I am absolutely disgusted by Fitbit’s abysmal customer support. My Fitbit broke, and what should have been a straightforward warranty claim has turned into a six-month nightmare of deception, forced currency conversions, and withheld funds. After sending back my faulty device well within the return policy, I was left in the dark for weeks just… Read more
waiting for them to confirm they had even received it. They explicitly assured me I would receive a full refund of the €149.99 I originally paid, with absolutely no fees for return delivery or processing. Instead of my €149.99, Fitbit arbitrarily processed a payment of $107 USD. After forced bank conversions that I never consented to, I only received €90. They effectively shortchanged me by €59.99. When I challenged this, Fitbit admitted it was their mistake. They promised to send the remaining balance but claimed they could "only pay in AUD," guaranteeing me I wouldn't lose out on conversion fees. Six months later, I am still fighting for my money. Every single week I email them, and every single week I get the same copy-pasted response: "It is in the process of being paid." Fitbit is violating basic consumer law. I returned a faulty product, they confirmed receipt, and they are now withholding my money. They have essentially stolen €59.99 from me.
Do not buy any products from this company. Their devices break, and their customer support will run you in circles for half a year rather than giving you your money back. Absolutely disgraceful.
Fitbit was working fine until I let the battery go flat. That was it, complete product failure, no support from fitbit. Just an expectation that I will purchase a new device because their product failed.
Since google took over its disastrous. The Algorithm is a pest and equally useless to attempt to fix issues. Doesn't read sleep correctly. The old fitbit was much better. Nasty

The Fitbit Inspire 3 is good. The Google app that must be used was not thoroughly tested before launch. I just paid $100 for a watch which does not accurately track my health. I wish I had researched my options first.
I want to warn readers about Fitbit products, although a good product, and was still working - logging in (google/fitbit) has now become impossible - a major roadblock, rendering the device inoperable. Such a Pity will now be buying a different brand and be warning family and friends not to get Fitbit products..
Every single one has failed. The Google Indians are not honoring warranties I'm done – Every single one has failed across a decade, most within two years, customer support respond every 2 weeks purposely to waist your time and refuse you your warranty rights under law. After paying $300 for a watch that breaks all the time they want you on a subscription for 'SpEcIaL FeAtUrEz' I'm going to Xiaomi, they honesty can't be any worse.
Disappointed – Fitbit versa 3 watch purchased Dec 23 after replacing my previous one. First one excellent but the next wouldn’t sync to internet. Gave up after having it replaced and the second one not working either. Very difficult to get help. Have aria 2 scales that I loved but they’ve failed to connect to Fitbit app now after being very good for a couple of years. Wouldn’t purchase Fitbit products again.
Ok till you charge it – All features work well but charging watch is a Hassel to get connection to charge.. takes alot of positioning to get positive connection to charge up watch. It's a long process to obtain battery life .

I have been with fitbit for many years and it used to work great. I purchased a google pixel watch, a couple of years ago. Since then it works sometimes not for very long. My watch is sinced with my phone. But fitbit won't sinc my watch. I'm… Read more
sick of paying the fitbit fee's. But apparently I have no choice, because of the agreement with Google. I'm done you are hopeless fibit.
Follow-up · Hate it. It cost lots of money. Would only work for a couple of months at a time.
Did not get the 6 months free premium membership with purchase as Google store cancelled it a few days afteer activing. Very disappointed as I reached out for support and have heard nothing further. Lots of broken promises
Follow-up · Support sounded helpful, but the case has just been parked with no further action, its been a few months so I'm not hopeful. I was advised the cancellation occurred because I had failed to interact with the app within 48 hrs, which was not the case as I connected the Fit bit to the app right away. I think it was because I use an Android phone (??)… Read more

