Beautiful umbrella and wonderfully presented. Delivery was painless and quick. I will purchase again. Thank you.
fast service. Umbrella as described. Tracking and notification was poor. (That's why 4 stars). Apart from that, ALL GOOD! Show details
I've purchased 4 Davek umbrella. We love them, two as gifts for my daughters. Proven very strong in gusty wind. Very compact and light for carrying in bags. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone. Show details
my umbrella always break and couldn't withstand the wind so I decided get davek umbrella. it's high quality and the price is worth it. lifetime warranty is a big bonus. Show details
I purchased one last year and used it all through Eygpt and Jordan and it was perfect SO this one I purchased for my mum and she loves it - cannot recommend it highly enough Show details
A perfect size and wind resistent umbrella for my backpack and the increasingly unpredictable weather. Show details
I have not received the product and has been returned to sender as I don’t live in South Australia. I bought it for my son who lives in Melbourne and I live in Queensland
handle is nice to hold and the umbrella is very sturdy Show details
You get what you pay for! Beautiful umbrella. Excellent build quality. Show details
I love mine. It is light and compact and can be carried easily anywhere. Show details
The quality of the umbrellas at Devek have dramatically changed and got the worse. The mini umbrella is overpriced and the quality of the product doesn’t match the price. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Don’t fall for them, they also make it impossible to return. Not only did I pay $12 to ship back their awful product, they also deduct $9.95. I had… Read more
no issue paying to return the umbrella back but To deduct it from my original payment when it was awful and already defective. Highly recommend everyone to run from the brand. Horrible experience with customer service.
Unfortunately I have found the Davek mini umbrella to be nowhere as good as I had expected. My previous mini umbrella was much cheaper and more effective. I cannot recommend this umbrella. Customer service were prompt in response, but no offer of a refund. Show details
Best so far – My son went through so many umbrellas. The large fold up Davek is still going 12months plus in Show details

10 year review. Not bad – Bought in 2014 and reviewing in 2024. I’m surprised to see mostly negative reviews. Maybe the quality has gone down since I bought mine? Probably like most, I found Davek after churning through a few cheap umbrellas and was sick of the waste. I bought a Davek Solo and a Senz mini. I like them both but have found the Devek a bit heavier duty and… Read more
offering better rain protection with a larger canopy, so the Davek lives in my bag. Only recently one of the spines has come out of its sheath. I can get it back in but it’s a tad loose. I can’t find my order number for the warranty and reading reviews I’m leaning on the side of glueing it back in myself rather than shipping it off for a replacement. All in all, it has stood up well for 10 years, lived in Mediterranean and tropical climates, plus been on many domestic trips. No regrets here, but can’t vouch for their current quality. 4 stars because I’ll likely need to send it back for a replacement, paying for shipping twice.
Avoid - lifetime warranty misleading – I purchased one umbrella with high hopes, but after a few mild uses one of the ribs stopped functioning and it was replaced. Then shortly afterwards the same issue occurred with the replacement & I was told that I needed to pay for postage to NY to have it 'reviewed'. The product doesn't seem to be as good as they claim and the lifetime warranty is misleading.
Two 'premium' umbrellas broken in the same time period like the usual cheep umbrella - never again – I bought a Davek Traveller umbrella because it has life time warranty and I wanted to reduce the waste generated. If after years of use it gets brocken, it could be repaired and used again. So much for the theory. The reality was very different. My umbrella broke already after a few times of usage. Shipped it back to UK - covered the shipment cost… Read more
myself of course-, well, it could not be repaired and I got a new one. With the second umbrella it is absolutely the same story. Seriously, how we can talk about high quality product here? Additionally, apparently in the meantime Davek are not shipping to Switzerland anymore which means my umbrella cannot be even replaced this time. The company can only offer me a partial refund for my purchase.
Positioning as high quality product and life time warranty seem to be only a nice marketing hook. No, thanks, never again.
More Hype than substance – Like many people I thought I was on to a good thing..the stem of the umbrella went rusty very quickly and now the plastic clip that holds the umbrella in lock mode has fallen apart rendering my pride and joy useless! I will seek something similar for a 3rd the price elsewhere! Show details
Bad quality – Very bad quality, stop think like expensive things will be good quality. This umbrella worst than the one I bought in any market for $15 Show details
Waste of money – Purchased from Davek Australia. This is pretty much the same quality to the $10 umbrella I bought from the supermarket. Show details
What a disappointment!!! – Purchased a Davek Duet New York umbrella "in a class of its own" "Unconditionally guaranteed for life" $200. First one fell to pieces on the first windy winters day I took it out and cost $30 in freight charges to get a replacement. Absolutely no contact from the website listed local rep, postal address only. Now the replacements automatic opening… Read more
system has become manual? This product is pitched as a upmarket, high quality, brand. My experience has been an expensive substandard product made to look good on a fancy website. Its a total sham!
Davek Traveler Umbrella – After paying $149 for A Davek Traveler Umbrella I expected it to last longer than three times of use!! This product is absolute rubbish, don't buy one. It is also very hard after opening, to get it back into the protective cover. Show details
Davek Solo - Best Umbrella to date I've ever used – Hi, I felt I needed to provide some balance to the two negative reviews here I've seen. I bought my Davek Solo around 3 years ago and when I've needed an umbrella regardless of the conditions it has never let me down, the umbrella looks and feels like a quality umbrella and compliments professional attire. Probably through carelessness more than… Read more
anything else I did manage to bend a part of the umbrella when I was putting it away, I could have continued using it but as the weather outlook had improved I took up the Davek unconditional warranty promise and sent it off for repair/replacement. Long story short I had a shiny new umbrella in my possession about 2 weeks later for the cost of postage.
I'm not naïve enough to think my umbrella is unbreakable but for the cost of postage (which is the same if not similar) of the cost of the purchase of a cheap inferior umbrella I know I'll always have a quality functional umbrella by my side.
Davek Umbrella: Not as storm proof as they claim! – I bought the Solo model (unique ID:32418), as its compact, fits in my backpack and has a bevy of guarantees as to its brilliance. Used it a couple of times in heavy rain and it was effective. Then one blustery, sodden afternoon I opened it and made haste for the car parked roughly 700 metres away. By Street corner 1, It had inverted itself and in… Read more
my frantic attempt to regain its true shape, I nearly lost an eyeball. By Corner 3, it had repeated its inversion manoeuvre twice more requiring me to rapidly master the art of quick-wrist-action-correction and all without loosing my precious eyesight or spraining my wrist. Having crewed on my Uncles Yacht as a teenager, I know about sails and spinnakers but didn't expect to be reliving those frantic tacking actions on a busy Sydney street to restrain the unwieldy now weaponised brolly extraordinaire. Viewed from onlookers perspective, I must have looked like I was rehearsing the spiked umbrella scene from "For Your Eyes Only" Bond Movie. Buy another?..Not likely. Recommend to anyone other than a foreign spy...No. Cost: Bruising to the wrist, Cut to the right temple, $149.00, swear box full after 3 blocks. Part 2: Umbrella now a decoration in the hedge of a commercial building: Opened up the expensive brolly and it performed as last time to the extent that I slipped and fell trying to get it back into shape. It buckled quite badly and was obviously broken and now lives in a hedge gathering litter and knowing glances from others whom no doubt have drawn the conclusion of another failed umbrella. Today, I shredded the box it came in and want to reaffirm to anyone out there, just how crap these expensive and highly spruiked pieces of junk are.
