Vis-À-Vis 68- bag cracked on second use, Crumpler wouldn’t refund or replace, and they said to contact the airline m, didn’t ask for a photo of the damage until I pointed out they haven’t even seen a photo. I had to email them back about 6-7 times over two months. I quoted the Australian consumer guarantee, finally got a replacement bag, will see how long this one lasts for.
Love the bags, and they used to fix them when they failed. I own a dozen or so, and I brought a couple to the shop in Sydney over the years when they had problems, and they sent to Melbourne, fixed them, then sent them back keeping them going and keeping them from landfill. No longer the case. Now, they don't even respond to emails when you submit… Read more
repair requests. I guess that is what happens when hipster doofuses become neoliberal capitalists. They become like all the other unreliable companies plaguing the earth.
Same as other reviews, terrible experience with reparing. strap anchor point on my messenger bag broke with very light use. send email for repair, but no reponse whatsoever. Life time warranty is a total SCAM! it is life time NO REPONSE after purchase.
Scam lifetime warranty – I don't usually write reviews and try to work with the business to address the problem, but I want to write this to warn others about their decision when buying their next bag. My crumpler backpack strap anchor started failing within a couple of years of light use. I emailed them to raise a warranty repair. I have tried to follow up 2 times now, but they don't reply. Poor quality bag with a scam "lifetime warranty"

Failed to honour warranty on my vis-a-vis case – Rubbish company. Won't buy anything from them again. The warranty they offer is useless. The don't answer emails. Not worth it. Have emailed them everywhere about my broken case which is under warranty, send them proof , messages on Facebook, instagram etc - NO RESPONSE. You have been warned. Similar to all the other comments here. Zero star if I that were possible
Lifetime warranty claims refused as general wear and tear – Caution over lifetime warranty claim! Made a warranty claim which I'm sure other bag manufacturers (like Osprey) would have honoured. However got a response saying it was general wear and tear. The quality is missing these days with this company. So too is it's customer service. I think I'll just stick with Osprey backpacks moving fwd, which I've owned for many years without fault.
Won't honour warranty on case that seams frayed after a few uses – Won't honour warranty on case that seams / stitching frayed after a few uses. Justified as "wear and tear".
High priced low quality bag – The wheels fell apart on my Crumpler bag. Was expensive to buy and they now ignore my emails and want me to purchase the wheels. Do yourself a favour and stay away from these bags. Cheap overseas bag sold as premium bag! Warranty is a scam
Quality is not great, lifetime warranty is limited – I bought two crumpler dry red bags - a large and an overnight. Both developed problems. The stitching on the larger bag came undone a few different places. This was a fault. The bag didn't get much use (during the pandemic). The wheel on the overnight bag cracked - see photo. This bag got a lot of use, but if they used decent quality wheels, this… Read more
wouldn't have happened. Rollerblade and scooter wheels don't crack like that. I tried to get both fixed under warranty. They insisted I post the large bag to them. This was so expensive, it was cheaper to get it fixed locally myself. The wheel wasn't covered by warranty. Pretty disappointing. Crumpler don't live up to the hype - indeed, if you look at their website they seem to put more effort into being cool than they do making quality products.
Stay away! Crumpler lies – Had a bag that was under warranty for material damage and Crumpler sent a new bag to the wrong address and now they won’t compensate a new bag even though they said they will send another bag. It’s been 4 months since starting this complain and no one is helping or responding to my emails now! Worse customer service and one very frustrating… Read more
experience. CRUMPLER R I want my bag! It shouldn’t take 4 months!!! They even lied about sending another one and somehow forgot to get a tracking number! Shame on you Crumpler!
Purchase with caution. 'Famous' lifetime warranty no longer exists.. it seems crumpler may not either ! – I have been a 20 year+ loyal crumpler customer & have purchased literally dozens of items from satchels to backpacks, camera bags, sleeves, luggage & even bean bags. I have had very few failures from the numerous products I own, but there have been 3 or 4 over the years, which have ALL been repaired without question every time...until now. My well… Read more
used spring peeper luggage recently 'gave way' & a buckle/strap failed. Upon taking it back to the Crumpler Fitzroy store for repair, - I was told that the process has changed & you must now take a photo of the damage & forward it to repairs@crumpler.com for assessment. You may be asked to pay a small fee for repair That was 4 weeks ago... no response. Upon calling both of their 2 'remaining' stores...no answer. I feel that both Crumplers lifetime warranty & Crumpler itself, have all but gone. They still sell their products online though.. & the quality is noticeable deteriorated to the point of cheap, flimsy rubbish. How sad to see this Australian institution for quality baggage fall into such a sad state. Buyer beware
