Non Existent Customer Service – This unit was just what I was looking for. Very nicely designed and looks-as-though it came from the BMW factory. ( I had this unit installed by a professional). The radio receiver sucks! The installer tired everything form boosters to different cables nothing worked and the local radio stations barely come in. After about six months of use I started getting error message on the GPS stating software not found. I have tired everything to no avail. I have called the number on the eonon website never getting an answer no matter what time I call. I have emailed them several times no one ever calls or emails back. I feel the quality of this unit is very cheaply made. It is too bad that the quality is not there I would have paid more $ for a better made unit. Not a lot of choices out there. I highly recommend that you do not buy this unit!!! The fit and look in the car. Very cheaply made and No customer service!
Not all its cracked up to be – Found this on Ebay (not branded by Eonon nor was the package branded). There isn't a lot of reviews and support for this online so I thought I'd put in my 2 pence. The Unit was easy to install myself and has some great features. The bluetooth function for the phone worked well for calls although didn't grab my contacts list. The GPS set up was straight forward and works very well & the CD & DVD playback is good. The problems you will find is that your date/time, radio station presets & sound preferences won't save and you will have to set these every time you turn on the stereo. Also if you use a micro SD card the stereo will skip through mid way through a track. The DVD playback is turned off while driving which I can understand for safety but would be nice to have an option to keep it on by default for passengers enjoyment. If you're going to use this for CD/DVD playback and GPS then a good buy (although a little on the expensive side) but for all the other features I would recommend to avoid this unit and seek professional advice & fitting. Good range of features. Build in GPS. CD/DVD playback and mobile bluetooth support. Unable to save radio & sound presets. Doesn't play music from SD card properly and can be tempremental. Not a fluid switch between funcions and some functions can be interupted moving through the menu.
There should be a wire from the unit that connects to a full time live source so it can keep the radio settings??
