My Experience – Several years ago my late wife received a phone call inviting her to a travel seminar in Parramatta, NSW. Against my advice, she brought her credit card with her and paid close to $6, 000 for membership in Club LaBourse. Shortly after, I discovered a website with many complaints and information about the scam and the scammers. One poster on the website was contacted and she alerted me to 'chargeback'. (The website was removed some years ago.) Duly I lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs in NSW, and after attending (I think twice), we received an order for the seller to refund our money with interest. That order was lodged with our credit provider (NAB) who subsequently credited the money to us.

After many years and complaints to our 'Consumer Watchdogs' (a relatively toothless lot), I consigned my thick folder of correspondence (between myself and other scammees, politicians, the press (generally ignored), Consumer Affairs, Club LaBourse and my bank) to the recycling bin.

Ripped off – After club labourse folded we were transferred to Classic Getaway Club where we still pay a yearly fee for, I am not sure what exactly as every time I try to book with them what we need is not available or it is extremely high in price (more than what we can find ourselves). Would like to hear from other regarding their experiences.

Ripoff – We joined club labourse travel pty ltd in 2008, never heard from them again, paid around $4,500, tried many times to contact them no response, down the track we contacted some liquidator we were put on to, who said company was no longer operating, no chance of getting money back, just found the paper work, no join these unless you have legal advice Expensive, with no return, no communication, then told company liquidated

Terrible – About a year ago we were approached by travel expo group, which I cannot locate in the web. They had a blue aero plane as a Logo. They invited us to an exciting travel club session. They mentioned that iwe will get free accomadation in Tasmania if we attend the session. We were bombarded with extensive amounts of lies in written contract paperwork. We brought a travel membership, simply me and my wife wanted to travel the world. The membership cost us $5000 to become members at Club Labours. It was organized to have it taken out of our credit cards over a period of time. Son after the total taken off, they send us platinum travel card with membership numbers. This all started when we went to book our holidays. We were told that they will organize car hire, Air Fares, hotel transfers to a guaranteed WHOLE SALE PRIZE. They could NOT organize the car hire, because they didn't have any contacts where we wanted to travel. Then we asked about the hotel and Air fares, it took us a week to hear back from them. What they said was that they could not get any contacts in Sri lanka. Sri Lanka is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the whole world. WE asked for our money back to due to we were not getting what we were promised. They ignore our calls and numerous E-mails and to start up with we were not given the opportunity of a cooling off period. As per Australian standards, any product similar to the above should come with a cooling off period. Finally I had to go to Vact- Comsumer affairs and they gave me Court hearing on March. This was three Months ago. I wish to inform you all out there neither say yes nor sign any contracts with this travel movement. They will rip you off for sure. If you get a chance: Google it under Club Labourse/Fraud and You will see how many people they have ripped off. Also Visit Crime share. [name censored] is the founder and CEO of this organization. He is the mastermind of took our $5000 for nothing. Additionally, I found out the existing members in this club were told that there are getting whole sale prized when they book it with them. All they do is they log in to web sites and find dodgy hotels to stay in and cheap long distanced flights, which takes you three different cities through transits to get to the destination that you wanted, I also found out that they Don't have any time share accommodation, what they do is they pick up last minute deals during Off peak season and offer it to the members.
