Terrible company. Designed to rip off users. Trying to double dip us sending an invoice to me as the vehicle is registered in my name while taking money from business account monthly for same vehicle. Extremely difficult to get in touch to talk.

I bought a new car in March 3 years ago... Phoned city link to update my details and my new car and to get rid of the old car details... 3 years later nothing was updated and I had to pay for the old car who continued to use my account... When I spoke to them they said it was still my responsibility to double check that they had cancelled my old… Read more

plan... When I asked but you have my call records that I phoned and told you and they said yes but it wasn't done so it was still my fault for not double checking that they had done their job... I didn't even know I was managing their staff... but ok. So had to pay for all the tools that wasn't even my car or me driving... They took no accountability for their mistake

Pathetic – I went through the toll by accident, thought, I'll just go to their website type in my rego and pay it. Hahaha, that would be good customer service! You have to PAY to sign up for an account. No exceptions. They will not send you an invoice or even have it listed under your vehicle until they send you the toll you owe AND A LATE PENALTY. They… Read more

make it as hard as possible to do the right thing and you spend hours on their website finding a way to pay the toll, which by the way you only have 5 days to do from the date you used it. 9 days is when they send you the invoice and late fee. You need to know exactly what part of the network you were on and buy a pass appropriate to your journey which you have to spend half an hour on google maps figuring it out, if you even remember the route.

CityLink how dare you abuse your power.

Shame on you.

RIP OFF IS THE BEST TITLE FOR CITYLINK – How can $47.56 charge for a day pass using only one section is justified? Only because it's dual cab does not mean it's as heavy as a semi it's even lighter than most SUV's yet get charged more than double. Will never use it again. It didn't save me the fuel or time on a weekend that's worth the cost.

How are they getting away with this?? – Hi all, if you do not look at your statements, you may be getting ripped off , double charged on the same date and one second apart, then charged a video matching fee. Takes for ever to get through to the contact Centre and you have to explain your case and cannot get a resolve for 48 hours. What does ombudsman say about all this?

Rip off – Can’t believe you charge Aprox $20 for a one exit from Bell st to Brunswick rd. Tell me it’s a 24 hours service, but I only wanted to exit once not all day. Also you’re charging fees for a road which was already Tolled up to Fleming rd in the 80’s. Why pay for roads already tolled , why not charge for only the new sections added ?

These people are running a scam – I added a car to my LINKT account, which covers billing on both Citylink. I see a $9 dishonour fee from Citylink on my bank account, then I receive a $25 invoice in the mail for travel on their crap car park. So I call to enquire why there is a dishonour fee and why they sent me an invoice as my account has plenty of money in it. Now, when I added… Read more

the car to LINKT, in big writing on their website it tells you you have 9 days to ad the car after you have travelled. What they don't tell you is that this does not apply to Eastlink roads. As I travelled mere hours before adding the car to the LINKT account, they bill you and apply a penalty. If LINKT had said the back dating doesn't apply to Citylink roads, I would have done something about it. Absolute joke.

Apparently 0 stars isn't an option – Apart from the fact that Citylink doesn't work (endless traffic jams, the forever blocked Burnley tunnel and virtually permanent roadworks) I tried to top up my account with cash. What a joke. None of the 'retail outlets' advertised on their website carry out the transaction. NONE. Rang City Link customer service (in India) and got 'really?' How… Read more

would they know they're in India. What a useless bag of crap cpmpany which is probably why Citylink itself is a useless bag of crap.

Absolutely Useless – Eastlink operators take too long between you using their road and them identifying you and allowing you to pay. You go to pay the half reasonable toll price too soon, punch in the rego and recieve no results. Guess what happens next? You forget about it and two weeks later cop a late paying fee of $13 because they were too slow. They need to invest some of this massive influx of money they must be receiving and speed up their "service".

Awful – I think it's ironic that you have to pay so much to use their roads, and the website and phone/customer service is an absolute joke. Would honestly rather sit in traffic all day than have to deal with them.

Tollway RIP off – Having worked in Footscray for the last 17 years and living in the Northern Suburbs I did use the tollway for 11 years as it was paid for by the company I worked for (Tax Deduction for them) After leaving and having to pay myself I could not believe that anyone in their right mind believes that it is good value. Going under 2 toll bridges return… Read more

per day in a falcon sedan costs just over $10 so 5 trips return per week will cost you approx $2,500 per year assuming you clear $50,000 that is 1/20 of your net income for the year. On top of that they raise the tolls by 3 % per year and then they reduced the speed limit giving you even less value for your money. Biggest scam perpetrated on Victorian motorists ever!!!!

What a rip off – I think it's a rip off to go thru the Burnley tunnel. 39 dollars what a joke for a light vehicle. I will use a alternative route from now on.

Should be taken over by government or anyone both thieves though – Just added a car well ute so because its a Ford it costs more than a car? Less doors less weight? Read 2 people not 5 sedan. Then l read holden ute same price as sedan. For f....ck sake its same shape size etc.. Discrimination best describes this. Where is RACV? Anyone? Near 10 a trip what a joke struck in traffic from 6am 20 dollars to get on it return. Maybe use it as a park and ride? Bunch of aunts...

