam is common problem. Caroma Are Responsible...
