Durable and timeless. We bought it as it is light weight and easy to handle by all members of the family. One bowl broke and we said something to Corelle who replaced it with no questions asked. Often on sale at places like Big W.

Brilliant product – We have purchased 15 years ago complete set, for 8 persons. Whole of it is stored in one large drawer. Corelle dishes are so light that self closing drawer, handles it without problems. Important thing, all dishes are still like new. Highly recommended.

Poor quality no longevity in designs – In 1980 we received a set of corelle (strawberry sundae) that still looks brilliant and hasn’t faded. We changed to a different style and pattern in 2018, these have held up terribly, fading unevenly and quickly. Customer service is of absolutely no help. Sadly disappointed in the quality of the new products.

Consistent high quality for over two decades – I’ve purchased dozens of Corelle plates and bowls over the past two decades, and their quality has remained consistently high throughout this period. I have yet to break any of them. Unlike other plates and bowls, Corelle’s bottoms are very smooth, making them particularly well-suited for dishwashers.

Easy compnay to deal with and an outstanding product – I had one of the plates spontaneously break in the drying rack (yes, not dropped - although my kids DID drop a plate and it didn't break ) and I contacted the company in Australia. What a nice surprise and a great company! I was already impressed that there was a no fuss claim process under their guarantee, but SUPER impressed and every grateful… Read more

that I got the whole set (that I couldn't find anywhere) to add to my current collection. I love this dinnerware for every day use. They are super light, very pretty, don't chip and teenager proof. I'm definitely going to get rid of my old heavy plates bit by bit (as they chip and break - once they have a chip they are ugly and unhygienic), and replace everything with Corelle eventually. Will definitely be buying again.

Shattered corelle plates! – I brought these cause I have kids in the house. I've had 3 shattered when dropped down (not high height) on my wooden floor! It shattered like glass shattering! This is more dangerous than the $3 kmart plates! I do not recommend these seriously.

Doesn’t match its specifications – Corelle advertised as break resistant and durable, but this may be not right because it is not only breakable but break EASILY. Please see attached photo for how fragile Corelle is (I have 5 broken in the past two years). I thought this might only be my issue but when I look at the rating from this review, I see that I’m not alone, and many have… Read more

the same experience of how flimsy Corelle is. I would never buy Corelle anymore because it is not worth the price.

When I reported to the customer service of my first broken bowl, they replaced me a new one. But when I reported the second time, they ignored me.

Both the product and customer service are not as good as how Corelle is branded. Look good and work well in the beginning but not long lasting. Very disappointed :/

I really hope the CEO of Corelle will go through all the reviews and understand how flimsy of its products. Or he doesn’t really care???

Will not be buying again – Had purchased three dinnerware sets about 15yrs ago have lasted extremely well, but do get very hot when heating in the microwave was very pleased with them. I thought it was time for a change of pattern and purchased two dinnerware sets I will say the newer ones today are really not at all the same quality 3 out of 8 dinner plates are slightly… Read more

larger and colour is not uniform. I noticed after the purchase that they are made in a different country than my older sets. I WILL NOT PURCHASE THESE AGAIN.

It breaks! – This Corelle crockery is advertised as BREAK-RESISTANT, but it is definitely not! It breaks into hundreds of tiny dangerous sharp shards. Customer service just ignored my repeated complaint. Highly recommend NEVER purchasing this product.

Most economical dinner set – I bought my first set around 20 years ago to try it out when my children were younger. We were going through so many dishes that I was hoping for something that would last better. I also bout a melamine dinner set at the same time. Both sets were a great investment and they have lasted at least 10 times longer than a normal set. I still have… Read more

many pieces. These are the good points - they are long lasting - they can be used in the microwave - they do not discolour - the are very light so are easy to handle These are the bad points - they can become too hot and hard to hold - they shatter when dropped, I believe they are made from glass

Overall, I couldn't be happier with the purchase

Not chip or break resistant – Bought couple sets approx 1yr ago , have had plates chip and plates break, all broken ones have broke straight down the middle in a zig zag pattern, hadn’t kept receipt as I thought I only had 12 months warranty but apparently they give you 3 yrs, contacted corelle the customer service is terrible they don’t reply you have to keep following them up, I thought they state lifetime quarantine but it’s only for 3yrs won’t be purchasing again

Plate smashes – I thought Corelle was supposed to be unbreakable? Dropped a plate & it smashed into lots of pieces. It's not unbreakable but is lighter . I'm not buying anymore,it's cheaper to just get ordinary china.