Understanding Customer Service – Credit is due to the customer service from Citylink. I discovered a rego was linked to my account and I was being charged for their trips. I called and explained the situation to them and was given a full credit. I didn’t have to argue, prove I was right or anything else. They could see it was wrong and fixed it. Thanks Citylink.

Deadly expensive deadly congested deadly full of angry annoyed ripped off customers very slow very very slow – Deadly expensive deadly congested deadly full of angry annoyed ripped off customers very slow very very slow. I used to be a regular user naively thinking it'll get better but have realised its very expensive on the weekly budget to not move as quickly when you need it to be, I now take an alternative route and have found it to be only 5 mins difference in time not worth the pricey cost.

Always congested on weekdays – We travel every day on weekdays to work using the city link. As a feed back to enhance client experience it would be great if the charges could be reduced significantly.

MASSIVE ripoff! – Can't believe what these guys charge you for a day trip to use a damn road...it is unbelievable. The funny thing is when I went to pay for it online, the site was down...can't even run a proper website.

Initially bad service on the phone and online, but when the supervisor Mark took over, he solved my – i asked specific questions on what toll should i be paying after providing dates and my registration number but the system only tells me to pay for the 24 hours. I am happy to pay if I used them but I have asked if I use them or not but was unable to answer. What a RIP OFF City Link. SHAME on you. This is my review based on online service and the… Read more

Don’t bother calling – By far the absolute worst customer service over the phone I have ever experienced. I received a toll invoice, when I had a receipt for a similar date. I called to question the dates and the receipt number, the women on the other end, was not helpful and rude. She had refused to search the receipt number, spoke over me. Then followed by putting me… Read more

on and off mute so I would think there was a line issue. I told her I knew what she was doing and asked her to stop putting me on mute she then admitted to doing it, by a smear remark of “ *sigh* ... mmm yeah”. I precieded to ask to speak to a TL or Manager so she put me on hold for 15minutes and then hanging up on me.

Never ending roadworks, closed exit – Terrible, avoid! I haven't bothered to use CityLink for years because of the never-ending roadworks & closures. After a long, exhausting day I stupidly decided to use Citylink only to find the exit I needed (towards Hume Fwy) was completely closed. The warning signs were not clear & I couldn't read flashing signs as I was driving past. I was… Read more

forced to take a huge, confusing detour & the trip took twice as long as driving on non-toll roads. There is no way I would have found my way if I was relying on the detour signs & I quickly got lost. Thank goodness my phone had enough battery left to find the signs again. I cant believe I actually paid to travel on Citylink. The only good thing about the roadworks is that I've found a great toll free route that is quicker & less congested than Citylink. They have lost me as a customer, I will no longer pay to drive on it.

Dodgy company - worst customer service in the world – I have had an etag account with CityLink for 20 years and I don't use it frequently so every now and the account might go a few dollars into negative. This shouldn't be a problem as the only deposits they allow into my account requires me to go at least $40 into the positive ie they force you to give them money you might not use for a long time. … Read more

I open my mail a few days ago and find put that they suspended my payments to EastLink for a week over Christmas because I was negative a few dollars. As a result I have received a fine from EastLink.

The call centre for CityLink is in the Philippines so it is very difficult to fix problems and you will waste hours. I am looking into how I can close my account with CityLink while never giving them another cent. I will provide an update once that is confirmed.

Lots Of Hooks, Terrible Service, Horrible To Deal With, Double Charged For Tag – We have had an account with these crooks for 3 years. Back when we setup the account they charged establishment fees for the first 3 years to cover "costs" such as the e-tag. The tag became faulty after about 18 months and I started to get charged for each photo process so we joined the competitor. I realised recently they were still charging a… Read more

hefty minimum yearly charged to advised them the etag was faulty and eventually disposed of since we'd paid the fees to cover the tag already and they still charged a whopping $50 for a bit of plastic with a battery and microwave transpoder PCB. The website seemed to always be "under maintenance" and eventually when we wanted to close it, we had to call their offshore call centre who took 15 minutes of repeated holds to close the account. This was after 2 previous call attempts to spell out the 4 letter first name to them where we just hung straight up.

Avoid this company.

#!?/*#& Can't say what I want to – As a country dweller I had the misfortune of having to bye a pass for the Melbourne toll roads last week. Things got off to a bad start last Sunday 28/06/15 when online the site was closed for maintenance but was told 6am Monday it would be back up and running. So 7am Monday I tried again only to find the site still down, but had to get going. A… Read more

day later I rang my daughter at home to organize a Melbourne Pass for the week I would be in Melbourne as I don't have a smart phone therefore no access to the internet while away. I then on a number of occasions tried to ring to check things were as supposed to be with tolls being charged to credit card. Need I say with no luck at all. So when I got home I rang from the home phone to speak to a customer service operator and was advised the wait would be 46 mins, so with coffee in hand and time to kill I thought let's give this a go. Well as you can probably guess after getting to the point of being told I had progressed in the queue and it would only be 6 mins till my turn, I waited and then realized it had been 10 mins and with my next breathe the voice kindly tells me the approx wait time was, you guessed it 46 mins, they had totally skipped me and I had gone to the back of the queue again.

A couple of questions, how long does it take for the charges appear on your statement? I couldn't find any info in print or online and which number are you supposed to be able to push to get straight through to a human?

I don't think there is such a thing as customer service at this organisation.
