Cash Converters Sunshine online purchase
I bought a Milwaukee impact bit set from CC Sunshine and the whole process was positive. Email confirmation of purchase, followed by shipping updates and my item arrived in Brisbane several days later. Would definitely recommend this store for online purchases.
Gave below market value on gold
Quote was not given market value
Did not weigh items in full view
Offered 10% of valuations
Disappointing experience not satisfied with the outcome
Call centre is worst than Telstra.
I'm almost certain the woman I was talking to on the phone was drunk. Not only this, they also have connection issues and do not call back when you drop out.
As reviewer angel a said DO NOT BUY ELECTRONICS FROM THEM. I have been burnt a bunch of times buying from cash converters. They electronics have a high chance of having something wrong with them. I.e. being faulty in some way. ive bought tech a few times that have reaked of cigarette smoke. Been modified in some way. Or just straight up faulty. They will lie and hide that there is something wrong with an item. They use Photoshop to make the photos blury in some parts to hide damage ect. Also some small items are pick up only which seems very su...spicious to me. Some items just listed are on sale? How is it on sale if its a newly listed item for the first time. They are very untrustworthy. They prey on people less fortunate pay $10 for an item ant then resell it for $100. Also will treat you like scum if your selling to them but if your buying from them your they best friend. I would say just avoid them all together and buy new at least you know what your getting
I sold some silver Vera Wang Jewellery. They gave me $5 for the earrings and $10 for the necklace. I saw them online and they are selling the earrings for $115 and the necklace for $199. Total rip off. Most of their jewellery is overpriced and I could buy it cheaper in a shop. The people that work there say they would never buy jewellery from anywhere else because their stuff is so cheap.
Don't Bother - They only target people on Centerlink
Paid 2 existing loans off (7 months early)
Apply for another small amount, declined because of apparent changes to my credit file
Total load of bullsh*t from this Mob.
Bet you if would be a different story if my income was centerlink.
Don't waste your time, head over to spotmenow, much better, actually approve people and don't treat loyal customers like crap, honestly waste of time.
Worst decision one can ever make
Obscene about of ridiculous extra charges. Never explained them properly even after asking them. Had to pay over 3000$ for a 1300$ loan. Tons of extra hidden charges. Very bad customer service.
do not purchase technology from them
under no circumstances DO NOT PURCHASE TECHNOLOGY FROM. bought a laptop. mother board died months 2 weeks. there products are poor quality. will not repair. basically anything bought after 3 months straight to the bin . not covered. misleading ripoffs. zero stars worse than terrible
Osborne park walk in get loan against goods but little guy behind counter look fat people on Charlie and the chocolate factory move very very frightening towards me then went though a punch after told him leave me alone called head security that apparently in Melbourne ban me.
Item arrived broken, clearly wasn't checked.
I checked that the item I wanted had no issues.
Bought a microphone recorder.
Item arrived broken, would not turn on, faulty power switch.
The type of break was internal is not the sort of thing that likely happens in transit. It was clearly not checked.
I paid for express because I needed it asap. Called the store, they couldn't help. Had to wait days for a higher up.
Then had to wait till the item was shipped back to get a refund so I could get another.
Products should be checked before sale, and store staff trained to handle refunds.
After two incidents with utterly incompetent workers never again. This was the second upsetting time first was ingle farm a guy there had absolutely no idea what he was doing or saying & tried fooling to me on a subject/item there's probably nothing I don't know about. Then modbury are a waste of time with totally shocking lowballing & more nonsense & bravado, absolutely terrible customer treatment.
Usually many items to choose from
Good selection of second hand goods .
When comparing to new prices , ( for the same make or manufacturer , or brand ) the items in the store were grossly overpriced.
It`s unfortunate , but pricing really needs to be looked at , it`s not at all realistic.
Better buy new.
