I need replacement tips for my T-2200
SO many sellers on ebay selling them :)
Funny none of the reviewers said what Wattage the T 2000 is when a soldering stations performance and longevity is directly related to the elements wattage. Please tell me the wattage of the T 2000 and the T 1976 stations please.
The T 2000 is around 60 watts , I have had mine since about 1990 and have not replaced any parts . I still use this Soldering station in 2022 :-) I hope this info is helpful .

Mine is not heating up enough. Any ideas on how to adjust heat control? Been working fine for the past 25 to 30yrs.
Possibly any one or more wires in the soldering wond may have disconnected from timely use With power turnd off Carefully with out twisting the lead attached to the wand Unscrew the ferrule removing the insulation handel to expose the pc board that wire attaches and look for abnormality. The other fault location could be found in the main station,transformer,as being quiet heavy mounted in plastic somthing may have come a drift Hope that helps?

ebay. Try getting a spade tip or a spade with a diagonal tip rather than a conical, this soldering iron doesn't have a lot of power and it's hard to get enough surface area to come in contact. Always clean with a Goot ST-40 or similar, it'll extend the life of the tip.
Can I buy a new head and lead for my soldering station.
I'm assuming by heads you mean tips? Yes, but would you bother? If you had to replace both the tip and lead that's like $30-$40, and for $70 you can buy yourself a brand new chinese knock off unit that's still better than the T-2000 and gives you a range of better tips.
Thanks for your advice. I was talking about the whole hand piece and lead. The original is US. .would appreciate your advice on which China made unit to buy. Tks
