I spent a lot of money on getting a resume, cover letter and LinkedIn package. So far, I have not landed a single job interview submitting the new CV. I seemed to be getting more hits on my old CV so I wonder how good these guys are. It looks great, but doesn't speak anything about me that matters in the job market.

I would never recommend this company at all, they have basic writers writing for executive customers. So you’re paying for a high end writer but getting a base line writer that doesn’t have the experience, this has been proven as majority of customers have asked for a refund due to unprofessional writers. correctly then make them redundant and don’t pay them the last entitlements or any other monies owing to them. So I wouldn’t recommend getting a job with them nor getting a resume written either. The company is running itself into the ground not making a profit while the owners just fly all over the country spending all of the profit on themselves, also not paying their workers. Leaving their recently unemployed staff high and dry, basically they expect you to work for free by the looks of it. I’d be looking into another PROFESSIONAL writing company if I was you.

only not sorted the issue, but they are just ignoring me. Do not use them. Please put your money somewhere it can actually be put to use. The money I invested in this was a lot for me, and I am now put in a position where I cannot afford another service even if I wanted to, which puts my job search on hold and this impacts me even further financially. They do not care about their customers. Please find a company that does.

revised CV read like an AI'd version of the content I already had. To me, it was far too verbose (I say that as a fairly verbose writer myself); the swap-out of key verbs with numerous ill-fitting synonyms almost reads as written by someone for whom English is a second language. If the narrative I already had in my CV didn't need to be enhanced, I would have preferred that feedback was provided, rather than change for the sake of change. - I purchased the package from a website with a New Zealand domain name, however I was directed to an Australian-based consultant. This creates the possibility that any nuances in recruiting practises, and/or expected presentation of job applications, may not be fully appreciated by a consultant not currently based in the country that you are job-hunting in. - I'm not sure in retrospect, that the service reflects good value for the money charged. - Reviews for this service are actively solicited post completion of the work. The consultant receives a payment for (positive only?) reviews that name them - this was disclosed. I couldn't say how or whether this changes the authenticity of the feedback provided, but it may do, so you should be aware of that possibility in reading the reviews here.

Based on my experience i was recommended the package of Management Resume, Cover Letter & LinkedIn Optimisation .I was appointed Angela H (Ange) who called me at the agreed time. I was impressed with her punctuality, caring nature and attention to detail.

Ange obtained all the information that was needed to write up my documents. I reviewed the documents and requested some minor changes and Ange had my second drafts ready within 24 hours.

Unresponsive Service and Unresolved Issues – They did not respond in a timely manner and seemed indifferent to my concerns. After taking my payment, they failed to deliver what I specifically requested. I explained multiple times that there was no logical connection between different parts of my CV, which is why I initially sought their help. Instead of completing the service I had already paid for, they demanded more money. At that point, I felt like I was being scammed.

Unreliable take your money and get no feedback – I paid my money over a week ago now no one wants to talk to me, I have sent 10 emails and about as many phone calls, keep getting told someone will call me back and I get no feedback.

New consultant assigned every week – In the first month, I was assigned 3 consultants and the third consultant went on 3 weeks leave as soon as she was assigned the project. I had to provide most of the content with little to no value/suggestions provided by the consultant. Not worth the money charged.

Proceed with caution – The website advertises a specified turn around; however they don't say this is based off the ability to get a meeting with a CV writer if urgent do not purchase until you have called if on a time crunch for job application. surcharge, when i declined they said they would upgrade for free however i had already sourced and received my new resume. Since then, i have tried to get a refund - crickets - it has been a month since i purchased. I allowed til to cover christmas however still nothing.

I particularly valued her judgment when selecting templates and condensing paragraphs down to concise sentences without losing the substance. worked on my profile but the whole experience has left me thinking twice about using the company's services again.I was really desperate to get my next role as my contract was getting over. The company does not really care about the customer but is trying to play with their emotions and take advantage of their vulnerability.

Great service will recommend – The service was very useful and would highly recommend it. Angela was the writer assigned to my project and I was highly impressed by the work she did as well as the time and effort she afforded to my project. Timely delivery with flexibility too – I ordered a package with 3 components. The first two had a very tight deadline and the 3rd could wait a bit. The first two were delivered faster than promised, even with aditional review. All in all, a great service.

Disappointing and possible scam artists – I wonder if the good reviews on this page are from employees of CV People? My experience has been far from ideal, I am unhappy with the outcome and I cannot even manage to speak with anyone to discuss a way to address the issues. Please do not waste your money because despite their "money back guarantee" they clearly have no wish to fulfill client expectations or to engage with them to find a solution if those expectations are not met.

Initial free consult sent alarm bells – I enquired about what the 'money back guarantee' meant and how this applied regarding getting interviews. I felt the answer was danced around and it took me multiple times coming back to the question at different stages in the conversation to get clarity. I gave this feedback to the person taking my call so I hope they are more direct in the future. This raises alarm bells for me and I'm not sure if I will continue to explore their services.
