Enduraseal 12mm tap valve – Bought this product from Bunnings and fitted to hot and cold taps in ensuite. Within 10 days they both disintegrated! Came home and found hot water running and had been like that at least 8 hours. Worst product I've ever bought and recommend not to use!
worst washer i have ever used – set up in BOTH hot and cold bath taps ,,, lasted 1 bath in hot tap ,,, just fell apart ,,, have not got around to change cold tap yet ,,, am waiting to get more washers Show details
Should Be Banned Altogether! – Installed these jumper valves on the cold and hot water taps in bathroom vanity. The green rubber on both valves disintegrated instantaneously even as I gently tightened them after installation. It was a nightmare trying to remove the rubber fragments from the tap housings. This brand of jumper tap valve is the worst one I have come across in over 50 years of my plumbing experience. Show details
Danger. May cause Scalding – At first this new washer seemed to work well, however there is a fault with this product that reveals itself after some time. The green washer material compresses and starts to crumble away in the Hot Water tap. The result of this disintegration is that the valve jams open with the hot water flowing, and is impossible to turn off. This has… Read more
happened 2 times now with these particular washers, luckily while adults were having a shower and were able to remove themselves from the shower cubicle fast enough. Should it have been a child in the shower at the time the outcome could have been disastrous. These washers should be removed from sale, as there is a definite potential for harm and injuries to occur from the break down of this product. **Danger** Do not buy this product.
A Dangerous Product – These washers can split when used in the HOT TAP and prevent it from being turned OFF resulting in being severely burnt if showering. They are not a reliable product. Show details
Rubbish don't bother – Just put these in and now have hammer and noise. I have to start the process over again. Don't bother with this rubbish brand of washers I suggest find something else Show details
Washers fell apart when not in use for 4 years – I replaced 8 tap valves 4 years ago with EnduraSeal "Premium Grade Long-lasting Tap Valves" 12 mm brass with green plastic washers. The house was vacant for 4 years, fortunately with mains water tap off. When water turned on, some taps started to leak. Removed valves and ALL the green plastic washers were in pieces. Tap mesh filters blocked with… Read more
green soft plastic pieces. Other brand of washers were OK. Sorry, I did not take pictures. Tap water is a mixture of ground and river water treated by the Council. Strongly recommend do not buy these washers
Really bad, don't buy – I installed 8 of these, and they all had the same issue; crazy water hammer when opening the tap, the shower was unusable. Replaced all with Hydroseal haven't looked back. Show details
Created more problems than solved – Flawed - Changed valves on hot and cold to EnduraSeal and ended up with water hammer vibrations when either tap was opened. Problem was fixed by reverting to regular (cheaper) valves. They look very robust but don't do the job. Surprised that Bunnings are still selling them. Show details
Green nylon washer pad disintegrated within a short period. Don't buy this unless you want the WORST jumper Tap Valve – I have used all types of tap washers in my past 45+ adult years. This EnduraSeal washer is the WORST washer so far. Fixed the leaks while new but the green nylon material cracked, leaked and disintegrated within a few months. Worst record was within two days. Good luck if you still want to try Show details
Not Long-Lasting as Advertised, 2 years maximum – I was very pleased after installing them in my hot and cold taps. It fixed my dripping taps straight away. I found them also very easy to tighten , but wasn't expecting to replace the valves so soon. The hot tap started dripping after the valve became stuck. The green nylon part of the valve became squashed and deformed from the heat and… Read more
separated from the body of the valve sticking to the rear of the tap. On my cold tap the green nylon just detached from the body of the valve. I was unable to tighten the tap. EnduaSeal is okay but must be replaced every 2 years.
very bad hammer noise in pipe work – I have been frustrated with these washers for a couple of years, I thought the design may have been a winner. most situations I tried them in created pipe hammer noise. I have been using different washers in most of my rental properties. My bathroom cold tap was getting too hard for the young grand kids to turn off so I thought I would give the… Read more
Enduraseal washer a try only to have very bad hammer noise. I have not complained to Bunnings yet but will do so soon.
Design flaw causing squealing and other noises – They seal great. And seem to be a tough product for long life. But it seems the design is flawed causing very nasty noises including squealing and heavy hammer. I had a Bunning's plumber tell me the problem was: 1. My plumbing was old. 2. Water pressure was too high. 3. I installed them incorrectly. (I was told I needed to wrap plumbing tape… Read more
around the spindle to stop the noise.)
Video 1 shows the horrible noise these made even installed as the plumber suggested. https://youtu.be/vBd8xjSskTo Video 2 shows same tap, no noise and no special install but using stock tap washers. https://youtu.be/bTh79bE4LGA While it is clear that I presented 1 example of the noise. I had 10 taps with these installed as per the plumbers advice and ALL made terrible noises. The noise was gone once the EnduraSeal tap Washers were replaced with standard Tap Washers.
