When batteries leak, that's a concern. If they are old, understandable. The battery I'm referring to is dated 12/2030 I've contacted Energizer and they offered $7.98 saying it was the going rate. I can't buy a new 4 pack for under $8.25 I have to accept their terms or nothing!

Expiry Date Cannot Be Trusted – I purchased a pack of four Energizer Max 9V batteries with the intention of using them for my fire alarms. I used one battery and kept the remaining three in the package. The batteries are advertised to have a five-year shelf life, and with an expiration date of December 2026, I was confident I could rely on them when needed. However, when I tried… Read more

to use them six months ago, all of them were already dead. I’ve attached photos of the three batteries that were never used.

Dollar store batteries are better – I purchased a 36 pack of Energizer Max for my emergency preparedness devices like flashlights and radio, walkie talkies, etc. When I finished I had 2 batteries left over I put them in my battery storage case which has a battery tester in it. I tested the two energizer batteries and to my disappointment they tested just above the low battery level.… Read more

I normally fill that case with dollar store batteries because the kids use them up like skittles for their game controllers and whatever. I tested a few of the dollar store batteries and they all had more power than the energizer max. That puts my mind at rest in case of an emergency. It's good to know I would be better off to buy cheap batteries.

Terrible battery do not purchase – Energizer Max plus AA batteries less than 6 months old leaked and ruined expensive Kyoritsu Insulation- Continuity tester. Do not buy these batteries. Unfortunately I have not kept my receipt.

Rechargeable or contains Recycled material !?! – I find the green recycled materials symbol on the insert of the packaging misleading as it is too similar to the rechargeable symbol found on most major brands. My child was 100% tricked by it as he is only allowed to buy the rechargeable batteries. Thank God he did not try to put them in the charger before I noticed the symbol was not for… Read more

rechargeable but only a recycled material information symbol. The writing is too small for normal reading as well. Is this a marketing ploy ? If so it is a dangerous one in my opinion.

Leaked in device, made a mess – Put 2 Energizer Max AA cells in my TV remote control. Date on batteries was 2029. After 2 months remote stopped working. Took back off and one battery leaked all over, ruining the device. Contacted Energizer for replacement and sent them pictures. For them to consider replacing the device they want 8 more pictures. I'll never buy another Energizer battery and will tell all my friends about this incident.

terrible battery – very bad battery , lasted for 3 days. very expensive to last only 3 days.

AA Energizer Max – They market these batteries as being the leak free choice and that it protects your device. That is the exact weak point of this brand. We have a ruined weather station, and now I just was going to replace the batteries in the phone and those started leaking. So besides short life they will ruin your device and the company will ask for 5 different… Read more

pictures of each battery so in my case it would have been 30 pictures of just the batteries, nevermind the devices - model and purchase date and list goes on. Who records when you change batteries in your phone or weather station...not me. You would have to have OCD to have all the information required to satisfy this company to get compensation. For what it costs $150-200 to replace the two items it wasn't worth it, so consider yourself warned. These Energizer Max batteries leak. The lady I talked on the phone with, was very nice and I thought this going good - she took down all the information but when I got the email it would have been a mornings work to fill that out. Simpler to write a review to warn others.

make a complaint and your asked for so many photo's – replaced AA batteries in my oxygen conserver, unit still not working, checked new batteries one just out of package 0.3 volts, sent details to Energizer place of manufacture BB date etc, received quick reply wanting photo's of pack/all batteries/receipt/BB date/ product date in all 8 photo's.Only wanted to point out QA failure, if this had occurred in remote area I would have had difficulties.

Leaked and destroyed my device in under 12 months – Advertised as having a shelf life of 10 years. Installed in an emergency torch and chose. Due to the life. Batteries have leaked and destroyed the device. They didn't last 12 months let alone 10 years.

They are too big – I bought a value pack of 10 X AA Energizer Max and the batteries are slightly too big for the devices they are supposed to power and have to be pried out risking damage to said devices. Total waste of money as they are unusable.

Max models claim warranty against leaking= Untrue – Max models claim warranty against leaking= Untrue. We had acid leak and they refuse to replace product by asking for more, and more and endlessly more. Do not believe anything they say in reference to guarantee!

Rubbish batteries? – I've had a watering system with 4 controllers using a pair of batteries for some years. These use Alkaline batteries presumably to cope with the high current draw to operate the valves. For years Energiser batteries had a life measured in months, generally up to 12 months. However the latest [and I'm talking maybe 12 months or more] are not able… Read more

to operate the systems after about 8 days, voltage drop open circuit from 1.6 v to around 0.9 v in that time. Batch 0119 bought in a 16 pack from a local supermarket. just put the last of the 16 into replace the aforementioned pair, and I'm monitoring the 3 pairs of two still running [I hope] the system. I complained months ago and had the price refunded for that batch, and I've complained yet again about the current batch, so watch for developments....

Expensive garbage – Popped these into my toothbrush device, found it was only at half strength. So I’ve researched and found that If you can afford quality rechargeable batteries do that, bonus for the environment. These are absolutely not worth what I paid for them.

Scam – I am writing to let people know that the Energizer Easter Egg Hunt was a scam. The redemption codes that they sent out to be redeemed on Google play did not work. When I tried to contact the company, they did not respond. I suspect they did not care.

Energizer - a company without leaky batteries – So I have been having some major issues with Duracell, especially their Ultra's! I've been using the Energizer Max range for the last few years without any form of issue or leak unlike Duracell's batteries. I find that they Max gives me as much performance from their batteries without any form of leak or poor performance in any of my devices - I… Read more

use these sporadically in my torches (many), radio's, headlamps, handheld GPS or other digital devices without a worry.

I know I will be buying more of the Energiser batteries from now on - they just seem to be a better quality battery and without the stress of expecting them to leak! Good price, quality, do not have the tenancy to leak like other brands.

Excellent – I've been buying Energizer batteries for about 10 years now and have always found them long lasting in whatever I use them in; remotes, wireless keyboard, toys, mp3, clocks etc. Long lasting, non leaking batteries that come in a wide range of sizes. Like most batteries, they're quite expensive, but at least they're worth it.

Excellent – As its name depicts, Energizer max truly gives maximum energy to battery-operated products. I’ve been using this for years, and I’ve proven to myself that this brand of alkaline AA battery in fact outlasts the others. Lost-lasting service price is higher than other brands, but it means SAVINGS in the long run
