Believe the reviews – This product once built is marvelous but it's very difficult to put together. If you enjoy putting ill fitting parts together then this product will delight you immensely. If you don't then buy a different product. One good thing is that I don't think it will ever fall apart and does look quite good once built. Just don't try if you are tired or already in a bad mood cause it is frustrating.

5 Drawer Flexi Storage – This product, once assembled is worth five stars. However it is close to impossible to assemble due to the sleeve holders being too big. They had to be filed down and the rods forced on, by splaying the ends in order for them to fit. Such a shame as this could be an exceptional product. Manufacturers should try to put this together themselves, unless we bought part of a bad batch.

Literally the biggest piece of crap – Dangerous and difficult to assemble, even more impossible to disassemble. Do not purchase this product. It was without a doubt the poorest design, with instructions that were unclear and unquestionably overpriced.

Thought I was going to break it but turned out amazing! – When I first purchased this at Bunnings I didn’t do any research and just looked at the packaging (which was super easy to read). I bought one drawer and took it home to assemble. I was getting suspicious at first however after reading reviews I knew I had t hammer the connectors harder! Overall it took me 10 mins to install and I’m really happy with the end result !!

Tricky- be careful – Difficult to get joins together - needed to use a mallet and full hammering force. I stacked 2 unit on top of each other, but was so focused on ensuring these joins were all right that now I've got the drawers opening from different sides of the units!! And once you've done that it can't be undone. It's sturdy though, lol!

Not for amateurs – I purchased the first from Bunnings and found that yes you need to be more than a amateur weekend handyman to assemble the frame but as mentioned previously if you use good practice and standard common sense it goes together beautifully and when assembled as instructions they are capable of holding in excess of just socks. I feel that as with all… Read more

flat pack assemble yourself products you must have a degree of commonsense and ability to assemble the purchase before you buy. I think that they are fantastic that I am buying more this week but thought I should look at the reviews and was astounded by the amateur negatively.

Very impressed – We purchased the clever closet 2.4 metre starter kit from Bunnings. The instructions are difficult to read however once i got going it was amazing. My clothes are all organised and it holds alot. Im very impressed

Terrible!!! It doesn’t stay assembled! – I bought the 4 drawer 3 shelves for my walk in wardrobe and it is so bad that it doesn’t stay assembled. You will need to add nails and screws to the product yourself! The fantastic furniture is so much better and it costs the same thing! :(

Possibly the worst product ever made – This stuff is awful and going to be returned. Wasted 2 hours of my life design the wardrobe. The connectors are virtually impossible to join together. There is zero tolerance. Scratch that. There is -1 tolerance. The connector is larger than the piece it is meant to be hammered into. In fact, persisting in hammering it in is resulting in tiny… Read more

pieces of swarf (metal shavings) being shaved off and landing in the carpet.

What a complete waste of time and money. How can Bunnings even stock this stuff?

Horrendous!! – As every one else has noted, if these reviews were hung on the boxes in Bunnings every one would run a mile. We bought 4 of the things 2x3 drawer and 2x 4 drawer. Clue should have been the fact that all the boxes had been resealed ( maybe we got yours if you are near Belrose Bunnings

Difficult to assemble – I am having the same problem as everyone else: the joining pieces require lengthy and violent hammering. Avoid this product. I plan to report the matter to Bunnings and I shall try to get a refund.

Hole in carpet after assembly – What a terrible product. Nearly impossible to put together as the parts don’t fit properly. When hammering in the connectors, I tried to use a wooden block between hammer and connector as not to misshape them. The block of timber broke in half before the part was in. The edges of the unit are so sharp that there is now a 1x2cm hole in my carpet as… Read more

I of course thought you could assemble it on the floor. I also put the top part on the wrong way around (yes, totally accept as my fault), and now I can’t get the two brackets apart again. What a waste of money.

Redefined the meaning of frustration – Horrifically designed product. Joinery does not match in sizing, requiring increasingly violent hammering. My feet hurt from kicking the thing and the scrap metal now left twisted in my back yard offends my neighbours. A perfect gift for your mother-in-law

Holds no weight – After purchasing in sections due to cost the wire basket and drawer inserts are a dud. The drawers cannot hold any weight and break from their own weight let alone holding a drawer full of .....socks. less than 4kg. Don't waste your money. Need compensation for the holes in my plaster once I pull it all down

Not even worthy of a 1 star rating but no option to give it 0 stars!! – Am feeling extremely annoyed that I didn't research before buying! Last night visited 2 Bunnings stores to buy 3 kits. Upon opening the first kit and trying to assemble, thought there must have been some problem as it was impossible to insert the connector. Opened box 2, same problem. Decided to search online for some solution thinking maybe it… Read more

was me?? And then found the reviews here and now know I have purchased a dud product!! Returning mine tomorrow and will be visiting IKEA instead!!

