Dymo LabelWriter 400 Turbo

OK Printer. No Support – This printer has swerved my well since 2010. However, I am very disappointed in Dymo in almost all areas. But, I have a working printer that I can no longer use because they are not making drivers. Dymo has a history of abandoning consumers. They did the same thing with stamps. I have six other Dymo printers in our facility. I will never buy another Dymo product again.
Unreliable Junk – Never worked properly from day one. Intermittent fault where the print job would be recieved but nothing would print. 10 minutes in the freezer and it would work for 10min then stop. Poor roll handling when it did work. Chewed up labels, skipped labels randomly. Mac driver always applies a margin, so cannot print small labels on a Mac. Nothing but heartache from this junk.
Labels are really really expensive !
Intermittant fault, would not print randomly
absolute [censored word removed] – this printer has never been reliable - i have wasted so many labels trying to get it to work correctly when changing labels it just gets jammed and wont print - i have thrown it in the bin, labels are too expensive when the machine chews them up it's highly not recommended unreliable
Good – Hello everyone. I have a very different review than the above! We use the Dymo LabelWriter 400 Turbo at work and it is just fantastic! It is so fast and the ink never smudges (unlike when you use a word processor to create labels and then print them onto label stickers yourself). I just type the required address and print! It's that easy. It defaults to the usual address label font that we use for our company but you can also change the font or size of the lettering. I think it also has a function so that you can add some kind of picture of whatever to the label but I'm not 100% sure about this. Overall, I would highly recommend this product and I give it a 9/10 for sure! prints very fast! Is a bit bulky & ugly (grey in colour)
Bad – We use these Dymo labellers at work and there have been both ups and downs with them. One was working fine for a few months but then started feeding about ten sticker labels through before actually printing the label. After a while of this, it began to just feed the sticker labels through and wouldn't print at all. With another labeller the sticker labels kept getting jammed when being fed through. With our current labeller it actually has been working fine for some time now. When the labeller works, the labels are clear and the ink doesn't rub off when it gets wet. They adhere to almost any surface and are not easy to peel off once stuck. So...mixed opinions about this product. Small and compact, easy to install, easy to use interface. Sticker labels are expensive compared to other label writers available on the market.
