Waste of money – Had to buy this as the supplier did not have anything else. Biggest regret as it horrible to use. It actually make breathing while sleeping harder as the air flow is heavy and they can’t change that. Do not recommend this at all! Show details
defective to the point of dangerous – had this unit for some time and was having oxygen drops ding the night , information from an oximeter. on a couple of occasions i caught the unit trying to choke me for about 5-10 seconds just before I went to sleep. after multiple meetings with the sleep specialist who was no help i wrote a long complainant letter to F&P . with some machine data they admitted something was wrong with the unit and they needed to send to NZ for further testing and they replaced it. I lost faith after that and bought a Airsence 10. I sleep much better now.
Mobile unfriendly – Every couple of days I have to disconnect and reconnect so that the info from my cpap machine transfers to my iPad. It disconnects from Bluetooth regular and even when I try to reset it may or may not work. Also, when you wake up I the middle of the night to go to the washroom and come and restart it does not register the second part of your sleep. Piece of crap, I like the dreamstation better. Very good unit with 1 downside – The unit works great! Im very happy with all the features. The only downside is that the hose connection between the unit and the hose that cuts out the heating function is total garbage. The connection part does not have the grooves as the hose. I would get rid of it fast – I got the fisher and Paykel cpap as an interim until my airsense was repaired by my chemist, although it was appreciated as they didn’t want me to be without, I think I would have had the same sleep quality. FANTASTIC MACHINE – I have had mine for 2 years now from SleepWell Clinic in New Zealand. It is an AMAZING product. Super easy to setup, use and maintain. Almost silent machine. Not a single problem. tried resmed but did not like the humidifier but apparently they fixed it – Stopped using it because of sore throats ,after stopping for 2 years I started back due to sleepiness was back, and purchased 2. One for travelling. I find that F&P cpap are better quality ,but prefered the older model as the water resevoir was larger and visible now you have to open it to check and too small ,they should fix that .Already woke up with that dry smell ,3 am not fun but maybe they can improve the size of the container Show details
Great machine – I did lengthy trials of both the Resmed and F&P units. The F&P was much better tolerated - I didn't wake up in the night the way I did with the Resmed. I suspect this is due to the automatic ramping function. Have used it nightly for six months without issue. My only gripe is that there is no easy option for non-mains power when camping. Great breaths - Bluetooth not so good – This is a great product that has in handed my sleep no end!! Only one small problem is the Bluetooth disconnects when ever I leave my house and I have to reset the machine to get it to reconnect. Show details
F&P Core CPAP Unit – I have recently invested in F&P equipment, including this core unit and a 'Envora' mask. Regularly our night is disturbed with the core unit delivering far too much air such that the sound of escaping air is audible to the point of wakening both my Wife and myself. I have come to calling this event, the core unit tripping into 'cyclone' mode! Has anyone else experienced this occurrence, and, of greater importance, how di you resolve the problem?

on 2 occasions and the air filter at the back of my machine but apart from this, I haven’t had to do anything else. A great machine and I would recommend to anybody looking to purchase a CPAP machine.

Regret swapping from Resmed – Firstly the straps on my full face mask fell apart and I had to make home repairs. (I was trapped in southern Africa where access to a CPAP provider was impossible). Secondly the blue-tooth connection to my phone kept failing, and still does in Australia. The hose to my mask is more rigid to what I am used to and effects my mask fit as I am a restless sleeper. previous F&P must be at least 7 years old - only stopped when I was travelling and the reservoir still had some water in it going all through the machine so I would say this brand has been very reliable for me. I borrowed a BMC machine when this occurred earlier this year - the humidity never really warmed up properly, and the tubes kept collecting water, which sometimes ended up in the mask.( I note the F&P manual warns about having devices above head height for safety reasons if using water in the humidity chamber). My ears got sensitive and I really didnt get great sleep compared to my old reliable F&P. I have not tried the competition products like the latest Resmed or Dreamstation so can not compare to those, but am pretty sure this one is hard to beat. Very surprised there are not more 5 star reviews here on this model given it is so good. Ill try and post a follow up if reliability is lacking.

Replace, replace, replace – I had the previous version of this machine and it had to be repaired 3 times under warranty. replaced. So I am stuck with a CPAP without a humidifier unless if I shell out all of the cost for a new one myself. In addition, I use the nasal masks and the thin plastic hooks on the top of the mask rarely last more than 4 months and my insurance will only cover 2 masks a year. The one benefit to this mask is they do have a 3-month warranty on them.

bought a new icon auto which is still going very well. However, as I could buy a new machine heavily subsidised through my health insurance, I decided to buy the new SleepStyle auto. It is an amazing machine. It is basically noise free and even my wife is very impressed. Best investment I have made in a long time!

apneas per hour last night, but I woke up feeling very tired). Do your research and make sure you have the latest firmware. The patients data cannot upload to the internet unless your health provider has set it up properly: I have had very few issues with the SleepStyle app on iPhone,5, 6 and 10. Remember that Bluetooth is a problematic connection and your machine may be competing with other BT devices that your phone prefers. My warranty replacement arrived yesterday and I expect it will last for another 2 years. Changing the masks regularly is bloody expensive in Australia ($300 per mask!!). When mine went wrong, I found that these machines have a real problem being transported, so ensure you let the machine settle after movement and dont transport with water in it (in fact, remove the reservoir). Overall, a decent machine but not very robust.

