Ebay has them selling for between $40 and $100

The price has probably dropped because the new colour classpad the CP400 has been released.

Can someone tell me the difference (aside from colour) between:

Casio Classpad FX-CP400 Colour Graphing Calculator &

Casio Classpad 330

is there a major difference in functionality?

external link  Screen size, resolution and colour all seem reasonable improvements. The resolution in particular has been a complaint from many users. Not quite sure why they didn't just use AA batteries instead of the under-powered AAA batteries?

Casio hasn't wanted to update the display due to concerns about battery life.

They must have figured out a way to reduce power usage as they now claim 100 hrs.

They do seem to be specifying certain batteries though?

...so it's unlikely they've managed to increase battery life?

The Classpad 330 is one calculator that always seems to have flat batteries when you reach for it?

A lot of these seem to have sold over a very short time... suggesting people do like them?

The improved resolution in particular is probably most important.
