Absolute rubbish – Battery life is poor, didn't print properly, stopped working after 2 months with practically no use.Just lucky I only paid $20 from officeworks. Brother P touch is much better, just remember to set margin to narrow so it doesn't waste so much tape.

Totally frustrating experinece – I purchased a Dymo Letratag from Officeworks last year as a present for my wife. After making a single print, the labelmaker says batteries low and need to be recharged - which we do - every time! Notwithstanding, the plastic labels (which we print on Dymo-supplied cartridges) rarely work properly. They mostly come out in unrecognisable faint… Read more

blotchy print which is unusable. I am thoroughly frustrated and have no idea why anyone would use this product.

Dtmo lettra tag- fantastic – Using in a nursing home; iron on labels work really on our residents clothes, we use the paper & plastic labels round the nursing home for all sorts , fantastic , highly recommend, we bought a second one for the kitchen. In 3rd year of lots of use

I’ve never had one that has lasted more than 2 months – These break after two months or less, the last one after one day of use. The tape refills jam constantly and you end up throwing out half of the tape. The iron on Clothing labels don’t work at all. As soon as you put them through the first wash, if they don’t come off completely, they start to peel off. I have wasted so much money on this product, I will never buy any Dymo product again. So disappointing.

DON’T BUY, ABSOLUTE RUBBISH – Labels absolute waste of money. I don’t write reviews, but felt so disgusted with the labels, I felt I had to say something so other people aren’t suckered in to labelling their clothes. Am sick of the labels in the washing machine. Of the 129 labels attached, 13 are remaining after 1 wash.

Absolute Rubbish! – The worst $39 I ever spent. I have a brother PT-H105 that cost me $25 and it is a thousand times better. I use the labels mainly on my infant's bottles and find that the dymo labels peel within a week (I do sterilise the bottles) where as the brother labels have lasted at least a year when applied correctly. Don't waste your money on a letratag! By the $25 brother model and you won't be disappointed!

perfect – Picked this little beauty up at officeworks today for just under $20. Came with refill and is so easy to use! Definitely a life saver labeling kids pens pencils and textas

I love this product! Very simple to use – This product is simple and easy to use. The 'screen' might not be super fancy for tech orientated people but I just need to label my teaching equipment and my children's school belongings. It's fantastic. Labels last a LONG time and are still looking good as new 1 year on.

Okay but poor user interface and innefficient – Performs okay. But every time a label is printed, 10 mm either side of the text is left blank. This means paper is wasted, and Dymo makes more money as customers buy more of their expensive refills. Good that it turns off automatically when not in use to save power. Also, I'd much prefer a QWERTY keyboard layout, since this one is slow.

Good Machine, terrible labels – This machine is great, with plenty of functionality, however the labels don't stay on ANYTHING. I've labelled all my Tupperware, and the labels come off in the dishwasher after 2 washes maximum. The iron-on labels are even more horrendous, not even lasting 1 wash. After spending 2 hours labelling my child's clothing for daycare, we then had… Read more

labels falling off in the washing machine, dryer and even while he was wearing the clothes. Re-applying them doesn't work either, they just fall right back off again. I don't really understand the use of this product, do they expect us not to wash our clothes after we've labelled them?!

Such a shame, as the actual machine is easy to use and works well, but completely useless without a label product that actually works. I've since purchased labels online after reading reviews on which ones actually stayed on, and have absolutely no use for this machine anymore.

Not a bad 'home' label maker – I've owned the Dymo label maker since 2011 and it's been hard at work labelling everything from storage boxes to refilled jars in the kitchen. The Dymo unit can take a variety of labels that are available at K Mart, Big W and other stores, these labels are available in different colours, materials and even a iron on variant for clothing -… Read more ·  3

perfect for kids school cloths or even employee clothing that is washed at work - nice not to wear someone else's shirts and shorts!

The unit is a well designed compact machine, the letter pad allows you to glide through the alphabet and change styles and functions, you can even store some of the most produced labels eg: Names or numbers - this is really handy! With the change of the tapes size you can do some pretty neat styles suited for kids and mature age people alike. The labels stick to most things and are pretty good quality - just keep in mind that labels that are going to be exposed to the Sun's UV will dry and crack / craze and these labels that have done this are near impossible to remove from a painted or fragile surface!

My only gripe with the unit is that the end's of the labels after printing are wasted with a whole centimetre left at the start and end of the labels pushed out after printing which I usually cut off - if you are careful you can push the label backwards into the label cartridge and cut it (with the button) to save yourself some label for next time - it certainly helps cost wise.

I keep the label maker separate from the label cartridges and isolate the batteries in the label maker as it seems to drain the batteries over a prolonged period of disuse - not sure if it keeps the time or statistics of use? I also clean the printing head as it may get dusty and this is always a good thing to do to avoid any dust on the head to avoid any printing faults.

I use good quality batteries like Duracell or Energizer and in the Lithium's when I have lots of labels to make, and these batteries seem to keep the unit performing for quiet a long time as its a thermal printer onto the labels.

No issues within the time of ownership so far - just keep it clean and free of dust and looked after and it'll last. I don't think that this unit would be good enough for a business - as the lid is quiet flimsy and could be broken by careless individuals. Portable, hand held, good list of available text formats and styles. Huge range of Dymo labels from a multitude of retailers. Eventually came out in black which I wish I got...