Canada will pay for a new machine. I let them know I wasn't happy with their response, Fisher paykell are using the Canadian system they know that health Canada will cover most of the cost after 5 years. Shame shame I will never buy their product ever again.

issue as it is a very quiet efficient machine, and very morning I just push it back away next to the wall.
Bluetooth: My one disappointment is the app and bloothtooth quality of this machine. Recently I have been unable to sync my phone or iPad with my Sleep Style. This happened a lot in the early days and I followed all instructions given on both the internet and in the manual, turning off, disconnecting and reconnecting again. When you do the last option you lose all data. I wasn’t concerned as I thought I had fixed the problem and I focused on the future, not the past. However this problem occurred intermittently over the next following few months... and I would have to reboot the machine again and again, and attempt to sync the app to my machine so I could get my sleep data.
Today I have had no data reading for over 4 weeks. This is not good enough, when I have requested support I am told to resync the machine, however I would lose all my data. I can see the Bluetooth light is on on my machine, and my phone is connected to the machine, however nothing happens!! Data is crucial in helping understand how my sleep and apnea is progressing and this machine does not fulfil the task it was meant to do in collecting my sleep data.
As other people on this site have suggested, the USB drive is useless and the sites you are directed to in order to obtain your data from this USB, is non existent. If this USB data is only available for doctors or the sleep technician’s eyes, then don’t advertise the fact to customers....this is misleading advertising.
I understand that the New Zealand owners of F & P have sold out to Chinese owners and have abandoned Australia. This shows in the care factor of looking after their customers post purchase. I’ve had similar problems with my F & P oven and dryer, and the bad after sales support when something goes wrong. I bought this Sleep Style machine in good faith thinking the service would be different, but I was wrong. With F & P, if something goes wrong you are on your own and they don’t want to own up to their failings in providing the service they have promised.
I will never touch a F & P sleep apnea machine ever again. It’s back to Resmed for me!!!

SleepStyle app stopped pairing at the same time. After returning it to the store where it was purchased the machine is now working as a CPAP with no further noise and mask leak issues. The retailer gave me the phone number to Fisher Paykel for customer support on the app/bluetooth issue (California). Very very disappointing. No ownership. The fault is definitely in the phones (tried 5, iPhones (2) and 3 androids, same result) according to Fisher Paykel's service. There is a website that you can log into and insert a stick that is located on the back of the machine to get your data but that website is "invalid" on three different laptops. A feature I paid a lot for is simply defective and there is no further way to address it with the retailer or Fisher Paykel. It is a "too bad, so sad" situation. Based on this experience I would recommend purchasing the well established brands that do not have this feature and cost far less as in short order the feature will be defective anyway. Fisher Paykel has NOT backed up their product.
I have purchased two Fisher Paykel fridges in the past, very nice and somewhat high end, and they have been great with one small issue being very well addressed by their customer service years ago (New Zealand). I have just almost bought my third as I have just purchased a new abode but will look elsewhere as the name, Fisher Paykel, that I have been so loyal to and recommended to many friends is now tarnished by this CPAP experience.
While the machine is again working only as a CPAP machine without any data (I have no clue how I am doing with my health problem, NONE) my experience with Fisher Paykel's support team in California and the now obsolete data situation I can not give one star. Update: I had to give one star to post.

Better than Resmed – I have been using my F&P Sleepstyle since the end of February 2018 and it has performed well up until the past month or so. The humidifier no longer works and I am waking up congested and dried out. Also, the sleep data is not transferring to my phone app so I've missed long periods of time, at least a couple of months worth of data. I still gave it a 4/5 because it works and is easy to use.

For a period it would start but then stop a few seconds later and would continue that sequence and not work properly, though that seems to have fixed itself. The WiFi capacity is also dodgy and doesn't always connect properly and it has taken a number of shut downs and restarts over the past two days to get mine on line again.

- The AUTO feature works perfectly and fast.
Against:
- Lack of reporting features on machine (Reports raw AHI not Central / obstructive etc).
- Not yet compatible with Sleepyhead software.
- No DC power input. Transformer is built-in to the machine and sits under the heater plate. This means it does not suite travel or camping etc.
- Does not have RAMP feature.
- Heated hose and humidity are combined into one setting (some see it as a positive, others a negative).
Summary: Whilst brands that have previously taken the lead such as Resmed have a ton of reporting features, the latest series in that brand suffers a ton of problems from weak motor that burns out, to seals that come loose with a single cough - and they suffer a lot of noise esp. Whistles (noises with a pitch). The F&P Sleepstyle has none of these faults and trust me I tried three units just so I could break them. It is robust and silent and suffers from nought. Parts are about the same price between all the brands. The footprint of the device is small - about the same as the Resmed and much smaller than Phillips. Pricewise - the unit is on par with the other top brands.
If you are looking for a robust and durable perfectly quite machine - look no further than the F& P Sleepstyle. It ill nbot let you down. Of the top three brands in CPAP / Auto CPAP - I highly recommend this unit.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a CPAP machine. They come in fixed and automatic models.
