There's just something a bit off about all these supposed giveaways, and the fact that they email you wanting you to buy more and more tickets. It's insidious and before you know it, you're buying heaps of tickets. I'm done with it.
Looks like a scam skirting around the rules, makes me wonder if the winners are even members of the public it is hard to tell when they have no Government oversight because it is not a raffle. Wonder where the prizes are on display to view. Is 80% owned by an American company called CDC Gaming, not really for any cause but CDC Gaming and the guy… Read more

It is a raffle you pay your money and get ticket numbers to go into a draw, but they say not a raffle they have it as a subscription membership to avoid all the rules of a raffle, no registered charity registration number either so not a charity so the Classics for a Cause name could also be seen as misleading. Would not be hard for them to run it as a raffle and be a bit clearer about how much goes to the charity they claim to support. So before you hand over your credit car details you need to know, It is a gambling website they will take your money each month and it is next to impossible to cancel your membership.
It's a clever scam. It appears to be a raffle, but it's not. Firstly, they make out that they're just a bunch of Aussie classic car lovers that want to help Aussie charities. In fact, they're owned by a global gambling conglomerate listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange. When you buy a ticket, you become a "member" and the prizes are then classed… Read more
as "giveaways to random members". That way they don't have to be registered under the appropriate laws for raffles or adhere to these laws. It's hard to even confirm that the prizes are actually awarded to members or even real people. I investigated two of the supposed "winners", and they appeared to have business or personal relationships with the guy who runs the site. It's not impossible of course that they were randomly selected, but certainly looks dodgy, especially since if this was a registered raffle, associates of the organisers can't participate. Other signs of it not being above board: 1. A big part of the sell is that buying tickets helps a charity - the "for a Cause" part. But there's no info availalbe on what charities they support or what proportion of profits goes to them. So the only cause you might be supporting is the guy running it. 2. When I purchased a ticket, no receipt was sent. The only proof I had one was a follow-up marketing email from them. I can't login to my account so can't see my ticket number or if I've been signed up against my will for a regular purchase. 3. There is no list of runner-up winners published, so no way to confirm if prizes are actually awarded. 4. They don't publish how many tickets are sold in each draw - one of the important things legitimate raffles have to do. When I called to put these questions to me, the person answering the phone couldn't/wouldn't answer. I also asked the questions on there online contact form and got no response. If they weren't dodgy, there's no reason to not be up-front about htese things. As a final sign of dodginess, when I bought a ticket, it produced a popup asking me to pay an additional $10 "to support the cause", but there was no clear way to opt out. I just closed the window and still got charged.

I have purchased from them a couple of times, but this time was different. I decided to spin the wheel for an extra $10 for the prize. This cost me and extra $30 on top of what I already purchased + $10 for that spin. How is that a prize? As a Veteran myself, I decided to dig into the Terms and Conditions and other areas in the website, which… Read more
were quite interesting. It turns out that the address for Veteran Benefits Australia, 32 Wright Place, Algester QLD 4115, is the same as the address for Classics for Cause now, as seen in the after hour pictures of the prize cars 2025. What makes this even more interesting is that [Name Removed] from Visual1 is also running his business from this address. He can also be seen in the early video's at their previous address again same as Classics for cause old address. You can also see in the photos. I also found [Name Removed] mobile number, and all this information is available on the web. Very sus with lots of loop holes and is classified as a Not For Profit organisation which allows it to run Trade Promotional Draws, apparently registered and regulated, therefore not bound by the lottery's. They are playing on words and the law to give us a glimmer of hope to win. To top it off Classics contact email is info@visual1.com.au Now you too can join the dots and decide who are these people and what percentage actually goes to the Veterans.
Not a win this time. But I will try again – Easy to negotiate website. Great prizes up for grabs and you can also claim discounts.
