EMU Australia Beach Mini Sheepskin Boot

TVSN 'EMU brand' Sheepskin boots – Beware of these sheepskin boots which look great in the ad. There was a stench of fumes - possibly toxic tanning chemicals like formaldehyde - when opening the packaging. The odour filled the family area until the boots were re packaged that night and returned by post the following morning. While claiming to be MERINO - The thick wool interior part was the dryest, wiry type of sheeps' wool which is often used for carpet - Not clothes. (see photo). It was NOT MERINO WOOL and there was no need to advertise it as such. The suede outside of the boots arrived with scuff marks (see photos). The zip looked good and the stitching. Over the phone today, TVSN claimed their refund was returned yesterday via Paypal. Typically all transactions with Paypal are recorded on their website straight away, a confirmation email sent, and the funds appear in one's bank account up to a few days later. However, no transaction has been recorded with Paypal yet which is unusual, and as anticipated, nothing in the bank account at this stage. The powerful stench took the following day to settle down. I trust the refund will turn up in time.
