Duck River Butter Soft
1 review
I recently purchased Duck River butter 500 gram spreadable at Coles Supermarket on the 31st of January 2026 for $6.85 on return to Coles supermarket five days later on the 5th of February 2026a paid $8 for the same product. no wonder there is inflation and it's coming from the major supermarkets we were unfortunate in Tasmania that we don't have a lot of competition that I did notice that igi are selling it for $9-25 you have to wonder is the actual factory producing this product getting paid more for their product with this rise or who is actually making the money. I would appreciate other shoppers of Tasmania commenting on this how do you feel about paying that absorbent price for butter.
Follow-up · The butter was very fresh in the past this butter was made at the Duck River factory Smithton but now it's made by Fonterra at Spreyton Tasmania . I don't but this very often as it is too expensive pricing itself out of the market at $8 500grams. The packaging has not changed in years. We live in Tasmania this is produced in Tasmania yet it's beyond people's budget.
