ABSOLUTE SCAM - disappeared with peoples money !! – I had purchased from Extreme Battery before and when trying to find them online again, I started getting the feeling they are no longer .... then I came across this forum and it confirms my suspicions. Long story short - I paid for a "135 A/h" AGM battery from ExtremeBattery.com.au back on the 27th November 2019 and to be honest, I didn't get a… Read more
massive boost of confidence in them at first. My initial email took a number of days to come back. I ended up phoning them and yes they did confirm that they had an office in the heart of the Sydney CBD which is not unusual for online only businesses so after they answered ( very vaguely ) a number of my queries, I placed on order through their online portal. One was like how much the 135 a/h battery weighed ( I was planning out my fit out and weight was crucial ). They eventually replied "approx 30k, Best Regards, [Name Removed]. - Online Support" That was all he could provide me. Vague but not alarming I guess, yet.
They said they a depot in Western Sydney, Toll Express at Wetherill Park from memory - however it was convenient for delivery to work. Their delivery turn around time was efficient however no tax invoice came with it so I emailed requesting one and had no response for days. Tried by phone again, spoke with [Name Removed] again pushing to provide me a tax invoice for warranty and they just kept saying that they couldn't reprint one because of the way I ordered it on their website through the portal or some crap. Over 3 months and I was still chasing a receipt. Finally got this response - "Hi, Thanks for your email I cannot find order matching your name or order you should be able to log into your account view and print your order if you did not order it please check with the friend or the other name email that was used. Best Regards, [Name Removed]. - Online Support"
I reminded [Name Removed] that if they're selling batteries all day everyday online, surely I mustn't be the only person asking for the seemingly impossible task of a tax invoice. Gave them all my details, and they kept saying they had no record in their system, I had to log in to retrieve it myself however their log in was crap and didn't allow for any invoice or order retrieval.
I was still chasing them end of February 2020 for a receipt. At this point it did have me a little concerned however in the end they came good and sent me one. Although looking at the invoice, there's reason for concern - it had absolutely no business details on it - there's no ABN on it ( a legal requirement for any business in Australia ) and really didn't have much information on it at all. Turns out they didn't even have a legitimate ABN nor were GST registered. It's literally just like a word document they've created. Turns out they had already been deregistered by the ACCC / Fair Trading.
Looking back on it now though, I should've just spent the extra $50-$100 at a more reputable retailer where you have a bigger backing and bricks and mortar security. I think you are then better covered by Fair Trading etc too. Online scumbags like this outfit can literally shut their laptop, flick off the lights and vanish forever.
It's apparent now they were a fly by the night pop up businesses that have gone bust and vanished. At first the battery seemed OK however as it turns out, my "135" A/h battery is actually only 20 A/h and is lucky to run my fridge for more than a few hours before it's completely flat !! Benefit of the doubt if they had a bad batch of batteries however fix the issue, don't stick your head in the sand and then take off with everyone's cash. I absolutely hate hearing unscrupulous mongrels ripping people off like this !! On seeing others that had batteries from this mob with ceramic and glass "tiles" placed inside instead of proper lead and battery material, when my eventually dies, I'll be cutting it open for sure to see what is in mine. I don't think it was bad luck, I think they know and have purposely duped many people out of their hard earned dollars. Thieving mongrels !!!
Considering they have no ABN history at all and their domain name www.extremebattery.com.au is now available for purchase, sorry to say but they are long gone with everyone's cash. I believe, from what others have said too, they have changed their names several times and even tried starting up at least 1 other battery reselling company xBattewry.com.au which is simply a "parked" domain name which currently just shows a template website page - not legit either !
I believe they're also linked to a printing company in Parramatta ( I won't name in case it's not 100% correct ) who have "apparently" closed their shop doors and work from "home" - same thing - website without much credible info - no ABN listed etc. Started that company 21st Jan 2020 ( around the same time that Extreme Battery - could just be coincidental ) ... who knows though, they can chop and change nowadays and disappear quickly. Appears they may have also jumped in bed now with another online retailer so I'm on your heels you low life scumbag pieces of crap !!!
A complete dud – Bought an Extreme 4WD 120 AH battery eleven months ago and on two camping trips the fridge cut out after four days when supported by a 200 kw solar panel. I asked the autoelectrician to do a thorough check and he confirmed that the battery was a dud and was struggling to hold enough charge after one night when fully charged. Our camper trailer is now fitted with a 120 AH Bond battery which was recommended by the autoelectrician.
I should have read the reviews! – I bought a 250 Ah AGM battery from Extreme Batteries in June 2019 for a solar powered bore pump. I stored it for a month before connecting it to my system. The system was set to stop running when the battery level hit 11.6 volts, what I have been told was the lowest to discharge an AGM battery for long life. After the battery was fully charged I… Read more
ran the system for 45 minutes before it hit 11.6 volts, the battery monitor showed 58 Ah had been consumed. I didn’t get any response from my emails about it and the system was running ok. Now I get 15 minutes. Extreme batteries have closed and opened as xBattery. Lesson is to buy from a reputable dealer, pay a bit more and if possible use PayPal.