Australian suspicious of Classics for a Cause. Something very fishy about this!! Payment requested in U.S.$ – I am very suspicious of Classics for a Cause. Today I thought to purchase online tickets for the beautiful retro VW kombi. I am in Australia and when I went to pay and discovered they wanted payment in U.S.$. I then rang the advertised 1300 phone number and asked exactly where they were based. The lady on the phone told me Melbourne Australia.… Read more
She stated that all proceeds support Australian Veterans. I asked which country the VW was in and was told Australia. When I inquired as to why they were selling $100 dollar gold entries for $77 U.S. dollars, she said she did not know. She also said she could see my phone number which is a mobile, but asked for my name for a call back. Just before we completed the call, she asked me which state I was in ???Something very fishy about this!! You will notice the dropdown screen asks for what region I am in, it is a list of countries. Buyer Beware! P.S. They never did ring back either.
Where are all the entries????? – I purchased tickets in the recent draw for Black LX hatch. I screen grabbed the device they use to determine the winner and could only count appropriately 60-80 balls. Where are all the other entries??? How is this a legitimate draw??? How can they get away with this??? WHERE ARE ALL THE BALLS REPRESENTING ALL THE PURCHASED TICKET PACKAGES… Read more
???????? Surely there are other people that purchased tickets that noticed this and are asking the same question Why did I not receive a purchase order number in the email that my ticket numbers arrived in. I am not convinced this was a legitimate draw and I feel I have been scammed along with many other people that have purchased tickets. ESPECIALLY when I hear Patty projecting in the video confirming “this is real”…… That statement is the only real giveaway on offer here. Buyer BE ULTRA AWARE!!!
Got sucked in – Keep away same response as the rest of the people that entered take your money and hear nothing try tracing it up nothing .trying to find the the winning numbers for the one I entered just me back to there home pages.
Positive reviews
Found them to be upfront – I have had none of the issues mentioned by other people. I am not a vip member and just buy tickets, they have never taken extra money and I always receive my numbers. I cannot comment how much if any goes to veterans, I really hope they get some of the earnings.
Very surprised – I bought tickets from Classics for a Cause not only because of the great cars that are prizes but because profit from the sale of tickets go to veterans. I was very surprised when I received a list of 250 runner up prize winners. I didn't realise that there were runner up prizes.
I really like Classics for a Cause! – I really like Classics for a Cause! Great discounts, great cars and a most importantly, a great cause. It would be ideal if I could more notice when the draws go live, so I could tune and watch.
Negative reviews
Have purchased multiple tickets across multiple giveaways. Had a problem with a discount coupon and have waited more than two weeks for it to be rectified. Despite 4 phone calls, as of today, no response but they’re still happy to take additional orders for tickets every time I rang up. VERY POOR!

I have Not had All the Problems Others Have, I Got the Accumulate Free Entries But Not All Draws Give Me The Accumulated Entries, I Accumulated 9 free entries and have 18 on one car and the other only 9 entris, and BOTH Say DOUBLE ENTRIES, so I Do not know if the entries i purchase accumulate each month also i think they do thats why i have 18 in… Read more
one even though i am only on the ENTRY Membership, ITS STRANGE, i WOuld Think I Should Have 18 Enties on Both bcos they Both Say D.E.
BUT HERE IS THE ANSWER FO ALL ALL WHO THINK THEY THEY ARE GETTING SCAMMED, You Can Log Into the Page that has the Cars on it, Go To My Account scroll Down to Membership CLIK View Billing Info, There You Can Cancel Your CARD, and END IT, By DELETING IT, There is 3 DOTS Next To The Card and a EDIT Button Next to The Active card, the 3 DOTS Are The ACTIVE CARD JUST DELETE IT. if They Keep Trying To Debit then Thats FRAUD, and You Can Call The BANK And Telll Them of The FRAUD. You Can Also use the Cancel
But Yes very hard to Contact, maybe bcos they do not work Long Hours, But I Signed Up seeings they were in The Supermarket, with the Cobra Shelby, Ive Waited nearly a year to get another chance, but No Car the Year before they did 2, and I Decided to Cancel, I Will have to wait and see If They Keep Trying To Take Money Out My Acc and If They Do I will Just Try and Change the Acc Number to a False One or delete it Then that will Stop Them, I Will Update This and Give No Stars if I Do Not Get the Response I Like, and you should take a closer look at the web site to see what access you have to your payment cards. THEY ARE NOT VERY HELPFULL and Dont Give a DAM By The Sound of it, its Your responsability, NOT THEIRS that you know, ATTATUDE.
