how can I cancel this subscription that I just signed in a shopping mall today 14/11/25
If you log into your account and using the account name icon in the top right hand corner just left of the cart icon, a drop down box will appear. Click on the "My Details" label. Under the purple banner there is another menu. Select "My subscription". Then track down to almost the bottom of the page to the base of the "update my subscription" section, there is, in small lettering, a link "Pause or cancel subscription". Select and choose cancel.
Should this not work for you, try going to their contact page (link at bottom of page) and there you can either choose to call and talk direct, or fill in an online form.
Hope this helps. Cheers
Very Helpful-Thanks
As you sell tickets Australia wide does your draw aid RSLs throughout Australia . If not , why not .
I believe the answer is NO. The funds are directed to Queensland veterans ONLY.
Hi Samuel, Thanks for taking the time to reach out with your question. RSL Queensland supports and, in some instances, provides direct funding to other states to deliver services in support of veterans and their families. You can read more about our national programs and services here: external link
We are grateful for any support you can provide, as this will enable us to continue our aim to provide assistance to veterans and their families in need.
Regards, Dream Home Art Union

Why is it that the reviews on here from 10 months ago complain of only purchasing a one-off ticket, and ended up having several purchases for different draws weeks later, taken out of their bank account without any direct debit permission forms filled out, or authorised by voice? Your answer at 10 months ago was: That this was a general sales mistake, that had been rectified by your organisation and that people would only being able to sign up for subscriptions in person from now on, such as at shopping centres, so that they could physically sign the papers giving your organisation permission for direct debit (which you did not have previously). So why then, are there the exact same type of complaints at 9 months ago, after you had said that it had been rectified across the board 10 months ago? In one answer, you spun it to make it sound as though the customer had purchased tickets in more than 1 draw. That should not have made any difference, as the payment should have been processed at the initial time of purchase. Again, the customer did not give you any signed or recorded permission to direct debit any money from their account at a later date. This is not just a faux pas. But a serious and criminally negligent and possibly malicious modus operandi. To dip your fingers into a person’s bank account once they have made a singular transaction with you, is also proof that you are keeping their full Credit Card, Debit Card or PayPal details on your files, which is illegal. There is no need for your organisation to have anyones financial details on file in 2022. It is all done electronically and it is meant to be end to end encrypted. Unless of course, you’re signing up each and every ticket purchaser for your “charity” for a direct debit subscription without their consent. And even then, there are laws attached to that.
My questions are thus:
1) Are you using the legally required up to date and secure encryption software, supplied to you by your bank for your online business account for your online purchases and in any call centre offices? Or Are you using a simple database form that asks the customer for their account name/name on card and also asking the customer for their 3 digit access code on the back of their Credit/Debit card and performing a simple bank to bank transfer, like I can when I’d like to send my son or daughter some money. Except you’re doing it in reverse.
And if so:
3) How are you keeping personal banking information from Customers/Donators if the purchase was made with banking software supplied by your bank and processed as a one-off payment. Not an ongoing direct debit which would need a recorded with a scripted agreement to be read out and recorded, if by phone. While the customer agrees to those terms by answering YES, when you ask if they understand those terms, and YES when you ask if they agree to those terms. As you are now entering into a contract. Or to read and agree online to a EULA explaining that by ticking this box, you are agreeing to have our company direct debit your account for $xx.xx on these following dates, with final payment being $xx.xx ending on this date. You cannot just say: Ooops, our bad, we’ll fix that up for you. You have illegally entered their bank account and taken money without a legal agreement. Charity or not. That is stealing.
4) Why are you keeping personal banking information from one-off purchasers/transactions? Because you should not have them, the banks should. It’s encrypted for a reason. That’s why even at the grocery store, our receipts from the register and eftpos machine does NOT SHOW OUR FULL CARD DETAILS. I’ve managed retail stores. The last time that the store kept a copy of full card details was back in the 90’s, when the card reader went offline and we had to get out the clunky swipe machine that had 1 copy for the customer, 1 for the store to send to head office and 1 for the bank. But that is never ever done anymore. Even as a backup. Because it is far too dangerous for stores to have your full card details. That’s why the bank gives you an app or an add-on to your software suite that will make the transaction end to end encrypted. Even if you tick the subscription or recurring payment box and enter amounts and dates. Even if the customer enters their card details on your website. Even if the customer tells them to an operator over the phone, those numbers should never be seen in their entirety again by anyone in your company. Ever.
5) How are one-off purchasers being charged at a later date, even if they did agree to purchase in upcoming draws? I often enter charity draws online with Ozlotto. I add all charity draws, including sequential and/or future charity draws to my cart and bam. I pay for all. Of. Them. At. Once. As all purchases, including upcoming/future draws should be included on the same invoice with different draw numbers and dates, as one transaction. Legally, your bank keeps the details of that card. You should not be able to have access to it ever again, unless: Every single purchaser is purposefully being signed up illegally (misusing the banks software or using your own in-house database payment system) to a subscription direct debit agreement that they did not legally enter into.
I’m curious as to how you are still legally allowed to sell tickets. Even in the name of charity. We had to give receipts to every single person that was kind enough to donate for the Red Cross Door Knock. How are you keeping people’s card details and charging them illegally for products that they did not agree to weeks later? Please explain to me how this is an easy mistake to make by answering my questions. Although I’m a sceptic by nature, I’d really love to be proved wrong on this one.