Batteries are filled with WEIGHTS - DO NOT BUY – Purchased this battery, basically it sucked. Asked for a refund and they refused. Went through paypal and was told they’d refund my money when I sent the battery back. The cost of sending the battery back was nearly the cost of the battery itself so I didn’t bother. Fast forward a bit, and we had nothing to lose... we cut open the battery to find… Read more
Glass weights in there!!! Needless to say after a lot of stuffing around and threats to go to the police to charge these scammers with fraud, they have since refunded our money. After playing stupid and not knowing how to do it, not responding to emails etc... they eventually did it after I told them I had gone to the police and media outlets. They have also since deregistered their original company and started a new website “xBattery.net” so be aware of them.
I will be taking this further even though I have got my refund. It seems there are many people they have scammed and it’s ridiculous that they continue to do so.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions
Order never turned up – I ordered this product in July and received a confirmation on the 15th. Order number 4105. I have heard nothing and received nothing. I have attempted to contact the company (gmail address for a company???) and have not received a reply. I've done a little digging for a contact point and it would appear that this is a dodgy entity. According to… Read more
the whois lookup on the domain name the company's real trading name is empire state pty ltd. I checked this company out with ASIC and it was deregistered a couple of months ago. I've attached a screenshot. The ABN from the whois lookup matches this company record. It would seem that this is a scam company. I will wait another 24 hours and if I haven't heard anything from them I'll be going to the police for assistance.
Battery delivered late, and doesn't work – The battery that I ordered arrived late but, it did arrive, unfortunately the battery doesn't work/hold any charge, I had the battery professionally checked, result, stuffed. Extreme batteries, extremely unresponsive & unhelpful so far. Did receive email saying do to corona that deliverys are taking longer but how long should it be to organise a… Read more

Money Refunded – Had ordered 5x250Ah AGM batteries and paid for them, week later ran into sudden personal difficulties. Emailed Extreme on Monday for refund, they replied Tuesday saying would get a full refund, no freight or penalties, money back in bank Thursday. Thank you

Worst after sales servie – Purchased a 200Ah battery in March, charged it on home electricity it lasted 4 hrs before it dropped a cell. Have emailed Extreme Batteries (now known as XBattery) they informed by that I had to do everything that I had also told them what we did if they had read the email. I then emailed requesting a replacement as it is still under warranty but have had no reply
135ah - more like 80ah or even less – Bought the 135ah battery from extreme batteries (now named xBattery) and was puzzled at the time how they got a 135 ah rating into a 105ah “N70” shell and at less weight? I should have twigged at that stage, oh how stupid can I be. (You’re probably laughing now). The the battery comes and is unlabelled, not one bit of info or brand on it at all… Read more
just a plain black case.
The battery holds between 65-80ah and has been tested by 2 independent sources. My dual battery monitor shows it can’t take more than 0.5amp feed once it passes 20% capacity. This is due to it being under weight, it lacks cell density. Absolutely useless as a 4wd 2nd battery running a fridge.
Charge for a week and it will run out in 12-15 hours. Even with a dc to dc charger and hours of driving. The battery is simply no where near ‘fit for purpose’ or even remotely close to as advertised specs.
6 months on from purchase and the emails went from helpful to condescending and now to silence.
Company changed names during this time but the same fraudulent practices are being practised and I’ve seen a few complaints same as mine in 4wd forums. Hence inspiring me to review online myself.
Avoid “xBattery/extreme battery” like the plague, they’ve got my $250 but that’s the last money they’ll ever see of mine and if anyones reading this review and walks the other way then that will give me some satisfaction.