If I could, I would give no stars. I cancelled my order. I had to change my bank card number in order to stop this organisation taking money out of my bank account. I withdrew authority of this organisation to take money out of my card account, but they still did and when I cancel the bank card, they are still attempting to take money even though… Read more
I have prepared several email and sent it to them requesting cancellation.
Further to that I contacted one of the charities listed on their website to be advised that that charity does not receive support from classics for a cause.
That particular charity considered this organisation’s to be deceptive and misleading conduct.

I would give no stars if it was an option. I was under the impression I was buying one ticket. As it turns out, my account was debited monthly, although I was never told this. I have sent several emails and have left several messages for somebody to call me to address this. They owe me $100 that o did not consent to paying. I will be taking this matter further.
The cost of all these vehicle lotteries are making massive profits and are a scam! I can never get a straight answer as to how many tickets are sold per lottery so they just increase the discounts towards the end to make more money of the battlers. Never see the draws emailed. They email me with new lotteries but never email their client base… Read more

Cars are way OVER VALUED too.
This company can't say what Veterans get paid from the profits, even after calling and asking. US company?
Save your money
we have been being charged almost $25 per month for 3 years. I have made numerous calls and sent emails (still have the email trail) asking them to stop taking money but they refused! i have reported them as scammers to cba but the cba say they seem legitimate but are under investigation.
Beware - Your credit card will be abused – Beware - they are fraudsters. These people take your credit card details for a draw...then sign you up for a monthly subscription without your knowledge or approval. I doubt the winners of their draws are actual winners...they are probably friends of the unethical mob.
Classic scam !! – My wife thought she was helping veterans, said she would buy nce but was put on a monthly $24.95 automatic credit card deduction. Tried to cancel last month, said I would be refu ded immediately. Nothing occurred, another deduction this month so once again demanded cancellation. Am still pursuing full refund, banking instition, and Fair Trading
Disappointed – I had purchased tickets however when I logged into their website there were no tickets. After calling their customer number, I was told it was too late in the afternoon to check and they would call back the next day. Of course that did not happen so I called back and I spoke to a different lady who assured me she would enquire & shortly after I… Read more
received what I felt were a copy of the numbers I already had from their email but no link to their website. So as in my opinion from this experience I feel it’s a questionable organization & don’t waste your hard earned cash.
GAMING COMPANY OWNS CLASSICS FOR CAUSE – It is a money making venture that last year made well over $1 million. It is so lucrative that it has been sold to a gaming company. It is about money making, not helping veterans. Here is the 80 sale for many millions to a gaming company: https://cdcgaming.com/golden-matrix-group-to-acquire-80-interest-in-classics-for-a-cause/

Not Happy Jan – [Content Removed] as are they really helping veterans? ho much do they really give back mmmmm??? they don't follow through with requests don't call back quick to take my hard-earned cash service is [Content Removed].
Dodgy – I don't believe they're a scam but they're certainly dodgy, One time I wanted to cancel my membership I so emailed them, like I did the previous time well before my subscription renews, I wasn't aware that they put that option in to cancel in your account. My renewal date went by and they emailed me to say you must cancel in your account now, so I… Read more
did, but they still deducted a months subscription five days after the due date, WTH?! So I emailed them to ask for a refund and they did comply. Also they over value their cars, for instance recently that bronze Monaro and orange SS Torana were bought for $130K each from Seven82motors auction, & yet they value them well over 200k each, this does nothing for their credibility.
