If u could give this minus stars I would. This should not be allowed. It obviously wasn’t a real rump steak and it tasted like leather. Appalling. Show details
We have bought six different cuts of steaks from Coles & we could not eat it, waist of money as we had to throw it in the bin. With the very high of beef prices we cannot afford such a waist Show details
I bought well took out a second morgage , to purchase coles RUMP STEAK, and was well underwhelmed, we have some of the best beef in the world , sadly the two steaks that we purchased and cooked came from cows that ate rubber plants, They were beyond chewing gum chewy and Impossible to cut even using the home chain saw and we even tried the bench… Read more

Coles grass fed rump. Absolutely the worst steak I have ever tried to eat. Too tuff, had to throw out. Take this rubbish off the shelves and stop ripping of the consumer.
Customer Servise? - As if!!! – I Recently purchased a Coles Grass Fed Rump steak from Coles in Booragoon Western Australia. After cooking it I tried cutting it with a serated knife - Unsuccesfully! It was so tough, sinewy and marbled with fat and gristle that I used my teeth to scrape what meat I could to eat. The 300gm steak was $11, making it almost $40/Kg - When the… Read more
uneatable bits were weighed up, they accounted for almost one third of the 300gm bringing the kg price of the edible portion to $55/kg. Certainly not a cheap cut! The next day (23/10/2024) I presented at Coles/Garden City Booragoon and made a formal complaint to [Name Removed] the customer service manager available as both the Store manager and Meat manager were not in that day. [Name Removed] was most helpfull and gave me a refund after filling out a PCF (Product complaint form). She advised that someone from the store or Customer Care would be in touch as I had requested. One week later I am still waiting for the Store Manager/Meat Manager or Customer Care person to contact me! I guess the short answer is that Coles Customer Care is Missing in inaction. No wonder many customers are moving to Woolies and Aldi!
Not what it looked like in the packaging – I bought this because it was (a) cheap and (b) looked like a nice thick single piece of meat. I've had Coles' porterhouse steak previously and it was nice and thick and good flavour. But this rump steak was actually two thin pieces, one on top of the other in the packaging so that it looked like one thick piece, except that it wasn't. Disappointing and verging on deliberately misleading Show details
Coles Beef Rump Steak quality and cut plummet – Coles Beef Rump Steak at the Gympie store has been very very good (for the $24-$27 range) for many years now but last week we stocked up and found the steak to be tasteless, tough and fatty. The cuts look like a 10 year old has had a go with cleaver or an axe. Apparently Coles fired all of their butchers " because that was what the customers… Read more
wanted" -- ??????? What bull&*^(&* rump. Th meat is disgusting now. We will be sampling the butchers in town from now on.
Horrible – This is the second time I’ve bought Rump steak at Coles Kurri Kurri, but never again. It’s so tough it’s almost impossible to chew and swallow it. We have had dodgy meat from there before, but there’s no choice, the local butcher is a rip off and the meat is too. Hey Coles, do you send all your rubbish meat to Kurri knowing there’s so little… Read more
choice? We are fed up here with rubbish. Looks like we will have to try Woolworths in Cessnock, fingers crossed. Don’t mention Aldi, theirs is worse, good for car tyres. I know Coles doesn’t care, but we are angry.
