So easy and professional – Hiring was easy, pickup and return was easy and the explanation of the hire bond was clear, concise, efficient and professional. Definitely recommend these guys in hiring speaker equipment! JBL is a great brand! :)

Highly recommend! – I wanted to send my thanks to Slavco for his support this morning. We were late, then the rain and Slavco just kept smiling and responded to our move without complaint. We will be sure to recommend and use your services again.

Horrible! – If I could give them 0 stars I would- I hired a light and speakers set for NYE party AND paid. The following day I recieved an email stating that they had different prices for New Years, DOUBLE THE ORIGINAL COST! so like any sane person I said no I do not want to confirm as I was paying $340 for two speakers and some low quality lights. I was… Read more

told I would be refunded my money in seven days, 18 days later my money was STILL not in my account and after calling and emailing back and forth I'm now at a loss of $190 dollers because they are trying to tell me they refunded it when they did not, they infact refunded me, and then took the money out again in another transaction. I have contacted my bank and an ombudsman. I honestly wouldn't of cared if the money was returned that late but the fact the staff there are completely ignorant and oblivious to what's going on and it took more then double the time it should have to be refunded- you'd think they'd apologise and have a bit more respect for their customers, nope, not at all!

A complete waste of money and time!

Cancelled light booking a few days before party – I booked ultraviolet lights for a glow in the dark party I am throwing. I rang the company and was hastily directed to the booking page on the website. I found I had to pay at the time of booking. I paid for the hire but received no confirmation that the booking had gone through correctly so I called the company. I was assured I would receive a… Read more

confirmation email. I received 3 separate emails over the course of a few days- all was well. 3 minutes after receiving the final confirmation email today I got a short email stating that "due to unforseen circumstances we have cancelled your order, your payment will be voided". no explanation, and now I'm throwing a glow in the dark party with $200 of glow decorations without lights.

cancelled hire by email a few days before party

Poor Service, Poor Product Knowledge, Treats Customers Like they are a Burden – I've been to DJ warehouse for a number of times and every time I went, I had a bad experience. Their customer service is absolutely appalling. The sales staff are arrogant and treat potential customers like scum of the earth. I went in once considering the purchase of some Pioneer CDJ's (2000 Nexus) and I wanted to see how some of the features… Read more

worked - particularly link and sync features. Given that there was only one deck on display in the showroom, I requested if they could facilitate a demonstration with two decks. I do not think it is an unreasonable request to want to test the equipment and assess its key features first hand, given that I was willing to fork out $4.5K - with this kind of money, you would want a test drive at the very least. I was promptly told by the salesman that "I'm not going to take out a $2000 deck just so you can have a play". Problem was that I wasn't just going to "have a play" I was seriously considering making a purchase. My feeling was that the sales staff are not interested in providing you with service if they perceive you are not actually considering buying something and if you are too much of a burden. Yes, I am one of those pesky high-maintenance customers that actually wants to see the features of a product, ask questions about it, and test it first hand before I drop thousands of dollars on my purchase - go figure. The DJ warehouse staff are unashamedly Pioneer snobs. It seems that the staff don't know anything beyond Pioneer and don't really care to know anything. I once came in with the intention to actually purchase an Allen & Heath Mixer. I had a few questions about the mixer in question (Xone DB4) which the sales staff could not answer. Instead the sales staff tried to push me towards a Pioneer Nexus 900 with some blurb "this is what they are using in the clubs and this is the industry standard blah blah blah..." when I pressed the point that I actually want an A&H mixer and he couldn't answer my questions, the salesman actually told me to go to StoreDJ to inquire about A&H products. I was gobsmacked. I have never in my life been told by a salesman to go their direct competitor to inquire about a product they themselves stock. Ironically, this was probably the best advice I got from a salesman at DJ Warehouse. I did go to StoreDJ whose staff actually know their products, are happy to facilitate demos of key product features and actually treat you like a human being. I happily bought the XoneDB4 from StoreDJ and I will being doing business with them going forward (I just might see if they can hook me up with a couple of Pioneer CDJ 2000's too).

What about their DJ Warehouse hire department? Don't get me started. I hired some equipment (specifically, some wireless microphones) from them and that turned out to be faulty - really embarrassing when the sound cuts repeatedly mid sentence for an MC. When I complained about it, they didn't give me a refund, but offered a $50 discount on my next hire - why the hell would I want to hire dodgy unreliable equipment? Not happy.

Poor customer service. Poor product knowledge (if it is not Pioneer)