Corelle Classic plates/bowls: all edges become very rough progressively when washed with dishwasher – I have been using dishwasher for 20+ years. I bought these Correlle dishes because they were supposed to be dishwasher safe and not easy to break. Progressively, most of the dishes are now very rough around all edges and the edges become so rough that they are no longer pleasant to use. I am absolutely convinced that Corelle dishes are not… Read more

dishwasher safe otherwise I could not have these many Corelle dishes with rough edges. I feel cheated because Corelle dishes are supposedly dishwasher safe. This is the reason why I finally took the time to report this problem to Corelle USA a few days ago. They did not acknowledge the problem except to pass my report to the relevant department.

While being frustrated with their lack of acknowledgment of the problem, I started looking for similar problems reported by others and I have found the following report at https://libanswers.cmog.org/faq/144022: Q. Why does Corelle get brittle as it ages? A. When we contacted the makers of Corelle with this question, we received the following response : Please be advised that we have recently learned that abrasive automatic dishwasher detergents can cause damage to Corelleware and cause the dinnerware to become weak. Over time the dinnerware may become rough or chipped along the edges. The finish may wear off and the pattern/color may fade. If items are dropped or bumped/banged damage may occur because the dinnerware is weak. We recommend using less abrasive automatic dishwashing detergents such as Palmolive, Sunlight, or a store brand.

By the way, only my Corelle dishes have all rough edges progressively. All my pyrex dishes and Corningware dishes are fine. My plan is to eventually junk these Corelle dishes when I can afford buying replacement dishes from other brands.

Light but shatters into a million shards – The good thing about these is that they’re lighter than “normal” plates/bowls/cups. I bought a set 20 years ago. The plates survived a short drop without breaking. They don’t survive more than a 10 cm fall nowadays (including new ones purchased at the end of 2018). The worst thing about these when they break is that they shatter into lots of… Read more

tiny shards (around 0.5 mm in size) which travel up to 5 m away. It’s a big task cleaning up once there’s breakage.

They’re good if you want something light. Just don’t count on them not breaking and be prepared to spend a long time cleaning up lots of little shards that scatter over a large area.

Deceptive product & awful customer service – I bought a Corelle Bella Faenza dinner set few days ago. The mugs are just rubbish! Those ones that you may find in Kmart for nothing! Even their greyish white doesn't match the bright white of the plates and bowls and astonishingly they call it a SET!!! Doesn't a big brand such as Correlle know what a SET mean?! Yes, it does! They have included… Read more

the cheapest ugliest mug in the set to deceive customers that they are getting a good bargain and to encourage them to buy the set even if they don't really need some pieces! (Because the set is apparently cheaper than buying individually) I asked the company to take the responsibility for this misbehaviour but they said just take it back to the store!!! I had spent so much time and energy for purchasing it and I needed the plates and bowls but I hated that I was treated as a stupid human being! I don't accept such a big name includes rubbish in its boxes and get away with that! FYI, the mug was not on display the day I purchased the set!

Joke of a warranty and product – Do not purchase this product if you are expecting the original quality of Corelle. My grandparents owned Corelle dor over forty years and never had a problem. I purchased this set of dishes and dropped a saled plate on the floor. The plate broke into a ridiculous number of pieces. When I contacted the company, I was told that dropping a plate… Read more

is not considered normal use. Please do not purchase a Corelle product expecting the sturdy safe nature of their products from the past. Obviously they are providing cheap quality products at this point and they are aware of this issue since dropping a plate is not considered normal use.

So glad I have one of these sets! – Never had this type of dinner set before because I was afraid of it getting broken but it is really tough compared to other sets I have had. I can't believe it! I love the way they stack as well - taking only a small space in the cupboard. We have 4 children and the plates are all still intact! worth the price for quality

Excellent – This is a great option for everyday dinner ware. Its easy to clean and can be placed in the microwave and also in the dishwasher too. It comes in a variety of designs are various sizes too. These are also great to use as dinner plates for formal dinners or when friends drop by. I have some of these plates for everyday use and they are very… Read more

lightweight and easy to clean. I do not know if they are all unbreakable, because I have dropped a plate before and it didnt break, but I have dropped a bowl which just shattered into a million pieces of procelain. They can be expensive, but different designs are found in a lot of the major stores and even in Coles or Woolies, and can be found on sale too.