Horrible, don’t waste your time and cause yourself the stress – I bought a 200ah battery in march 7 weeks later it never showed up. I hounded them asking where it is and was told it will be here soon. Then finally they got back to me and said it’s sitting in the depots floor because they can’t send it to a PO Box, that’s fine but why on earth didn’t I get told this when I bought the battery. 5 weeks later my… Read more
battery arrived. It had a broken handle so had been dropped. I got a prompt response about a replacement. I had to pay $100 to keep the faulty one and they said they will send me another one. The faulty one last about 20 minutes before it discharges. In regards to my replacement battery 6 months on and still nothing. So the company has taken $400 from me and I have nothing to show for it. They are ignoring all of my emails . I want a refund and they are not responding to anything. It’s criminal what they are doing . Iv list my job this year and all I wanted was a battery for my camping set up. It’s disgusting what they are doing and I don’t know what to do . Please don’t buy from these people . They are nasty and don’t care what’s so ever

Avoid like the plague!! – We purchased a 140ah AGM battery in August and fully charged it doesn’t hold a fridge on low setting for more than a few hours. My 2yo car battery holds charge for way longer than this piece of c&$&. Buy a reputable brand instead.

Worst customer service ever, seriously the worst – 17 August 2020 I purchased a 200AH 12V Battery AGM Power Deep Cycle and returned it. I requested a phone number to discuss this, it did not work. I am… Read more
at a loss of what to do, no Battery and out of pocket $300. I guess as the old saying goes if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is. Jacque D
I bought a 200amp hour battery from them – Biggest waste of money. $ 300 bucks and it wont hold a fridge going for more then an hour. Total scam. Don't buy this crap. They should have to reimburse everyone. Because all I see is bad reviews
Garbage – Purchased a "140 ah AGM" battery. When fully charged would not run a 40 litre Engel set on 1 overnight. Had it tested by two auto electricians and a reputable battery retailer. It came up as only holding 20% charge. Numerous emails later it is still taking up room in my shed. Don't deal with this mob!!
Just cut the top off this "battery" and it is full of glass tiles and little else..
These batteries are worthless. Do not buy – I purchased a 135ah AGM battery with this company at the beginning of the year 2020. From the day it arrived the battery wasn’t lasting for more than an hour powering a small fridge. I want my money back!! They tricked me in dropping off the battery at [Address Removed] to find out that their office is not even there. This company is a scam, I really want to return this battery and get my money back!!!!!!
Untrustworthy – Bought a battery in January, was faulty and returned as per instructions for promised refund, that was 3 months ago. They have my money and their faulty battery. Not Happy.
Do not buy from X Battery which was Extreme Batteries – We bought 8 X 250ah batteries from Extreme batteries who are now X Battery. Had the ah tested and doesn't even have 20ah. We will be going to ACCC and the police and would love people's help if possible. These guys need to be taken down.
Just an update this company also runs printxpress plus which is now closed in Parramatta. Tried the phone number but is disconnected.
Product delivered not as advertised – A different "Brand" delivered (late) to what was ordered. A 23 kg battery does not have the 135 ah capacity as claimed. Another brand we purchased (120 ah) weighs 34kgs. No tracking facility provided once ordered. Supplier will not refund until monies received from their supplier

Wish I'd Seen This Site Before Ordering – As the title says I wish I had run a quick Google search to find this site before ordering. The order originally took 4 weeks to arrive. Hopefully someone see's this review (like many others) before they purchase anything for this SCAM company. Do not use this company.

Order never showed up – Ordered on the 19/7 still haven't received it. Told it would be 18 days delivery like everyone else has. refuse to refund money or to provide proper tracking. generic email replies. I want my money back don't buy from them, they are a scam.
Advertised 120aH but only 36aH capacity – Tested battery drawing only low current with my Engel fridge, through a Victron battery monitor, has a capacity of 36aH when it should be 120aH. Don’t buy one of these very disappointed, after reading other reviews I realized I’ve been scammed
Scam! Do not buy from these guys! – I bought 2 x 120ah 12v titan batteries for just shy of $500 each, when you look inside the battery box I found cells that are about 40ah! Not possibly more then 50ah given their size, the rest of the box was filled with ceramic tiles to make them weigh closer to the correct weight!
Battery arrived – I will test the battery and then leave a review, battery arrrived while I am away, I will be home in a few weeks, my son forgot to tell me it arrived
