Cygnett Aeroshield Case for iPhone

Overpriced and NO cover for the lens! – I thought Cygnett is a good brand after reading reviews on their battery banks. Worst case I have ever bought and so expensive! At least include a cover for the lens. From the box, it looks like this was part of the protective case! I wished I had read the reviews before buying. I was eager to change my case (which is many times better than this Cygnett) as my old case leaves unsightly fingerprints. Not recommended at all. Show details
Does not protect your phone – I am a firm believer of phone cases and I always have a case on at all times as I am a klutz. After having my iPhone for two years without a scratch, it was change my old case and after I changed to this case, I dropped it once the back screen completely smashed! With the case on! You had one job!! Show details
Rubbish – Overpriced piece of plastic, $39, the edges are not high enough and the corners are not built up to prevent the screen from contact when dropped, purchased because it was the only one available, dropped a brand new phone and smashed the screen. On the positive side someone is making a lot of money! Show details

phone has cracked. Cover has provided not support to my phone. Complete waste of money purchasing this cover
Very Nice Case – Love this case. It fits my phone perfectly. Love the rounded edges as well. Only thing I would like is for it to become available in more colours, however I still highly reccommend! Show details
Good case but one major flaw – I purchased a new case for my iPhone 8 because my old case was starting to fall apart. I wanted something simple that was transparent as I like having transparent cases and not too bulky. Polycarbonate plastic was also a must as polyurethane (I.e. the soft flexible clear plastics you see on cases) tend to yellow over time as a result of exposure… Read more
to sunlight.
After a bit of searching the Cygnett Aeroshield appeared to suit my requirements: it was both thin and clear, and somewhat minimalist overall. It was also widely available at JB Hi-Fi and Myer, so was easily obtainable and could be looked at in store.
Overall it’s an okay case. The main problem is that the edges of the case that wrap around the bezel are somewhat sharp, so when you hold the phone up to your ear it actually kind of hurts a bit! You’d think that wouldn’t be the CASE (punny!) but it actually is, even though you don’t press your phone against your head that hard when making calls.
The Aeroshield unfortunately isn’t completely made of polycarbonate; the plastic that wraps around the edge is made of polyurethane and has to be flexible to absorb any shocks from drops. The Aeroshield name itself comes from the fact the corners have little air pockets that help to absorb shocks when dropped on the corner. I haven’t conducted any drop tests myself so I can’t attest to how well they work though.
Overall the case is okay, it looks good but it’s uncomfortable to use when making calls. The outer edge around the phone will also yellow over time.
Sharp edges, waste of money – The sides are rounded but there is a sharp edge facing forwards and a less pronounced but still sharp ridge facing back. So it's uncomfortable to hold and hurts your ear when you make calls. Waste of money that will be going in the bin along with its excessive, non-recyclable packaging.
