Dont touch them. Utterly useless. Spend hours on phone to connect to people all over the world and then they are in a different time zone etc They can never give you a resolution without endless calls

Stay away – Cannot even began to describe why. Had few police complaints against them, yet no resolution. I can go on for few days regarding their problems but what I can do is to warn you all to STAY AWAY And be safe

Overseas company & worst ever service offered – I dealt with this company. If anyone does not trust me PM me.When I started I doesn't read the reviews. That's the biggest mistake I have done at the first place. In Australia you don't have any government body to fight against them because this is an overseas company. They will do mistakes & put u in a situation that u cant get any help from ASIC… Read more

or small business ombudsman when you are in a situation to dealt with. Trust me. They will take you to problems and problems and leave you there. Don't waste your time and money with this no sympathy company.

Refuse to reimburse me for financial loss caused by faulty EFTPOS terminal – A customer wanted a refund for goods returned. Twice I tried to process the refund and it was declined both times. Therefore, I had to refund the customer with cash. FirstData then refunded the customer even though the transaction had been declined and I have the receipt as proof of this. I immediately contacted FirstData and was advised that… Read more

it was not their problem, that they would not reimburse me for my loss and to contact the customer (who is a stranger). Totally unacceptable given that my financial loss is a consequence of a fault with EFTPOS terminal and through no fault of my own.

Beyond hopeless – Our bank, the Bank of Queensland has handed over all the eftpos terminals, payments and fees to First Data. OK fair enough. But when we needed a new terminal as our old one was not printing receipts; it had worn the gears out.. I requested a new mobile terminal in which we use in the truck and must be able to accept phone MOTO payments. After… Read more

around three months and after yet more calls it finally arrives. Was informed it works like the old one. Can't do a close batch; can't do a phone transaction. So while I'm parked on the side of the road outside a customers house I ring. After getting bored listening to the voice recording of how far I have progressed in the Que; after 25+ minutes it's finally answered. I explain the problem and the male states "sorry can't help" so I request him to get some one to call back and leave my mobile number. Three days now and no call from them. So now I need to trust my customers in that they will do a direct deposit for their transport as I can't do a phone MOTO transaction. Quick to take fees and charges; but useless in contacting a customer to figure out what's wrong with the machine... I am now looking at other EFTPOS machine providers..

It is now 28/11/2019 and I have spent nearly 1 hour trying to get First Data to understand that I cannot do a MOTO sale... After speaking to six different persons the sixth hung up after asking me to turn the machine on. Will now pass it across Fair Trading as I cannot run a business with a faulty eftpos machine. First Data keep dodging the fact that the machine does not do a MOTO sale or a close batch. When I updated to this one; ingenico Move/5000 I was assured that it can be used on the road and able to take telephone sales. It doesn't; it requires passwords that only First Data can install.. This company is just useless and does not supply any support to their customers after the sale of this crappy EFPTOS machine. My advise is if you can; stay as far away as possible from this business!

Offshoring call centres to the Phillipines doesn't help Australian Business – The Australian subsidiary of a large American Business that provide Merchant Services (payment processing) that take Credit Card payments and manages the movement of monies and dispute processing. Over time the fees for the Merchant services have double and their service halved. Operating an Internet business where cards are never present it seems… Read more

to be impossible even to win a dispute with First Data handling the dispute resolution offshore in the Philipines. Getting to speak to a manager in Australia is seemingly impossible.
