Coles Heat & Eat Cottage Pie

We recently purchased two Coles brand Heat and Eat Cottage Pies as we were having guests coming to our house prior to going out to the theatre and needed something precooked and quick to heat up. Both were an absolute disgrace with negligible filling. Initially we thought there was something wrong with the first tray, but the second was just the same, a runny mess of potato and oil with next to no meat or vegetables. I was embarrassed to have served such a mess and will never buy this product again. It should be removed from Coles shelves as the representative packaging bears no resemblance to the actual slurry this product contains.

Coles should be utterly ashamed of their Ready Meal 1.2kg Cottage Pie. I beleive that the photos says it all! but I will added the following.The taste was terrible the texture was like a thick vegetable soup and the 19% beef, as mentioned as part of the pie's ingredients, was unrecognisable! Once the pie was cooked and taken out of the oven a spoon was needed to divide the pie into four portions. As shown in the photo's it was a runny mess with NO redeeming features. Hang you head in shame Coles Australia! You ask hard working Aussie to pay $14.50 for a dish that even an army canteen would NOT serve up. The potatoe Jewels in the photos did not come with the Ready Meal 1.2kg Cottage Pie. Another thing I and my guest found after eating the pie that our mouths become very dry. I strongly recommend that this product is boycotted. I'm now not liking to try any of the other family size Coles Ready Meals for this one left a BAD taste in our mouths. If I could give this product less than a 1 star rating I most certainly would have.
