Hello, everyone who has had the misfortune of dealing with FES Group. They are now accepting Google reviews, and so I've posted one relating my terrible experience with [Name Removed] (who I believe is not "Strong" but the owner listed on ASIC documents [Name Removed]). So, everyone should post their truthful accounts of what happened with FES. Just Google them and then click onto the Google review link. Easy! They can't continue to hold people to ransom.
Thank you Ricardo for the heads up
Hi Ricardo, I believe FES has taken down your and Kals review off their google page
FES, on their website, claim that they have a 4.9% rating on Google reviews, however I can't see any reviews on Google reviews, are they falsely advertising on their website that they have good google reviews when they actually don't have any google reviews?
Correct David. They're fake. They also had all the reviews on this site that were posted under 'Flood Emergency Services' (most of them bad) removed (despite ProductReview.com.au claiming that they don't allow businesses to remove reviews). You have to wonder how long it will be before all these DryX reviews are removed as well.
Thanks Kal, so how do I post a google review on this company? any ideas?
Yep all fake They charge through the nose [content removed], the work done was good but [content removed] and tell you they are fully covered by insurance and you'll only have too pay for excess, we are now 8k out of pocket, just use whoever the insurance organises you will be thankful later
Do not use this company [content removed]
Has anyone thought of reporting them to “a current affair”, sometimes they take up the fight against these types of companies that rip off consumers and use false advertising
Same horror story with FES( Flood Emergency Services Group). The cost is over the top, communication is poor and sales representation is very misleading to take advantage of people who are in emergency. Watch out for the long and convoluted terms and conditions embedded in the email and read very carefully before answering Y!
Sorry for the slow reply David, but I don't think there is any way to post a Google review if the business is not listed on Google Maps. It would appear that they are quite worried about people posting about their experience online. Just yesterday I received a letter from FES's lawyers threatening a defamation lawsuit if I do not remove my review from this website, but I refuse to be intimidated or silenced by them.
Thanks for the update Kal, so if a business removes their business from google maps, then no users of google are able to post reviews about that business, that's interesting to know. Have you thought of writing the the consumer affairs program "A Current Affair", they sometimes take up these types of matters where companies are targeting consumers.
Well it might come to that David if they keep trying to intimidate us. We're certainly not going to just roll over and disappear like they want us to! Is it something you're considering doing?
Agreed.
A good friend of mine just got ripped off. I won't let it stand. They are simply disgraceful. I will do my best to hold them to account.
Has anyone tried writing reviews on their Google business page so other people can avoid being scammed? They state they are affordable on their website. Which is untrue and their reviews are not legitimate.
Other legitimate restoration businesses don't require you to sign a contract beforehand!!
Hey guys I’m in the same boat , dealing with FES, Still disputing their invoice, what is their cancellation for? that is over the top, did dispute it, part of T & C S they say , wow ! has anyone gone thru small claims court ? very fustrated indeed, to be continued,
I also find it incredible that a company like this can operate in Australia and seemingly get away with it. It's an indictment on our legal system and government agencies. I'm not aware of any class action yet, but it would be great to see one happen.
There isnt much we can do just keep complaining about them and writing these honest reviews and hope they go under
Hi Vince, we are currently dealing with [Name removed] and his standard business practice of overcharging then trying to steam roll people with lawsuits. Pretty telling of the business reputation when you keep changing names from FES, dry X, flood assist. They used to have a Google page with reviews which they have since taken down. Did Bill directly send his own people or sub-contract the work and slap his own charges on top?
long story short, FES bill was $14k, after 5 months of insurance and FES discussions and disputes, NRMA paid $6.6K, we were left with the rest, there had been discussions from FES, saying they would remove the cancellation fee of $3k, didnt happen, and we still got charged the full 5 days, even though we had their equipment for 3.5 days, they would not budge on the inaccuarcy of their invoice, they did offer a 7% discount (in the last week ) i have paid FES now,
yes T & C were there, but i did not read them as i worked away on a remote island, comms were terrible ! and when you are in this type of situation , working away, you hope that you can trust companies, and believe that their google reviews are accurate (not doctored) also, not lie to you, not to work the invoice for maximum dollar, how do people afford to pay these guys? i understand the service , and to be on call at any time, but their just greedy, and preying on people in dire circustances, what gets me , is how our insurance companies havent done anything about them ? they use there own teams who provide the same service , only way cheaper !!!!
So sorry to hear that Vince.
Has anyone tried dealing with invoice disputes through consumer affairs resolutions/arbitration or put in a ACCC report regarding their business practices?
Yes and yes. We, and two other victims of FES who contacted us via this website, have reported them to ACCC. The ACCC won’t help you with your individual case, but they may build a case against them if they get enough reports. So please, everyone who has been ripped off by this company, report it to the ACCC. I also went to Fair Trading but they were next to useless. They have no teeth at all. Incredible that a company like this can operate in our country and seemingly get away with it!
Hi I'm in the process of getting services from this group. Haven't got the bill as yet, but after reading the above reviews I'm expecting the worse. I will be reporting to ACCC, do you have a reference number? I would also like to be involved in a class action as this group need to be shutdown.
I haven't reported them to the ACCC yet, so will also quote a reference when reporting if anyone has one.
I've now lodged formal complaints with both fair trading and ACCC and have spoken at length with their staff and won't stop until some action is officially taken. This is utterly ridiculous that this company can continue to trade.
I've gone through with FES Last on a leak, same issues encountered with most people on this section.

Member 'Stay Away', I see you wrote another review a few days before this one, but it now just says 'Archived Listing'. Was this for Flood Emergency Services (FES)? I was sure FES used to be on this site, but now I can't find them. We also contacted DryX ([Name Removed]) but they appear to just be a trading name for Flood Emergency Services. Our invoice was even worse than yours: $21,042.23 for drying one room!!!
Hi Kal, did you dispute the high charges further?
Hi Nick. Long, long story. I’ll send you a PM.
Yep sounds about right They are rip off [Content Removed]
