2 days ago I purchased a grab bucket (mechanical) for a 5t excavator. The collar that welds to dipper arm did not fit the connecting arm they sent. It was 10mm narrower. I rang to see if I could get the correct one sent. The parts clown suggested it was probably the paint stopping it fitting. I said they don't paint 10mm thick. Then when he checked the yard he found all the arms + collars were all the same, too narrow to connect, stating the quality inspector must have been on holiday that day. I was told just grind it down till it fits. This took 4 hours to grind 10mm off a large metal arm. The attitude and customer service was very ordinary. The care factor was zero and at no time did he offer an apology or any compensation on future purchases. It is a shame because they have a large range of reasonable equipment. Be aware that things fit and work properly as you will get zero customer service after purchase. I live 700km away so couldn't return and any replacement also was manufactured wrong, so pointless replacing.

ALL BUYERS WARNED: WARNING DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM EXCAVATION EQUIPMENT – ALL BUYERS WARNED: WARNING DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM EXCAVATION EQUIPMENT: This company sells machinery equipment, toilet blocks, expandable houses, pods and temporary accommodations; please read my story below: In June 2024 I bought a 2 room portable accommodation block from Excavation Equipment. I had inspected it and had hoped for it to be a solid structure, but this simply was not the case. I bought it for the amount of $15,950.00. The unit did not come wired maybe that should have been a warning. It was delivered a few days later, for the first few days everything was fine, however once it began to rain, water began to run into the accommodation block. Leaving me to dry up the mess that had rained into the accommodation block the next day. The unit came supplied with electrical equipment/supplies and other accessories, all of which got damaged because of water damage. I tried to email Excavation Equipment for an item list and was simply told that there was nothing they could send. Since the first time it rained in to the building it has happened another 6 times. I even have had to rely on my own DIY sticky tape experiment, (which funnily enough managed to keep out a considerable amount of rain), however not enough to keep it dry. To summarise, do not under any circumstances buy anything from them. I deeply regret purchasing this building from them and would like anyone who is considering buying anything from them to learn from what I have experienced, so they can save themselves the trouble and money $$$.

P.S. - Maybe stay away from portable/expandable buildings altogether and instead get a shipping container to convert it to a home. There might be some good portable homes, however, the ones I have looked at or almost considered did not look good. The one I bought I thought would be fine, but I got stuck with a dud.

Since then I have bought converted/modified shipping containers from ABC Containers Toowoomba, maybe anyone should consider doing the same.
