After 6 false alarms in the last few months for absolutely no reason at the most inconvenient times I have had enough and taken all 7 down. I had to keep an extra long stick handy to press the button to shut them up. I will be looking for a replacement that has a remote panel so that testing and reseting is easier.

Works well as advertised but, read my instructions – 6 out of 6 I purchased have been working well and installation is easy, if you know how to interconnect them. I have not had them long enough to be able to report on battery life. To link the devices: 1. Turn all of them on by twisting the unit on the base (white LED will turn on for a short time) 2. Pick a Master (arbitrarily) 3. Press the… Read more ·  1

button on the Master 3 times rapidly within 2 seconds, and wait until its LED turns Blue 4. On the other device to be linked to the Master, press the button 3 times rapidly within 2 seconds 5. Make sure the LED of both the Master and the device you are linking to it turn Green momentarily 6. Wait until the LED of the Master turns Blue again 7. Go to Step 4 to link the next device to the Master

To test the links: 1. Press the button on one of the smoke alarms, and release it as soon as it sounds 2. The OTHER linked devices will sound and flash periodically 3. Silence the devices by pressing their button once momentarily