The Reviews are in.... this is a lemon design! – Same experience as others here, bought from Bunnings thought it couldn't be this difficult to assemble. I tried to persevere and got my partners' help then found these reviews realised, gave up and got a refund. Bunnings were great they should pull this lemon from the shelf no value for $99!

Terrible! Cant put together! Buy something else – Wish i would have seen the reviews before purchasing! Got it home and thought i had the wrong connectors as they require alot of hammering and brute force to put together. Heaven help me if i put one in the wrong way!.

Biggest Waste of time – We needed some under stair storage so we looked into the clever closet kits (now flexi storage?) and drew up all the plans we needed with basket arrangements etc. Hubby drove to bunnings and then got 90% of the products, then drove to another bunnings to get the connectors. (No the connectors don't come with the frames!) $400 later and time… Read more

to assemble - none of the connectors fit the frames. Thought we were going mad and then I googled these reviews.

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.

Do not buy this product. They make it look so easy and convenient when it is in fact the exact opposite of what it claims.

Put all the crap back into the car and drove back to Bunnings. Got a full refund.

Biggest load of crap – Brute force needed to hammer the L connectors took forever and caused wrist unjury; force required caused welding frame to fracture, had to go back and get another, were convinced we had the wrong connectors as they were so non user friendly but the Bunnings woman explained that they were the correct ones and that everyone had the same miserable experience- returned them and got very satisfactory item from IKEA.

and disassembling – Not only are they difficult to assemble, but they then don't stay assembled! They need constant adjusting and the drawers keep falling out as they wriggle apart. This does not seem to have a solution as once you re-hammer them, it happens again almost immediately.

Joke ! – Should have read reviews. Impossible ! required a return trip as it had no connectors . Came home with them. impossible ! Too hard ! Don't fit ! Ridiculous ! Don't buy .

What a heap of junk...avoid Bunnings' overpriced garbage! – I agree to assemble this piece of trash is a nightmare! No amount of heavy hammering renders this worthy of the $100 paid ... Do not buy this product, ever.

POOR QUALITY PRODUCT – I purchased the Clever Closet free standing frames for my daughter's wardrobe as the size was a good fit. Trying to assemble the frames, which appear to be straight forward and easy, is nothing short of a nightmare. After 30 or so minutes I managed to get 4 of the 8 connectors in one frame which required vigorous hammering which I'm surprised… Read more

hasn't bent or damaged the frame. The connectors are metal and very chunky. I'm no engineer but I'm sure there must be a better option to connect the frames together. I called Bunnings and the staff member offered to assemble the frames if I bring the frames in-store. After reading the other reviews on here I think I'll just be taking it all back for a refund. Extremely disappointing and a waste of time and money. Also another reviewer mentioned it is costly once you buy all the different parts. The 2 frames, connectors and baskets I bought came to approx $230. The quality is simply not worth it.

Find something else – Oh my goodness, don't I wish I saw these other reviews before wasting my time and money. Avoid this crappy product. At first look, they make it look like you can just slot it all together. HA! Dreaming. No instructions, you have to buy everything separately, which ends up quite expensive and it's a pain to assemble (nothing goes in straight, the… Read more

links don't fit very well, bash with a hammer until you think the frame is bending, etc, etc, etc). AVOID.

Terrible joinery – Just wasted $84 NZD on this pile of cr@p. The joining parts are huge and crude and don't appear to fit! Have been fiddling now for over half an hour and looks like this is going back to the shop! Don't waster your time with this one people!

hard to assemble, like very hard – This product has been changed to Flexi Storage Home solutions since I ordered it last week. It is the same Clever Closet only has a name change. The review before my is correct: needs hammering, and once you hammer it in it is final! Worse that it does not tell you that in the instructions, nor suggests which one to hammer in first. This frame is… Read more

rigid so nightmare begins when you have to join two sides up.

so don't make a mistake when you assemble it, it's not like Ikea where you can disassemble halfway.

Only get one star extra because the customer service is great, they replied my query within 2 hours of emailing them.

Misleading and poorly made – Bunnings advertises the wire basket kits with castors they don't have. Assembly requires hefty hammering with danger of damaging the frame. It is impossible to disassemble and upgrade to castors.
