Family Zone

Family Zone was great for my family – As a parent who has used family zone across 4 children over 10 years, I've found it terrific. Yes, there are risks with iPhones, and no teen wants to be controlled (just see all the comments here), but it kept my kids much safer, and reduced their addiction potential.

Issue resolved – Not useful for iPhones because the kids can get around it

FamilyZone Is Corrupt! – This program that is mean to help monitor website browsing will literally pick which adds to show and which not to, as well as that rubbish excuse to block websites it also loves to block useful and informative news articles, scientific papers and anything educational on youtube. so every time you need to access a website that family zone deems "inappropriate" you have to wait on hold to talk with a team member to get them to grant access!

Go to hell Family Zone – Family zone took away all of my self-responsibility. It meant I had no say on what I could do and what I could use. After it was taken away I had no time management as I hadn't learned how to control my time as It was all controlled for me. It also caused a lot of problems on my laptop such as ruining the battery and causing it to crash. It also ruined my phone battery. Don't get Family zone it's crap.

I Hate Familyzone – Familyzone was installed on my schools devices, it sucks, the school sets what happens and what you search, it pretty much controls the computer and makes it slow, drains battery and eats up CPU. It has made me INSANE. PERIOD.

Do Not Get Family Zone! – I do not recommend parents to use Family Zone on their kids. It controls a kid's life and they don't get enough freedom. everyday and it is a absolute waste of time. Furthermore, once they start playing a game, your kids will still be able to continue playing it after it has changed to study mode. Screen time is a lot better than Family Zone, but I think you should only use it if you have to. Using parental control apps will only make your kid think that you don't trust them and your relationships will start to fall apart. I think the best thing you should do is check your child's history once a while and have a chat to them about online safety, and at least give them a few chances. Don't download familyzone, don't make a mistake!

disappear, which is a pain. I was still able to uninstall it, even though it should have been physically impossible to install. I figured it out from messing with family zone at school, and used that knowledge and quick timing in very small windows to delete it. I am proud of myself, but I shouldn't have to do this at all. I am one of the more "tech-experienced" people in the class.

So bad – My parents always catch me playing roblox and now they blocked it what have they done.Many other things that I want to do they have blocked.They literally have blocked pretty much everything.What has family zone done.

Don't waste your time - do not install – Would not recommend to anybody. This app slows down your device, rarely allows functional internet access and to disable features requires you to disable the VPN it uses, which sometimes sends a warning to the parent. control over their life. Like other parental control applications, Family Zone will not help your kid like you. Instead, they will be upset and feel insecure. Just look through their search history every so often or teach them about being safe online. It's going to do much more overall.

Waste of time and money – This app is weak and easy to break through. I have it for both my kids and my 11 year old daughter easily broke through it. Not only that but my son's internet never works. It is so confusing and the internet thing we bought was expensive. Such a waste of money. Do not get this app it is annoying and I hope it gets taken down before more people make the same mistake as I did.

Flawed and weak – My 8 year old daughter disabled it within the first week. Do not download, just look through history on safari and check there. Do not get app if you don't want to waste time.

Easily disabled by a 10 year old – This software has so many flaws. Who was the tech team behind this? Was it outsourced because its pretty awful. I can't believe the schools forces parents to purchase this.

Confusing – Received an email from school welcoming us to family zone asking us to activate our account and set the app to our mobiles for management purposes. my childs laptop. This next morning there is advertising spam via them in my email inbox. I still cannot figure out how to download any 'management' tool that is not an app and after reading reviews would consider my son is more than savvy enough to bypass it if installed on his laptop. The link from school sent us to a portal for quick family setup, however nothing on that screen seems to respond except 'skip setup'.... I feel this is not very user friendly for busy parents and is a way for the company to access parents and place them onto a paid plan via the well meaning of schools trying to encourage cyber safety. Will not be using.

Flawed – Setup is time consuming. We found out teenage kids could easily disable the app on their phones and we were forever having to fix them. to keep things blocked / working. Final nail in the coffin was when I was told (after contacting support) that it wouldn’t work with mesh wifi. Game over...subscription cancelled.

Poor Customer Support – This company has very poor customer support and does not get back to you! As people have said the app does not work with kids over 10 and can navigate how to crack this app, do not buy...

Can be disabled easily – Put it in Aeroplane mode for 5 mins, watch the app disable itself and then you can work normally again. This app while it comes from a good place needs a lot of work before it can compete with the top guys

very limited features – i purchased this family-zone box and subscription. Been using it for a few month. Very limited features and user interface to configure settings is poor. I will not recommend it.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would – This is the single worst app to ever be created. If you have installed this on a Child's device, you are a bad parent. DO NOR DOWNLOAD THIS APP PLEASE!

This product is not well tested – I’m a unhappy customer of family zone. This product is not well tested and their support is very poor. The issues I have reported outstanding for months. It looks like support consultant lack of trouble shooting skills and they don’t have a thorough knowledge about the product.

Spyware – I have heard rumors that the company can spy on your activity and keeps it for 'informational data'. This app is just spyware in disguise. GET RID OF IT NOW!!!

Why is this thing not discontinued? – It’s the worst, it turns off my apps if my devices get a name change for some reason. It should be defunct and never used again! And it spies on you even if you are on private browsing Immediately Discontinue use!! For your child’s safety

Not time limit – I agree this may work for younger kids only. It is very easy to be tampered with. Yes, you get a warning but they can still use the device after the app has been removed. settings for school, home, or play, but if the routine goes from 9AM to 5 PM, the device is available the whole day, irrespective of the number of hours used in a day. Exactly what I was trying to limit. I cancelled my subscription within the first month.

VPN makes it useless – It is only for kids under 10. As soon as a kid knows VPN, none of the parental controls will work. Even schools are struggling. Not just a family zone. Any software such as Apple parent control, MS parent control won't work with VPN. I gave three stars because it may work with children under 10. I cancelled my subscription within three months.
