bother accepting it in the first place? They send a very young people over who really don’t want to participate and they are choosing their clients. They tend to choose tasks that are easy when a client is difficult and requires major assistance. They tend to procrastinate and make up excuses why they can’t provide the service the second time they came they rocked up with no PPE and we’re asking me for gloves. There’s no infection control with these carers.

This is the best site – Since I have been a part of the Find a Carer team it has been a wonderful experience. The staff have always been very helpful in helping to set up my profile and any issues I have had. The payments come through within a few days and on on a regular basis..I am very happy to recomend them to anyone ..and I mention them to my friends and family all the time. Show reply

Very Helpful - recognise the need to perform and actually find a Carer – I have found as a self manager of my own Home Care Package, quite difficult to get enough information to make a good selections. from Find a Carer on the what I could /should be doing in the selection process and that was received promptly. I now have a list of open questions and checks that I need to have for my own needs of feeling secure and finding a carer to meet my unique needs. Additionally, I wrote my own Job description to Care for Will - to assist in training by me of new carers. Basically, I want to feel really cared for. One does need to understand how the fees work for each platform . Find a Carer is simple- just one fee for the carer to cover their costs, including Insurance cover. To me the net $ received by my carer is important.

The other factor I found important in the hiring and keeping a carer is distance . Why ? So much unproductive time for the carers because of congestion in traffic.

Sites that list distance from your postcode/ address is of great assistance . Find a Carer have taken on board my comments regarding the lack of such a intuitive filter. Yes does get the closer workers and have to read all by suburb and need to work out how far it is. To many potential carers for the elderly to sort out, ranking by distance would make it much easier!

I understand this is now work in progress to update their site. On completion, I would give them a 5* rating

The best carer employment method that I have found – Find A Carer has given me excellent personal customer service and the lowest mark-up that I have found in the industry. My carers are top-notch. currently has some frustrating problems, but I am assured that a total rebuild is in the works. Meanwhile, phone service is excellent to sort out any issues. It is worth perservering. Highly recommended.

the main way they help is by prompting me to do things I should do but keep forgetting to do due to my hyperfocus with the autism and being distracted all the time, I am very happy with the service and couldn't recommend Find A Carer enough.
