Craftright Bike Floor Pump
2 reviews
Really easy to use, quick and value for money – A light but well built floor pump I'm using for my mountain bike. So much faster to use at home; the tiny pump you ride with is still a must but it takes so long to pump up a tyre because of the small air chamber.
Light work of flat bike tyre – This bike floor-pump leaves a bike hand-pump for dead. The difference in effort needed to pump up a tyre between a hand pump and a floor pump is amazing and ... you an pump more air into the tyre with a floor pump. I'd imagine most floor pumps are easier to use than hand pumps and I'm gushing a bit because I've just discovered floor pumps after years of straining my arms using a hand pump. The floor pump under review is very light and does the job fine. A possible quirk is that the lever for the valve locks in a horizontal rather than a downward snapping position i.e. you fit the lever on the valve when it is in the downward position and then snap it up to horizontal to lock it to the valve. Took me a while to get used to this but I'm no tech-head. Twenty bucks for what is essentially a hollow plastic tube seemed a bit excessive. I reckon $12.99 is a more realistic price.
