Great Iron – I have had this beautiful gadget since 2009 and has never let me down. The cabling is thick and well insulated so there is no worry of getting zapped. Its a Great iron takes a while to heat up but gets the job done very well after. Highly recommended for beginners too. Cheap, easy to use, gets the job done Takes a while to heat up.

Budget-priced tool for the hobbyist or aspiring technician – I bought mine (Cat. No. T2304) in February 2007, and it has never missed a beat. Takes a while to heat up, but once it's ready, the soldering is a breeze! It is cheaper to buy a new iron, rather than replace the tip on this one, as the one I have is now obsolete, tips are impossible to get for it. Nevertheless, during its lifetime, the iron works fine for me - simple, effective, and efficient. It gets the repair job done! Dry solder joints on PCBs are a thing of the past with this little inexpensive tool, and component replacement/fitting is easy. A must for every handyperson's box. I've had mine 4 years, so it is money well spent. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a new one later if I need to. They don't just come in 25W range, there are 40 and 60W models available. DSE sells these aplenty, so replacing it is not a problem if need be. Inexpensive (less than $20 new) too.

Bad – Great little iron for small jobs you do have to wait a few minutes for it to heat up. The tips are changeable but don't bother getting the larger heads as there just isn't enough power to heat them and get the job done. Look at a larger iron for the big jobs and then you may even want to get a small welder depending on what type of metals your are joining.

Overall great little hobby iron for a fair price. small easy to use, changable tip no good for big jobs (well it is only 25Wwatts) long wait for heating up

Excellent – It's an excellent soldering iron especially for home-based service or on-site repairs. It's light,I t's safe, it's inexpensive, and it works well. Great for light electronic work. It has a mini stand.
