No easy returns at Bunnings. The staff member at first didn't know what a car battery was! I presented both the battery and the receipt. Both proved a full year of use was remaining Simply Bunnings would not honour the warranty Not an easy returns! Show details

DON'T! – Bought an Exide ENDURANCE 810CCA DIN88MF got almost 3yrs out of it from Bunnings Noosaville. It's fairly standard fitment in a 4cyl W202 C200. It won't take a charge to full on trickle charge using intellicharger. Waiting for Exide representative to call me regarding a swap over at my house thanks to the great staff at Bunnings who organised… Read more
everything. Fingers crossed that the rep ACTUALLY calls.
Heads up, i called HIM week later and the rep had no idea wth I was talking about. It was the first he'd heard about my battery issue.
Impossible to replace. Do not buy! WARNING.....Exide doesn't cover their warranty. When it comes to BUNNINGS.
Do not buy these batteries – Do not buy these batteries, my Exide car battery failed within 3 years of purchase. Exide unwilling to help or replace although it failed within warranty period.
Leave me in he'll – With in 5 months my Battery totaly failed . I got new Battery after claim . But iam not satisfied . Two times same issue . Exide Quality Worst. Show details
Rubbish – Excide battery Model M.S.D.P 24 was dead after 7 Months. Upon taking it back to the dealer he said the warranty does not apply to a flat battery. I challenged that with no satisfaction. Show details
Very good experience with Exide – I had an Exide battery came as the OE with my Fiat Palio Multijet diesel car abroad and it had 5 years warranty. It lasted 5 years+ one month. What I noticed with couple of other cheaper variants of Exide battery was that those lasted for exactly the same period or little more than the warranty period. Battery lasts longer than the warranty… Read more
period, if one take care properly.
I live in Sydney. Today, I replaced a battery at Repco as Exide was not readily available at Bunnings otherwise I would have tried it here too.
poor battery life – My first battery that EXIDE provided 24 months warranty, It failed after 23 months. Then I change to EXIDE Extreme series, and EXIDE provided 42 months warranty for Extreme series. However, my XDIN66HMF failed after only 25 months. Extreme = 2 more months life. Show details
I bought 2 they are ok – hilux battery diesel, they have been good through winter have new baby only keep my batterys for 1.5 years no matter what, 50 tanks gas to 1 battery. 2500 fuel per 200 battery do the maths why do people blow up about battery cost oposed to fuel Show details
S**t Batteries – Bought 2 of the Exide car batteries now & both have been terrible, the latest one lasted only 12 months. The company does not uphold their supposed 3 year warranty. Do not buy! Show details
Poor Battery Life – I bought 2 Exide Orbital orb34dc-48 batteries together from a local store in March 2019. When the COVID19 virus began, I found there to be an issue with both the batteries. After lockdown/movement restrictions, I took both batteries to a local Battery World for testing. The testing cost $40 for the pair. The Exide batteries were found not to be… Read more
holding a charge and were less than 12.4 volts. As they are deep cycle, they should be holding higher than 13 volts. I contacted Exide direct via email and explained the issue and that it was out of the 1 year warranty date due to COVID19 restrictions and unable to get back to the store I bought them from. Exide emailed back and said no worries, go back to the store and get them replaced. Later they reread the email and said it was out of warranty and left it at that. I tried to ask if there had been any faulty batches reported as both these batteries had the exact same issue. Exide would not reply to that question even when asking several times. For a premium battery, I would expect the batteries to not fail just after the 1 year warranty ends..... I would expect that from a cheap battery. Poor response from Exide. These are not cheap batteries and I will never be purchasing this brand ever again. I will also be advising anyone that asks about them the issue I have had and to avoid them Exide batteries.
Great batteries, never had any problems – Just replaced the old battery which has been in my GQ Patrol for nearly 7 years with a new Exide Extreme, (comes with 36 mth warranty) this is the third one in 20 years. In that time I have not had any problems with any of them, would definitely recommend them. Show details

Failed battery, refused to replace under warranty – Bought a battery for $255- and it failed after 18 months. Dion at Exide refused to accept responsibility or replace it under their 2 year warranty with full receipts supplied. Charging the battery didn’t work, the battery had failed. A token warranty. Dion’s basic use of the English language and over use of “mate” is laughably and adds to your frustration. Show details
Exide Marine Batteries- Warranty Cover – My Boat battery failed just before the 12 months warranty expired even though the battery was largely on trickle charge when boat was idle. After a short Exide investigation, the battery was promptly replaced.
Exide battery (Marshall) under warranty - Left stranded due to misdiagnosis and management do not respond to emails – Points to address: 1) Initially took time off work on the 4/3/19 to have a battery replaced under warranty at the Campbellfield Vic branch but was advised to charge it overnight to see if the problem persists despite advising that the RACV had suggested replacing the battery. If I had known I would have been so inconvenienced in the near future, I… Read more
would have insisted on a replacement, then and there. 2) Battery is left for recharging for two nights straight but on Monday 11/3/19 (public holiday in Victoria) my wife is stranded at a shopping center due to the battery being flat (also had minor issues for the previous 2 - 3 days with slow starting). 3) Tuesday 12/3/19 had to take time off work again as my wife's car battery is flat and I had to jump start it. I attended the Campbellfield Vic branch at 1:05pm and the office was locked with no contact number displayed anywhere and no note to advise when it would be reopen, so I called Exide head office who advised the owner should return in the next 30 minutes. 4) On Tuesday 12/3/19 at 1:55pm I called Exide once again (50 mins after my previous phone call) to advise the owner had not returned and I was tired of waiting any further (my wife's car has been on all this time for fear that it would not start again). I then asked Exide for the details for the Sunshine office (154 Mcintyre Rd Sunshine) and to ensure that I would not have any issues with the Sunshine office as the warranty had expired a few days ago now. The battery was checked and replaced and I was then told that there was no warranty with the replacement battery. Consideration: Due to the poor customer service I have received this caused the following: - An extra 30 minute drive each way (Sunshine) totalling a further 1 hour inconvenience because the Campbellfield branch was not open despite being advised, the previous week to attend if there were any problems. - Wasted a further 50 minutes waiting for someone to attend the Campbellfield office who did not show up. The inconvenience of having my wife stranded on Monday 11/3/19 with a faulty battery because the battery was misdiagnosed a week earlier by Exide is unacceptable as no remedy was provided. - Had to take time off work a second time being Tuesday 12/3/19 due to relying on Exide's failed expertise with no remedy provided such as delivery of a replacement battery to my home if it failed again. - Battery finally replaced under warranty but with no warranty or assurance that the replacement battery will not fail in the short term and further inconvenience me. NB / Email sent to Exide Aus dated 13/3/19 and to Exide NZ dated 20/3/19 and to Marshall batteries 20/3/19 but no reply is received from management (not from any of the three) as at 29/03/19 because customer dissatisfaction is not important but trying to avoid warranty replacements is a top priority. Exide reception also refuse to priovide any names of management as well. Will lodge a VCAT case for breach of contract and loss of hours and extra travel due to not replacing it the first time. Beware and ensure you have evidence from RACV or your local mechanic to force Exide to honour their warranty obligations instead of inconveniencing you and forcing you to take time off twice, waiting for an hour for a supplier to show up at the supplier's office at 2:00pm but doesn't and then being further inconvenienced because the office is closed and then being forced to travel an extra one hour out of your way to go somewhere else.