Total Scam – As fake as it comes. There are no cars to win and there are no winners, just actors with props. It's a huge scam and if you buy any tickets you've just done your doh! you will not win a car. Research it. Report their ABN and fake ads to ASIC, the AFP and the ACCC and help all of us to get rid of these scammers.
They Do not help veterans – These scammers use veterans to suck in people, but they do not help veterans and are far from transparent. So much disrespect for using veterans to make your money. Shame on you. I call on the veterans community to start holding this trash to account.
Scam Outfit – Spent over 2 grand on tickets only to receive a 100 dollar gift card. Went to redeem it and card was declined. Rang the classics for a cause office to which their reply is we’ll get someone to call you back. Have rang twice with the same response. Not only that only vip members actually win the draws. Don’t buy tickets from this organisation.
NOT RESPONSIVE – I joined by accident when trying to join another charity, I called within 1 hour of my mistake and they refused to refund my $49.95. I have asked several times to have this membership resolved and the only response I get is to request a cancellation on the website, this I have done 3 x times now and I am still a member! I will now need to contact my bank to avoid further charges and block them.
Live stream what live stream – Purchased $100 ticket pckg and have received numerous texts with links reminding me of the upcoming draw and live stream. There wasn’t a live stream obviously. None of the links lead to a live stream. The link now leads to a pre recorded video. What about the other prizes? No live stream either?
Fund-raising Initiative – As a car-lover and supporter of various charities, I was happy to purchase my first ticket, hoping to win an Eleanor Mustang. No luck this time but will try again another time. Many reviews on this site from disgruntled punters, claim this raffle is a scam and that Classics for a Cause is not a charity. Well, as far as I can tell, they do not… Read more
claim to be a charity. Rather, they are a registered business that raises funds to support and promote charities. I cannot comment on not being able to cancel my subscription, as I haven't tried to do that yet, however when I contacted them about an issue with my account, it was resolved immediately.
Thieves, money taken after cancellation via phone representative – Rang the message service they hide behind...yep that is your first red flag.Cancelled and 5 days later they took a payment anyway.Thievery pure and simple. Do NOT let them have access to direct debit they will not cancel even when instructed.Record your phone interactions so that when you inevitably have to go to the retail ombudsman you can prove… Read more
your case. This company is not to be trusted. Also be aware that you will have to pay stamp duty on a high $ car to be able to take delivery and they have a "substitution clause"- the prizes are not free and not guaranteed.
Isn't it illegal in Australia to NOT HAVE UNSUBSCRIBE ability? – I bought tickets once for one auction I do Not wish to get their emails. THERE is no way to unsubscribe! I am thankful I only purchased once from this organisation and did not choose to be consistent buyer! I keep getting emails and ENCOURAGE people to NOT sign up to this ESPECIALLY NOT their VIP choice!
NO UNSUBSCRIBE OPTION OF COURSE ! – What an idiot i was for falling for this gimmicky charity rubbish with the "classic" (tribute) cars. i actually forgot that i had the ongoing minimum monthly subscription to this scam until i kept seeing their invasive adds pop up everywhere on my instagram so it got my thinking to delete this garbage and unnecessary expense. the feeling that this was'nt going to be a matter of an easy unsubscribe, and of course my instincts were right. No unsubscribe, ONLY upgrade to a bigger monthly slice of the rip off. After calls to the pager service, not their office, doubt one even exists, nothing. No email response, not even responses to their social media comments. ZERO. I'll have to sort this out with my bank now or they'll keep milking my account dry. ABSOLUTE SCAM AND IF IT IS LEGIT, WHY NOT GIVE MEMBERS THE OPTION TO OPT OUT??? that alone tells you all you need to know about "dodgeys for a dodge" BEWARE, PLENTY 1 STARS WITH THE SAME ISSUE SO THEY OBVIOUSLY KNOW AND HAVENT FIXED ANYTHING
