Coles Kitchen Thai Green Chicken Curry & Rice
Verified2 reviews
Lack lustre kitchen meal – The serving size was decent, and the flavour was okay. But honestly could count the pieces of chicken on one hand, The ingredients state; “sweet & sour chicken (57%)” Disappointed
Purchased in at Coles for $8.
Old recipe was better – When Coles first introduced the Coles kitchen range I was pleasantly surprised at the freshness and quality of the meals. The recipes were as close to home cooked as you could get for this type of product. The short shelf life meant they were recently cooked and in no way like a frozen dinner. I commented prophetically at the time to my family that now Coles had a terrific product I hoped that they don't ruin the quality and increase the price. Well, it looks like the bean counters at Coles have gotten their way. The Thai green curry is a good example of how it all fell apart. The original recipe was creamy in texture with a great flavour. The new recipe is watery and not as appetising. And just to add to the insult Coles has jacked up the price. All I can say to Coles is thank you. The only reason I (foolishly) loyally shopped at Coles was because of those great meals. Now I have no reason to be exclusive and will shop around. These large companies just can't help themselves. Greed is the amphetamine of their industry.