Hi guys and gals @ RSLArt Union, Just wondering if you publish your financial outgoings towards supporting the war veterans with PTSD, and all expenditures the charity makes? And how VIP members could get access to that information? I am sure you agree that as a charity, transparency is as important as what you are supporting, and as such should be open to scrutiny and PROACTIVE in providing verifiable data regarding the financials of Where the money raised is GOING,& that the winnings advertised in your Lottos are truly won by RSLArt Union VIP members and that official procedure for the Lottos is followed and is observable and transparent so as to alleviate current and future contributors to this charity feel CONFIDENT about you, the charity and the lotto the charity provides through donating to the charity;RSLArt Union. That way you'll have the confidence of future potential contributors, which will not only benefit us, the donators, but also you, the charity, because I see by the many many reviews, way more slanted towards the prejudice that RSL Art Union is "shady" and/or deceitful and NONtransparent . Things that CAN be easily done by RSLArt Union and SHOULD be done in the name of transparency considering the amount of money we are speaking about here, subscriptions of $20,30,50 or $100 monthly, ongoing, indefinitely potentially adds up to thousands and thousands of dollars and, speaking as a current $50 VIP MEMBER for over 4years now, a majority of the people who participate in your charity are in the middle-to- low income bracket. If RSLArt Union didn't have the lotteries they run to generate the VIP members, I personally would not be contributing $50 per month for 4+ years, I definitely would have still contributed to the charity if you didn't run the lotteries, though it would have been UNDER $100 in total I would have contributed, not $50per month INDEFINITELY. I absolutely believe in supporting war veterans and PTSD, within reason and within personal budget restrictions and what would be considered reasonable to a reasonable person. So, in conclusion, DO you or CAN you make your Charity more TRANSPARENT to the public and specifically the VIP members, or financial contributors to your charity, RSLArt Union, paying attention to WHERE exactly the monies you collect for the veterans suffering with PTSD go?ie, specific projects or case by case basis. Also, Open, live, recorded and public evidence of the lotto's actually taking place, in real time, showing that all applicable legal procedures are being observed and followed. Also, subsequently showing evidence, without compromising the privacy of identifying information of the winners, of legitimacy of said lotteries drawn. This information is important in ANY charity and as such should be made available to the public and members. Surely this could only be of benefit to not only the VIPs peace of mind and ultimately, satisfaction who is contributing to your charity every month but LSO to you, the RSLArt Union charity itself in that it takes away any question about legitimacy and gives people a guarantee they are dealing with a well reputed organisation that supports a very valid and deserving charity - PTSD in war veterans. After reading the MANY reviews on product review.com.au I believe doing what I am suggesting will increase positive thoughts and therefore word-of-mouth, and that will ultimately result in more sales of tickets
I have been a member to RSL Art Union for several years now and have NEVER won a thing! Even down to the weekly$5000 VIP draw. Is this a scam or legit?
Has anyone tried their "Department Of Fair Trading", or whatever it is called in their State, to see if something can be done about these shysters?
I'm interested because I have just realised that I have been conned as well!
I only realised because it is the start of a new year and I haven't got as many transactions on my card yet.
Hoping someone had success
No. I'm still trying to work out if they are affiliated with the RSL or if it's a separate organisation altogether. There's more reviews here.

I think it's time this scam is stopped
They have to be reported to ACMA. I’ve sent via txt photos of their numbers. I’ve blocked them many times, they have different ways of getting through. I’ve had to cancel my voicemail, not only because of RSL but also because of robocalls & other intruders.
Hi I can relate to anyone’s frustration with RSL. The best way to get your money back is dispute any unauthorised transaction thru your bank first. Then cancel your bank card and request for a new card . I was lucky that I found out that they’ve been deducting more than what I signed up for, because I checked my bank transaction . I wanted to help the war veterans but instead RSL scammers tried to help themselves to whatever they could get Their greedy hands on... shame on them.
Hi everyone, Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your feedback regarding our sales team and take any concerns with our ticket selling process seriously. Please don't hesitate to send us an email to enquiries@rslartunion.com.au with your personal experience and we can investigate this further.
We apologise if you felt you were misled at the time of sale and will address this directly with the agent who processed your initial transaction and subscription agreement. Subscriptions are flexible and you are not locked in. In fact, you can change the value, skip a game, pause or cancel at any time by calling our customer centre on 1300 775 888.
Based on valued customer feedback regarding our direct sales teams and methods, we have reviewed and updated this process. Customers can now only purchase VIP membership via our direct service outlets (such as shopping centres). Customers are required to read the terms & conditions and tick a box and sign that they are aware this is a membership sign up, ie. they will be charged on a monthly basis (per draw). Customers also receive confirmation SMS and email pointing out this is a membership sign up, with clear directions on how to cancel it.
Thanks and regards, RSL Art Union
Your reply is [Content Removed]. You scammed my 77 year old wife just a few months ago when she bought one ticket. She told them twice she didn't want a subscription - just one ticket. I was in hospital for 6 weeks at the time. I discovered you have illegally been taking $30 out of our account every month since and you refuse to cancel or replay the illegal fraudulent withdrawals. You use the same apology for every complaint, of which there are hundreds, and have done so for 5 years. I have officially complained to Fair Trading and I intend to take it to a conclusion that I hope will close down your illegal activity.
