The Evans are predatory – Please don’t use Evans! My experience was awful! The owner ripped me off. I paid Inadvertently $2500 for my old bag instead of $250, and she took it. The bag had sentimental value only., my diseased Mother. And she refused to get refund even though the workmanship of the bag was so bad that it fall apart at the seams. The bag is Unusable. I have a brain cancer and a stroke and have difficulty to do the numbers. I look at Evans profile and I can fathom how she could come up with $2500. The woman used me Comprehensively.

Favourite shoes like new - worth the expense – When I couldn't find any new knee high boots I liked to replace old boots I took two pairs of much loved, comfortable and very worn boots to the Evans team (I haven't packed the boots to make them stand to show how well worn the boots are). One pair, by Clark's, they re-built the toe on the sole and replaced the worn sole and heel. These boots not only look like much loved and worn in boots; they feel like new. Where I could feel the ground under my feet if it was rocky I can't now. I purchased a jar of boot polish to treat the leather and they look absolutely fantastic.

The other pair are in the style of 'hunting boots' which I had made following a Laura Bennini shoe party many years ago. Evans treated the boot leather (this was not a full restoration where they re-colour the leather) and replaced the soles.

While not cheap to have the Evans Team work their magic, I could have bought 2 NEW pairs of boots for the same price; I have boots I know are comfortable and work with my current wardrobe of clothes. Evans ensure no landfill from throwing the boots in the bin. I'll have my boots for at least another 10 years to boot. A win win all round.
