Love our EKO, with the 2 separate bins, rubbish and recycling, looks good, love that no fingermarks, quiet close and holds a good amount for both. Highly recommend this product.

I miss my bin – Bought this bin in 2014. Reliable sturdy and the only difficulty I had was getting the batteries out when they needed replacing. The batteries are placed into a sort of battery pack before being inserted into the bin. The pack seems to be a very snug fit for the batteries so if anyone has a trick to getting them out please let me know. I bought a… Read more

cheap replacement sensor bin($30 from big w) after my partner recently broke the lid. The new bin works 90% of the time and I have yet to see the lid open all the way. The only time I experienced this with the Eko was when the batteries needed replacing. Moving house soon so am holding out buying a new Eko until after the move but am definitely missing my old bin.

Great bin – Purchased Eko Bravia 30l bin. Can't be happier. This bin has an inner bin for garbage bag which makes it nice and easy when taking trash out. The sensor works well and has an option to keep the lid open if needed. Easy to clean. The rubber at the bottom prevents any unwanted movement. Has a compartment for bin freshener.

Slimline shape and works well – The 30L bin takes standard size bags and the sensor function handles rubbish disposal very efficiently. The inner liner is completely concealed when the bin is closed and any smells are well contained. The sensor function means you don't have to touch the bin with wet/dirty hands, so hopefully the stainless steel outer shell will remain looking… Read more

good - time well tell. The stylish, slim design takes up very little space and rubber feet stop the bin from moving around on the floor. So far, we are very happy with our Eko bin.

Would never buy from Eko again – We bought the 46L recycling step bin stainless for the kitchen to only have it start to rust within only a few months of use. We never complain but for an expensive supposed premium item we had little choice and should be covered under warranty. The bin itself was fine for what it does but when we went back to store they were helpful but they… Read more

spoke with Eko who said it isn’t possible and it is user fault (water contact) which was not the case and weren’t going to do anything to fix or replace. Thankfully we had an amazing store who offered a refund or return off their own back. We ended up with a refund and bin has gotten worse as time has gone by and will eventually get replaced. Very poor customer service from Eko and we have other premium brand bins (simple human and brabantia) in wet areas and high moisture content for years without any rust issues at all. It may have been a one off fault with the bin or it’s just poorly produced for an expensive item. We will never know as they were so dismissive. Needless to say the store has continued to receive our business constantly and we will never get an Eko bin again and advising others to avoid the brand.

Useful and works well – The bin is a standard kitchen size and takes widely-available bin bags. The sensor function works well as long as you get reasonably close to the bin. The lid stays open for 5 seconds then closes. You don't have to use the sensor - you can press the 'open' and 'close' pads, which case the lids stays open until you press 'close'. You can also… Read more

manually operate the lid. Of course you have to replace the batteries every so often but they seem to last for a good length of time.

Inside the bin is a second container - that's where the liner goes. You can't see any liner from the outside when the bin is closed.

What I like is the automatic closing keeps garbage smells to a minimum. The beauty of automatic opening and closing that you can empty a cutting board of scraps using a knife as a scraper without having to manually open the bin first. Pass the cutting board over the bin, empty/scrape, and walk away.
