Crap product user reviews – Ok I'm cold. I get consistent e6 which says 15c is warm. Then I get e0 which Is some gas purge problem. I paid a lot of money guys Your product is so crap. You basically screwed me over with lies and crap real men would fight. Send me your best rep. I've just used aggressive language. You lie? You pay
Dud – Used a few times over a weekend and it was great, used next weekend and after 10 minutes it went up in flames! Caused fair bit of damage being next to camp and burnt through the gas hose. Very disappointed
Crack a window – Apart from the potential fire hazard of knocking the gas bottle over the main concern about using these heaters inside is oxygen depletion. They consume oxygen and emit CO2. Use them in a confined space and they will suffocate you. However cracking a window is sufficient to provide enough fresh air to prevent that from happening. [name removed] is right, He is using it far beyond what it was designed for and it will burn out. A better solution is the Companion LP Gas Heater, a free standing model that contains 3 ceramic elements and comes with an Oxygen depletion switch. It is much more effective and built to last. It is three times the cost of the gas bottle mounted heater but it is a safer and more durable option.
Long live this product! – Actually using it against all recommendations. Purchased winter 2012 & used/using as indoor heater (bad boy). Purchased elbow adaptor to fit 8.5kg cylinder. You will find on new cylinder for first hour or two that it needs constant adjustment(pressure to equalise), but once this has occured it's "happy days". Found that a full 8.5 cylinder gives us approx 3-4 wks worth of heating.
This sort of use is much more than designed for, so...you will find that after prolonged use ( weeks ) it will burn through parts of the element ( have no fear), simply keep an eye on it
Have just purchased another unit against total "breakdown" for use this winter~2013. Well worth it.
