EV Switch Charger
1 review
Bought EV Switch 7kW EV charger for $699 in May 2025 after being recommended to buy one by BYD along with my BYD Sea Lion 7. After 6 months of normal residential use, it stopped working out of the blue and a red light displayed on the charger. I got 'Error Code 15' displaying on the app. I contacted the support email and after a couple of weeks… Read more
they finally sent a reply email saying they said they would try and remote in to fix it. It continued to malfunction. I asked for it to be repaired, replaced or refunded and they claimed it was out of warranty (even though their installation guide states the product has a one year warranty). They said they would call me and never did. They have no contact number to call them on. Im now stuck with a piece of poor quality plastic to the side of my house and out of pocket for the cost of the charger and the electrician I paid to properly install it.
Im pretty sure that everyday people would expect that a product like this would be durable to last longer than 6 months, and that a company should honour the warranty they promote in their materials.
If I was you I would steer clear of this mob. My experience is that the charger is not fit for purpose and in my view the company is not complying with Australian Consumer Law by refusing to repair or replace after just 6 months.
Im very surprised that BYD has a relationship with such a poor quality company.
