Denon AVR-2807

Denon AVR-2807 – I have found it an excellent receiver to play all of my DVD's and CD's. After the initial setting up of the 2807, and setting up the remote, control is easy. Plays just about everything I can throw at it, many ways to set it up in different modes, and still retains power in reserve. CD's sound great when using the Direct function, with great presence, and DVD's through 7 speakers truely envelop you. Has many inputs and outputs for various sourses.Can power just about any speaker, even power hungry 4 ohm speakers.Excellent remote with capacity to learn most other input devices.Sturdy build.Has multiple decoding formats for surround sound.Reproduction of CD's if excellent, especially through the 'direct source' mode.Has a good program to set up and tune the speaker system automatically. Initially takes a while to set up.Nothing else

Excellent – The connectability and performance is unmatched. Everything is as great as it boasts it is, for quite a small price; it is a worthy investment. It's ultra-precision at its best. The surround sound is loud, clear and definitive. It has 6 different settings for 6 listeners in different positions, all the sonics will blow you away. It is a great sounding machine which is also quite inexpensive when you think about its high-end performance. The reason behind my purchase was of the product's preceding reputation as one of the best and/or if not, the very best in surround sound receiver money could buy. The sound improved everytime I twicked it to another auto-setting or programme at the controls of the remote, which I found quite easy to use. To compare this with other makes I've possessed, this one's on par with excellence in the arena of brilliance and detail. I can't think of any at the moment.

Excellent – Awesome! Cannot really fault it at all! Needds to be set up with quality speakers to get the best out of it. Great product, Denon have excelled as usual. very simple set up procedures and plenty of grunt. Clarity is excellent as you would expect. Direct mode is even better. Plays DVD's, CD's, very well, combined with Orpheus Aurora 2's and the surround sound is excellent. Remote is a bit small - have large hands and found the functions hard to get my hanmds on! However this is only a minor gripe!
