I emailed a few questions and the help I received from Daniel was professional, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. You would have gotten 5 stars but the postage - $25 was $10 over what it actually costs. And after paying the luicrus price for express, it still took 3 days to post and one week to get to me , I buy regularly from your website and this is just pure greed. the pleasure of having Tegan assist me with sale of some goods to the store, demonstrating incredibly astute and knowledgeable level of work in that role, which, whilst meaning I didnt get to sell all of the goods I had hoped to, actually made me consider the aspect of the asset she is to the business in terms of knowing exactly when sepcific policy has to be applied, whilst then providing a little bit extra support in the transaction when she became aware I was also buying goods inside. Additionally, she was friendly whilst being professional. Then I got some Xmas buying done inside where I dealt with a very capable Will (who has assisted me before) and Julie, a very friendly longer term staff member, who I have seen enough times for her to have been as helpful as on previous occasions. All these staff work under the guidance of the store manager, Sarah, who has done a wonderful job of running the store incredibly efficiently in my eyes from when the store went back to being Corporate from franchise a few years back. For those negative Nellies who have posted reviews prior alluding to the below complaints, I have opposite experiences to share. “Misleading descriptions: Complaints include wrong game versions, incomplete sets, or items misrepresented.” This has never happened to me in my 14 yrs of around 130 national purchases, totalling over $20K. If you want clarification before buying then just email the store for this. The replies are speedy and thorough, often with pictures. “Pricing: Second-hand items are sometimes priced close to or higher than original retail value” Not only have I never seen this (in 14 yrs of research before buying) but I check the RRP of product I buy and the RRP of the $20K worth of goods I have bought would be close to $40K. Additionally I have bought a DELL 32 inch $700 RRP monitor, an RRP800 Aiper pool surface cleaner, and a, $800 carpet washer/cleaner from different stores, all at 50% discounts, only to find on arrival that all of these items were in sealed boxes (never opened). “Low trade-in/pawn valuations:” If you are selling or pawning items to them, payouts are typically a fraction of the item's market value.” You wouldn’t be looking to sell the items to Cash converters if you could sell them elsewhere yourself for more. If you are at a Cash Converter store then you were probably on your way to the tip.. meaning any amount paid to you is a win. Additionally, Cash Converters is not a charity – it is a business listed on the stock exchange with shareholders, which has to produce profit to provide them with expected returns on their investment – if you were running it then you would be doing so in a manner to maximise profit whilst looking to provide well priced used goods to someone like myself, and in my 14 years of experience all stores do an incredibly good job at all levels of staff of doing just this.

attempting to evade their legal obligations.

Both and store staff and manager, and the Regional Operations Manager have been dismissive of my consumer rights, attempting to twist the facts with their inconsistent claims, and "re-write" the law to suit the store's bottom line. They claim they are adhering to the law because the text now says "6-piece," completely ignoring that the overall impression of the listing, which a reasonable consumer relies on, was a 7-piece set.

The Specific Breaches of the ACL:

• Section 18 & 56 (Misleading Conduct & Description): The store continues to display photos of 7 clubs while providing 6. The law is based on the overall impression, and this listing is fundamentally misleading.

• Section 261 (Remedies at No Cost): Most insultingly, the store admitted they sold the putter from my set separately for "a couple of hundred dollars" according to their own words. After profiting from selling my item to someone else, they attempted to make me pay their "cost price" for a replacement. Under the ACL, a replacement for a failed consumer guarantee must be provided entirely free of charge.

• Section 259(4) (Consequential Loss): The store’s behavior regarding fees was opportunistic. They initially refused to cover delivery costs and only "offered" to cover a minor $8 logistic service fee once they realized I had already secured a refund for the primary shipment. This is a failure to acknowledge the true consequential loss, including hours of research and communication required to fix their error.

• Section 263 (Rejection of Goods): Because the store failed to provide the complete set as represented, I have not collected the item. Under the law, the responsibility for this failed delivery and the cost of the goods remains solely with the store.

• Section 29 (False Representations): By making false claims about the set's composition and my legal rights to a remedy, the store has violated specific protections against misleading representations.

I have logged all evidence of the store’s inconsistent statements and have provided this to Consumer Affairs and Office of Fair Trading for formal investigations.

Avoid this store at all costs. Management has demonstrated a clear intent to ignore Australian Consumer Law and rewrite legal obligations to their own financial advantage. Unless you are prepared to deal with deceptive listings and a refusal to honor advertised contracts, take your business elsewhere. Do not risk the legal trouble of dealing with a retailer that does not operate in good faith.

if i could do less than 1 star I would, Manager of cash converters in tamworth if one of the most rudest people whoever hired her in a customer facing role, needs to quit, i refuse to be served by her because of her bad attitude and disgusting customer service

games and prices, suddenly using the same colours for pricing but changing the pricing theyve had all this time, they thought i wouldnt come in for a $15 refund on a few games? Think again.

Visual Aids, which are also a very expensive product at a retail price, but finding them on Cash Converters has been exceedingly cost effective. Also receiving a response from the appropriate store from the listing online has always been fast, even receiving a response on weekends which is really good.

I live in Tasmania, and in every instance I've bought from Cash Converters online, the items are either in Victoria, South Australia, or New South Wales, and sometimes postage is not available to Tasmania. So I simply contact the staff in accordance to the listing, and they quickly apply shipping to Tasmania, which is very much greatly appreciated as well.

Every item I have purchased has pretty much been in 'as new' condition unless specifically stated otherwise. Outstanding prices and service and on the rare occasion that I have needed to return the item it is a quick no fuss process. Show reply

I always find Cash Converters provide quality used items at extremely comparable prices. Gumtree and Marketplace can offer some great finds, however, if something goes wrong, there's no warranty. Show reply

I bought a second hand Kenwood electric knife. The price was great but off course had to pay for postage, but still a lot cheaper than a brand new one. When I asked if there were any other rings I might be interested in that were not online, she took the time to check and was able to send me some listings of similar rings. I greatly appreciate her help, and also that she waited for my response to those before setting up the ring for shipping, just in case I did purchase something else that could be sent out with my ring to save on postage.