Consider this before applying
Some information you might like to consider before applying for a Cash Converters personal loan. During the current Corona virus crisis, in trying to do the right thing I shifted most of my purchases to EFTPOS, where I'd been using more cash before. I applied for a loan with Cashies, having had several before. I had just completed a 12-month, $1600 loan in 5 months. This time, the same loan on the same or more income was rejected, because of information on my bank statement. Paying everything by card means they see every transaction, and they t...end to use that information against you! Pay with cash to protect your ability to get loans, here's why: CC treats ANY AND ALL purchases from Coles, Woolworths, IGA, local delis etc as groceries and therefore an essential expense. And that counts against your commitments. Too many commitments, they won't offer you the same credit. So suppose you buy cigarettes, kids' toys, stationary, cosmetics and so on on your card.... it's ALL considered essential fixed expenses. Because I'd been doing this, my typical "grocery" bill in CC's eyes tripled since I started paying for these items, especially cigarettes, by EFTPOS. They look back 90 days. So your history before COVID (it's mid-year now and I changed my spending to all-eftpos early March) counts for nothing. My good history and good standing as a customer suddenly was out the window, doesn't count and doesn't help me, because I started buying my smokes on my card. So don't do that! I guess they don't value good clients very much. They knocked back my application on the basis of this sudden rise in "groceries". I've had a loan of this type with them every year for the past 10 years with a good history, and my last loan paid back in under half the time on the contract. They say this counts, but it doesn't seem to count for real much! Even a perfect history doesn't help you one bit, some piece of software that nobody can override, that lumps all purchases together as "essential", seems to know better. I needed the loan for dental work, I'm in pain and it's got to be done urgently. I cannot pay for it without, not without saving much more than the payments would be, for several months and the pain is intense. I'm now on Centrelink, during Corona I am unable to work at my job in live events, for obvious reasons. I have MORE income now with the supplement than I did working. So if you really need credit, and you're in a similar position, do not be too honest with them. They ask you what your expenses are but that means nothing, it's all done off your bank statement. It must just be an honesty test. Hide your spending, by paying cash. ANYTHING you buy from any supermarket, deli or basically anywhere that sells food, is considered groceries and therefore an essential expense and they consider it a "commitment". That "commitment" counts against your ability to get the credit you might need, even for actual essentials like medical or dental. It doesn't matter if you bought something else, if you get it from Coles, Woolies, IGA or the local deli, they call it essential commitments because it's groceries and you can't change that. If you smoke, or buy *anything* except food from these places, PAY CASH for cigarettes and tobacco. Also for toys for the kids, cosmetics, stationary, socks and undies, and treats and snacks outside the food you really need. Go to an ATM, withdraw the money and take it to the store. Or, go to the counter, get a cashout and buy it with that. That way, a question will come up on your loan application saying "you withdraw blah blah in cash from ATMs, can you confirm that this is for non-essential purchases only?" Or if you have another account from the one you submit with your application, spend from that, and DON'T declare that account to Cashies. It will count against you and they do not correctly, accurately or fairly assess your ordinary shopping when working out your "commitments". You cannot speak to a manager and convince them that not everything you buy from supermarkets is discretionary. Believe me, I've tried! Did speak to one, but it doesn't help. As ever, a piece of software makes the final decision. They say people review it and things like your perfect history with Cashies loans do count, but they just don't count for real much! Neither do those real people. The software has no way built in to "review" its decisions and what it says goes. I don't think even the boss there has a way to actually BE in charge and make these decisions. It's grossly weighted in favour of the great automated system in the sky. Another thing, assuming you can get the loan, be aware that as you pay it down, the interest does not reduce. Every month the interest is the same. It used to be that by paying more early, you could save more money on interest. If you make extra payments, you can reduce the number of months of the loan, but the interest each month does not get any lower.
Lies don't help your business
You state that 100 points of ID are accepted online, after walking two suburbs, I was denied because my photo Id was expired. I have my Medicare, Birth certificate and more than 100 points, only to be told outright that I need Photo ID.
Don't lie to customers, this is deplorable. You legit screwed my entire day up by lying to customers.
Awful for selling gold
Where I am in Townsville they offer $10 a gram for 9ct gold .... that’s about a third of its scrap value with any major scrap buyer in larger cities. They charge a standard rate of $40 a gram for 9ct which is reasonable for purchasing - just never sell to them.
It also seems to be inconsistent with what cash converters will pay in larger cities which seems strange.
Don't expect your product to come in time
It said my product would take 3-8 days and it's the eight day and I checked my email and 4 days ago I received an email saying my product was dispatched and I clicked on the tracking link to find out that the earliest day for it to come is today and the latest is five days later.
Never buy from them please save yourself
If i could give them 0 stars I would, I bought a stylus on the 8th which they didn't end up sending until the 14th (I had paid express post), they did refund me my freight cost which was good, however with the freight being delayed I expressed to them I needed it urgently and would be buying a stylus from a different store and needing to refund the goods instead. They refused to refund me citing that they do not do change of mind. I understand that this delivery problem is "out of their control" however as a business they should own up to the d...elay that the courier company THEY HIRED TO SEND MY PARCEL is having as well. During these times especially you'd expect them to be more considerate but they definitely were not. WOULD NOT BUY EVER AGAIN.
Put my new s10 in cause of new baby commits for $180.00 loan. On the seventh day it was on loan I payed the debit to take possession of my new s10 back only to find that my screen has been lifted scratches and chip where the screen had been lifted. My new s10 now rattles for the $62.00 interest cash converters charged did more than $350.00 damage. Thanks cash converters storeman criminals who are employed to literally steel lie and cheat there customers. Never again gutted, and so is my new s10.
Greenwood cash converters the worst store I have ever experienced!
