Hi my name is Eddie, I have recently had my eyevision Two wire vidio intercom system paired with the eyevision two wire 7" screen WiFi monitor installed and it all worked great for about 4 hrs, I was able to talk both to the monitor and to the door station and also open the front gate from the monitor, but after about 4 hr the monitor went blank and was not working no matter what I tried, I switched off the power supply to both units and re-booted it up but although the monitor and the vidio door station has come back on the monitor is only showing a blue screen when the DT-DSI station is pressed (vidio door station), by pressing the door bell on the vidio door station the ringing chime goes on at the monitor but there is no voice recording when the talk/monitor button on the monitor is pressed and the gate wont open when the unlock button is pressed. Avoid – I don't live in the same state that I purchased this from. I cannot find anyone that can install it and the company can not help. So waste of my money.
Good Retro Fit Video Intercom – Purchased an Eyevision 2 wire video intercom system (two monitors, door station and power unit) being a retrofit for an existing audio only system in our home that we recently moved in to. Being a two storey house it was not possible to replace the existing wiring and install additional power points due to the way the cabling was routed through the wall frames and upper floor.
Automotion Plus were very helpful with my queries regarding installation and set up using the existing six core alarm cable.
I installed the system myself and it was straight forward. The installation instructions were clear explaining the function of the DIP switches as setting the DIP switches on the monitor(s) in the correct position is critical for the system to function correctly. Some additional settings (codes) have to be imputed in to the monitors when powered up to set up master and slave functions as well as allowing the slave monitor to show the video image when the door station button is pressed. Again clearly explained in the instructions.
We are very happy with the video intercom system. The picture is clear, sound is ok and my wife feels secure in that she can see who is at the front door, talk to them without having to go to the door and open it.
