CTEK MXS 25

Quality not as claimed – I bought this charger in 2015 and expected that it would last. My MXS25 was only used a few times to charge up my 2 cars that have 100 AH large lead acid batteries whenever they went flat after some mishap. After 4 years the CTEK MXS25 no longer even powers up. Not a professional charger as claimed.

Lemon – The MXS25 is commonly used in caravans and if it fails at some point of the journey, you are unable to replace it until it has been returned for warranty consideration unless you purchase a replacement then you have two which is about $800. You do not need two of these expensive chargers but if you wish to continue free camping on you trip then there is little alternative.

I am in this position and now find that on my current trip I have had a further new unit fail. Do I really need to purchase another lemon?
