I have a DD60 Does it use cold water from the tap and heat it up or use water from the hot tap? How many litres of water does it use for a fast wash?

We have a brand new twin draw dish washer and it doesn’t clean the dishes. Over 2000 and still won’t clean Our 10 year old double draw clean 100 times better. This doesn’t heat up much like our old one. Put some snags on a plate and it won’t even clean the oil left behind from them

Hi Karen, yes I hear you our brand new Fisher & Paykel won’t even clean butter of a knife (yes seriously) or fresh coffee stains out out of a cup. Absolutely hopeless

Can you use a dish draw with a low pressure water system

Hi I have a fisher and paykel dishdrawers - there is no fault showing both drawers everytime the small filter is clogging up with fat residue so it appears the water is not hot enough? The arm and the large wide filter i clean out all the time so it does not appear anything to do with that either. The small filter has a tiny residue hole so i have also checked that is not clogged but perhaps i need to do more? Thanks for your time cheers Kath

Both drawers have been washing fine. Suddenly both displays are flashing, the cycles have frozen and there is some residual water in the bottom of the drawers.

Powering off and on again I could select washes again but after a few mins the display flashes again and everything stops.

Any ideas?

Sorry but I have no idea. All I know is mine doesn’t wash well!!!

Sorry I have no idea what the problem may be. Fisher and Paykel service division have a fixed price service at a reasonable price. It doesn't matter how long it takes to fix the unit it is the same price plus parts. Good luck.

There should always be about 1cm of water in the bottom, keeps the rotor bearing lubricated. Most likely a problem with the filter pcb or a wiring fault. You realise F&P are offering an upgrade on these drawers, definitely big savings + free delivery, install and removal of old machine.

Give them a call.

Hi there! Can you please tell me how much water and electricity the DD601v2 uses for a normal wash on eco and a fast wash both eco and not on eco?

Our dishwasher has a deeper drawer at the top. Could you please tell me the above info for both the deeper and smaller drawers?

Thanks!

Hannah

I don't have that model

fisher_man

Both tubs are the same size (same part number)

Electricity used determined by initial water temp and which cycle selected.

Parts for 601"s and 603's are no longer being made and f&p have an upgrade offer for both.

Contact f&p for details.

I have a DD601 v2 dishwasher and the control panel turned orange, I was doing a wash 29mins and I don’t know if it finished the cycle I think it did but it didn’t beep, it went orange and even red at one stage. Is it broken? Why has this occurred?

We have an original Dishdraw and are wondering if it heats it's own water? We have just moved into a house and the book wasn't left here.

fisher_man
fisher_man

Yes it does - all dishwashers heat their own water.

Wash water is not as hot as rinse water, by having its own heater it can regulate the temperature.

Hi can i turn up the heat of my water on the dishdrawer as the filter below is clogging up with fat dispite me cleaning it out almost every day so it appears the water is not hot enough? fisher and paykel show HE and make a wish sound, this HE sign is not referred to in the manual, please reply what is the problem and what it means?

Fisher & Paykel

The “HE” symbol is displayed. This means that water heating is in progress due to incoming water being too cold, a drop in temperature through the DishDrawer being opened during the wash program, or the correct wash temperature not having been reached. The wash program times on the Electronic Display are based on inlet water temperatures at 20°C.

How do you restart the dish drawer after being accidentally put in pause mode?

Press the start pause again to restart. There will be a slight delay while the lid seal inflates.

Not an answer but a further question. In my case the HE symbol persisted for about 30 minutes during the wash phase and the machine and contents just got hotter and hotter. Eventually I had to stop the machine, worried about overheating, maybe even fire. Can someone explain what the problem might be?

I have moved into a house with a DS601 single drawer. Apparently it was working previous to me moving in, but tradesmen may have accidentally bumped the buttons before I moved in when doing some work. It has been stuck with MIN flashing, and finally today I press a combination of buttons and lost the min, gained a red screen and the smiley face and can get either LP or HP by pressing the start/pause button. If I turn it off it goes back to green screen and min flashing. But I still can't get my dishes washed! I suspect a programming issue, but have no idea how to fix it.

To Enter Option Adjustment Mode • Press Power to turn the DishDrawer on. The electronic display will be green. • Press and hold the Program and Eco Save buttons simultaneously for five seconds. • When the buttons have been pressed correctly the DishDrawer will emit one long

beep.

• Release the two buttons. The electronic display will be red and the secondary

control panel light(s) will be orange. See below for further details.

• Use the buttons on the primary and secondary control panel to make your

changes to the pre set options. These are explained below.

• Once you have made these changes, press the Power button to return to the

Normal mode. The DishDrawer will save these changes automatically.

• To make further changes repeat the above steps from the beginning.

Water Pressure

The DishDrawer is programmed at the factory to suit most water supply pressures.

However, if the DishDrawer is used in very low water pressure situations ( £50kPa ), it

may result in a U1 fault code. Should this happen then the water pressure setting

should be changed.

• Enter into the Option Adjustment Mode as explained above.

• Pressing the Start / Pause button will change the water pressure settings.

• The electronic display will show which water pressure the DishDrawer is set to. If

“HP” is showing on the electronic display this indicates high or standard pressure

or “LP” meaning low pressure.

• Press the Power button to return to the Normal Operating Mode.

Warning:

Under no circumstances do we recommend you change your water pressure setting to

“LP” if you have high or standard water pressure. Failure to follow this can result in

damage to your DishDrawer or property.

Yes, I got there by accident already. My real problem is that when the electronic display is green there is no smiley face, and the MIN flashes constantly. It does not stop, and the dishdrawer doesn't operate.

Do I need hot water to run a dish drawer dishwasher?

zoe

We have f&p dishwasher drawer model dd060. It is running continuously for hours and not stopping. Any suggestions on what the problem may be? Have cleaned filters and no change.

My guess is that you have either painfully-slow filling of fresh cold water, or painfully slow draining of waste water. When you start it up, do you hear some 'gushing' noises in the first few minutes, to confirm that the inlet water is coming in with gusto when the solenoid is opened - remember that the inlet solenoid is not like a tap, as it does not 'slowly open' but it is either 'open' or 'closed', so water should be heard gushing in when it opens. Alternatively, pull the waste water pipe that is farthest from the machine off the connection to your kitchen sink waste pipe (or whereever it goes) and put that into a bucket for a dishdrawer cycle, to see if it pumps vigorously at the drain part of the cycle. A slow draining will mean that there is a blockage or a failure in the small electrical pump that drains the dishdrawer. Interrupting a cycle and adding some CLR to the water in the base of the dishdrawer may clear some crap from water exit path. Some 'Draino' is a bit more severe to break-down food stuffs and other organic material, but not bits of crockery or broken plastic. But the test of gushing in, and gushing out should tell you if the problem is in the inlet or exit water pathways.
