rossi boots and redback boots have lasted 36 months ; i thought doc martins would at least last as long as similar boots in the market place ……… 10 months is nothing short of embarassing in respect to wear and to add salt to the wound , the retailer suggested i buy another pair as the current ones had worn out ……… i requested a refund of $100 from doc martin but have heard nothing except the email from doc telling me there is nothing wrong …… let me assure you , one fall was nasty ……… i am now wearing a pair of CAT BOOTS , which are extremely comfortable and have rubber soles ……… be assured , i expect some reply from doc , a refund of $100 , or doc can have them resoled in rubber at their cost

so if you wear the doc martin chelsea boots every day , according to doc martin , that constitutes " heavy daily wear " , and thus , expect the boot's sole to wear out in under a year i think that this fails the pub test for a boot
