I was contacted quickly by phone after making my claim online. The claims officer I spoke to was friendly and helpful. The claim was settled quickly without any further stress to what was already a very frustrating time. history is with the manufacturers service centre. Three months after owning our boat disaster struck! We had our boat serviced and a week later the engine had completely ceased! At this point we had only been a customer of Club Marine for three months and looking at a repair bill in the tens of thousands of dollars. We contacted Club Marine, who were absolutely amazing! They made us feel at ease, they were very helpful and did all the work for us. Our claim was accepted and a brand new engine has been installed in our boat. We are so grateful and appreciative of Club Marine and their staff! Life long customer here that's for sure! Repairs took a long time due to the volume of work the canvas repair shop had on there books, plus I was not well with several medical problems. I ran into the reef with my boat, at 15 knot, it was pretty scary, i was lucky to make it back to my berth. I thought it was going to be a traumatic experience with the insurance claim, but it was not like that, when it was done, they also called me to make sure that i was happy with the repair. to get clarity around repairs, approvals, responsibilities, timelines, warranties, and even basic information about what work was actually being carried out.

The biggest frustration was the lack of transparency and accountability throughout the process. I often felt like I was the one managing the claim instead of the insurer and repair network doing it professionally. There were ongoing concerns about the quality and scope of repairs, confusion around damaged components, delays, and difficulty getting direct answers to reasonable questions.

As a boat owner, you place trust in your insurer to support you during a stressful situation. Instead, the experience left me exhausted, financially impacted, and with very little confidence in the overall process.

I understand repairs and insurance claims can be complex, but communication, honesty, and customer support should never be this difficult.

Lastly, the repairs are still not complete, and I haven't even received communication From Club Marine to see if they are!

I hope this feedback encourages improvements because no customer should have to go through this level of frustration simply trying to get their boat repaired properly.

extremely poor customer service provided by my case manager, who a number of time questioned the claim, ownership of the vessel and poor response time even though he has spoken to the repairer in the process.

Our claim experience with Club Marine was great. From the first call it was super easy. After providing all necessary photos and obtaining a quote to have our boat fixed, our claim was excepted. Club marine insurance, pleasant and extremely quick to deal with. Lodging to final settlement took about 3mths due to parts not available in the country. Part of the claim was knocked back due to wear and tear , but this was all explained and was no problem. Can only recommend Club Marine Show reply

What really stood out was how thorough they were. They even double-checked my claim to make sure I had included everything. At the time, I was still waiting on an invoice from one of the suppliers, which unfortunately took around six weeks to come through. Despite the original claim already being processed, once I finally received the invoice and sent it through, Club Marine had no hesitation in adding it to the claim and paying the additional amount.

The entire process was handled quickly, fairly and with excellent communication throughout. It's reassuring to know that when something goes wrong, you have an insurer that genuinely looks after its customers.

I can't thank the team enough for their support and would highly recommend Club Marine to anyone looking for an insurer that delivers when you actually need them.

Our 50+ year-old yacht was struck by lightning late last year, and being on a swing-mooring in Moreton Bay was difficult to access for quotes and repairs.
