They are falling apart in no time and the warranty do not cover anything – I strongly advise against this brand. I have been wearing safety shoes for the last 15 years and decided to pick some upper market on this time and find the elten one, supposedly high quality and exceptional durability... indeed exceptional, only couple of months of life I decided to contact the warranty services as it claims 1 year warranty… Read more

on, they products. This was they answers to my shoes falling apart and stitch failing .

", the warranty claim has been refused. The supplier believes that the damage has been caused by wear and tear / force from the outside."

So dear supplier, i am working in those shoes as a site manager and my duty is mainly to organise the work of other. As such i am far to give them such hard life. My safety shoes last me well over 2 years usually. those 2 times the price last barley 2 months. while at it I should as well mention the 3 weeks delay between the claim and the answer to that claim and having to contact few time the services to get a proper answer.

Quality work boots, no hesitation to recommend – It has been a pleasure dealing with Stitchkraft/Elten. The order arrived within 2 days (Swan Hill, Country VIC) and size wise the boots are a great fit. I always had work boots from lowa and other eurpean brands that might have helped with "true-to-size" conversion. The boots are super comfy! I have not had them on out in the weather as yet but… Read more

will post again if any issues with waterproof membrane. I left a few images, the inner shoe is padded on every corner, I gues that makes them comfortable! Well done boys & girls!

best boots I have ever owned – I can not over state how good these boots are. I am a stone mason. it's strange but for something I love I give these boots serious abuse. between kicking dragging and pushing stones around getting them covered in cement and working in sometimes wet mucky conditions. Money well spent, they owe me nothing! in short "great boots!"

OVerall a 5 Star boot for me – Jim here. My first Elten boots, and not a bad choice so far. They arrived last week when I was off, I've worn them across my 4 x 12hr nights. Initial impressions are they are highly fit for purpose, very comfy in the sole for standing around and excellent ankle support - far more than any leather/construction boot I had in the past. The upper… Read more

synthetic is pretty tough, but the scuff cap is definitely a must have if you are on your knees a lot or (like myself...) kick stuff around at times... Also I found they are very good on ladders and stairs, sole has good grip. The only problem I've had was that the sole gripped the pedals in the car more than I'm used to. I better get used to it.

Great product worth the $$$ – Fantastic value for money! They seem indestructible. I am a carpenter specialising in timber frame buildings, my footwear is tested to extremes, everyday! They were VERY comfortable from day one, it is actually the second pair that replaced the Renzo's I have owned before. My highest recommendation for these boots, durable, waterproof, yet breathable.

Wanted to like these boots – Great looking and very well built you can see the quality. My problem is they hurt my feet bad normally wear orthotics still hurt tryed with out still bad just no cushion plus I can’t get my heel to lock into boot moves around no matter what I do. Sorry just not worth buying my old Redbacks much better Trevor

Issues with durability of first pair but can't fault customer service – I purchased these workboots because my husband needed a lightweight, comfortable workboot with a protective cap toe, that was suitable for walking on a variety of surfaces including soft sand. The boots were pricey at $244, so I expected them to live up to what the advertising claimed about them. I also chose them because they were designed… Read more

and made in Germany rather than China.

The sizing was accurate and the fit was comfortable compared to other regular work boots he's had. They were also very lightweight compared to other steel caps he's owned. However after about ten weeks of wear, the heel area of one of the boots tore away at the stitching, leaving the heel protected by just a thin bit of material. My husband kept wearing them until they wore through completely at the heel - this happened after less than 6 months of use.

I raised the issue of the durability of the boots with the supplier (Stitchkraft) via email. I was genuinely surprised when Carmen from Stitchkraft got back to me promptly. She was polite and helpful and followed through my complaint, emailing the German manufacturer on my behalf. In the end we were sent a replacement pair of boots free of charge.

If your need a lightweight boot with a protective toe, Elten composite boots may be worth considering. They are certainly worth considering in terms of the customer service you are likely to receive from StitchKraft if you have problems.

Because of the early life failure of one of these boots I have given them only four stars. However I plan to modify the rating at a later stage if the replacement pair outlast the first pair.
