Works if you pour onto the ants as any other direct contact insect poison but as a granule, It has zero lure effect on ants. They actually avoid it. I even mixed with honey and the ants just started avoiding the honey. Check videos attached.

Most useless ant sand out there. Does nothing! Ants love to walk over it with zero effect. What you are buying is a container of dirt. This company is selling a modern day "Snake Oil" product.

I have been using this product for years. I have been able to deter a 10cm thick army trail of ants by being persistant. Not using much at all. Just a very very light sprinkle. Using too much I found just creates a wall for them. Just a tiny amount and they still cross and redycing numbers. Replacing it everytime it rained or after a heavy dew. The army got weaker and over time. I know have none.

The plastic four pack – I recently bought the four pack to use inside. The ants are not interested in it at all and just walk past them. Seems it has no lure for them. No success at all.

Antex Insecticide Granules don't work – Doesn't work, used to years ago, would kill entire ant nest, now the ants just move it out of the way. Seems they are simply selling sand with no poison any more. As one bottle didn't work purchased another and still the ants live. Update: went to woolworths and discovered sand dated August 2022, over one year, they had some new stock, November… Read more

2023 so swapped and trying again. I could smell the poision with the new bottle but not the old one, so maybe the poision is lost or evaporates with time Ants died this time, but not all the nests. Out come will be to ensure current date of product when buying.

Dry weather only – Description says not affected by rain, well it was working just fine no ants to be seen. But then it rained, and the ants just walked straight over the top of it.

It works – Applied as directed over paving cracks where ant heaps were. No ants the next day. Been ant free for a month now. I'll definitely buy another 500g bottle in the future.

Please read instructions – This is dangerous to pets and the good insects we need to fight pest insects. Better to kill any nests that invade your house by using products with borax or better still to seal your house to prevent entry and clean up food scraps. Use a horticultural glue to control ants around trees with ants farming pests. Otherwise if you have no garden or… Read more

pets this is a good choice to use around the perimeter of the area you need to be free of pest ants. Eg ones that bite.

Eorks when fresh – Like a lot of products, you have to check the date of manufacture (DOM). Have recently (Aug21) used a full bottle dated Nov20 and it has done the job as expected. These are the sort of products you have to buy in person (no online shopping), just remember to check that date. Especially important with weed/pest treatments.

Ineffective and polluting – This is both an ineffective and polluting product. Ants are not bothered by it but apparently it's dangerous to wildlife and the surrounding environment. I want to just dispose of it, but even that will be an issue.

Failed result – Don't waste yout money, has no effect at all! Ants walk over it and around, .Followed directions and then observed what was happening. Don't know how this stuff ever is tested! Only rated to get access to comment.

NOW IT IS EXPENSIVE & USELESS – 4 or 5 years ago it was GREAT, 1 or 2 applications and the ant nest was gone. The current product is useless 8 to 10 applications & the ants are unaffected!!! There isn't a strong chemical odour any more, just a faint tinge and the granules now are a light brown colour instead of white!!! EXPENSIVE & USELESS

Waste of money – Yeah gonna have to give this one a big fat 0 star. It's sand in a container that the ants just crawl over and pick it up and take it

You Beauty – Well we had an issue with small black ants attacking our dog area and bins. After sprinkling this around forming a barrier line, the problem was solved in 10 minutes.

Useless product! – I live in the Perth hills area and we have a big problem with ants every summer. I often use the cheap ant powder from Bunnings and it works quite well. I decided to try the more expensive 'Antex' that has been advertised on TV a lot lately, and I have got to say that it is GARBAGE! Every nest that I covered in this 'ant sand' is still crawling… Read more

with ants a week later!

This product had absolutely NO affect on the ants whatsoever. I strongly recommend saving your money on this useless product, and instead just buy the cheaper ant powders. Would give zero stars if I could.

Another failure – Following the provided instructions I applied the product in the required areas. There was no noticeable effect on the ants & they continued their business regardless of the mound of Antex in front of them. Thus far 4 products of the like do not perform as claimed