Now that I can no longer compare and monitor calories - energy intake and burned bc the old app no longer exists and the Google 'health' app is nonsense, the watch is of no use to me. I am over 65 years old. I do not 'hit the gym' or run so the app renders the device useless for ne & most baby boomers. I will not be buying another one.
Would like to give less than 1 star this product is rubbish. Stops giving time when less than 20 percent battery so useless as a watch and just gives up the ghost on recharge
I would just like to share the experience I had with fitbit customer service with my firbit Versa3. I experienced a frozen screen which ment i couldn't do anything with my watch except see the time so i got in touch with fitbit to try and problem solve . After spending about over an hour they decided to replace it even though it was out of… Read more
warranty . I didn't expect a replacement so I'd like to thanks the people involved and to say I really appreciated ot .
To use Fitbit you are now are required to migrate to google and are required to use a Gmail account. Apparently once it’s migrated it can’t be changed. This was done without advising me first or with my prior consent. Apart from the invasion of my privacy (google accessing my data) it’s been connected to an account I havent used for 10 years without my consent.
Failed in less than 6 months Bought it from Google store Tried to get a replacement or fix and was asked to verify my account over 30 times It was a gift from a friend and have been really frustrating.
Prior to Google taking over fitbit I was a longtime customer but never again. Dealing with Goggle to resolve a product issue has led me to wanting nothing to do with this brand or anything google related. Poor customer service, 6 months to get a refund after spending hours/days chasing them. Felt like they made the process intentionally obstructive and slow in the hope that you give up.
Used to be so happy with Fitbit . Met my requirements. Since being eaten up by Google, the app and the watch are both not working consistently. I cannot rely on anything. Even the time and date keep moving despite resets and uninstalling app etc. if theres another option, stay away from Fitbit atm.
I have bought several fitbit devices over the past 5+ years and have encountered problems with each and every one of these. This organization has possibly the worst products and the worst customer service. Issues with device include - a) Number #1 issue - Bands are very very fragile and break regularly every 6 months without fail - this is the… Read more
top issue on the fitbit forums. b) Will not charge properly several times a week c) Will hang without any reason several times and need to be restarted d) Quite poor at picking up stats such as heart rate - often reporting too low values even during high cardio activity e) Shockingly poor customer service with uninformed and uninterested agents, who are simply interested in fobbing you off and ignoring you instead of helping. This problem has gotten even worse after google bought them over (no surprise here!!) f) Even after buying 3 devices from them they treat you like a stranger and offer no help - e.g. device RMA'd per their instructions and no updates from them apart from 'we have issues and will get back to you'. g) I have given reviews for specific fitbit devices but also wanted to review the company as I think they are hiding behind the previous negative reviews provided for their devices. To be honest, and state my views loud and clear - "Do not buy Fitbit" try other brands - the extra money you spend will save you lots of problems and heartache.
I've had a fitbit since 2014 and my Fitbit Charge 5 will be the last one for me. It NEVER EVER gets my steps, it just stops working. No steps counted, no exercise recorded. Its pure crap.
I have had 2 fitbits and bought my mother one too. All 3 fitbits only lasted 14 months or so before they just stopped working. So disappointing and not covered by warranty. They were never worn in showers and looked after. I WARN EVERYONE NOT TO BUY FITBIT. So disappointing
I've had the Fitbit Inspire 2 for around 3 years. I was happy with it for about the first 4-5 months, but declining function has led to much frustration ever since; this dissatisfaction gradient steepened rapidly once Google bought Fitbit, more so with every "update", or downgrade as it should be known. I realise this is intentional, as Google's… Read more
business model is to purchase and destroy competition, replacing it with its own half baked apps. This is why everyone hates Google. It would be different if its own versions were actually better, or even any good, but a pile of mucky old sandshoes in mud would be more use. At least those might provide much needed habitat for some crayfish.
Had the fitbit versa 2 and decided to upgrade to the versa 4 as my versa 2 was on its way out. It has to be one of the worst decisions I've ever made. Got my watch home and upon setting it up I realised I couldn't even listen to music, which is a major thing for me. I assumed that since the versa 2 let me listen to music the versa 4 would. band it comes with is terribly uncomfortable and the charger is terrible too. I wanted to take it back but the store would refund me as I had already trashed the box. Worst money ever spent. I am never buying a fitbit product again. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Terrible brand, & you’d be silly to buy from the FitBit brand, don’t waste your money…. It’s obvious from so many reviews - they are poorly made, …you won’t get long before it totally breaks. Second time giving Fitbit a chance, another £300 & another completely useless watch after not even 2 years. NEVER AGAIN! I don’t know anyone who has a longterm success rate with a Fitbit and everyone I know has now switched brand over time.
I purchased the Fitbit fence November the 4th 2024 and it has stopped working. I contacted the store I purchased it from and it was past the return date but it had a one-year manufacturer's warranty. I contacted Fitbit was on the phone for over 4 hours and sent them a copy of the receipt and was told that it's not covered because they don't… Read more
recognize Walmart as a certified Fitbit seller. I contacted Walmart and they said they are a certified Fitbit seller. Don't buy the Fitbit sense it is a piece of crap. The charger is defective and the watch does not hold a battery life for long
Do not buy a Fitbit if you have a workspace Google account. It will not sync and your Fitbit won’t work. I was using it until today and I cannot get it to restart. From what I read, Fitbit is going out of business.
I have had 5 Charge 5 trackers over the last 3 years (2 purchased and 3 warranty replacements). They are a convenient fitness tracker to use. The battery life is good. I only became aware of my heart going out of rhythm by the tracker. However they are not reliable enough. After approx. 6 months I have had a problems with the battery not charging… Read more
and the watch becoming totally unresponsive. 5 times now I have been involved with the help line and although they are courteous and do their best each time the tracker was unusable. I have wasted too much time trying to get them to work and have given up. From the review pages it appears many other people have similar problems. It's a shame but I cannot recommend them.
My watch stopped working in January, just stopped charging. I have contacted Fitbit help desk multiple times, they tell me to verify my account to proceed, I do this and then receive radio silence, no response at all. This has been going on repeat for two months now, so so disappointing, I have the Fitbit sense, it was not cheap and to work for less than a year is not satisfactory.
Worst tech and hardware – Truly awful experience. 2 watches v4 and c5. Facebook messenger help centre take you in loop. Their warranty checker also is confusing. They dont care about their customers and just give excuses
Fibit lack of interest in customers – I have a fitbit watch. I originally purchased a fibit Iconic whch fitbit replaced (took them 12 months) with a Versa 3. The Versa 3 has now failed. The glue that holds the screen face to watch has let go. I have been on the fibit forums and this appears to be a common problem (you could say a design Fault). Fitbit Australia dont appear to beach… Read more
much help. Fitbit help forums have documented problems like mine but all but dont seem to have any answers. As fitbit is now owned by Google who I actually think do the right thing.
Google whitewashing the competition – I used to enjoy opening the fitbit app and looking through my weekly data. Since Google took it over in 2021 the app interface gets worse with each "upgrade". While it's still managing to collect fitness data (I don't use any of the smart watch features) it's clunky now to visualise it. And it is uninspiring to go through. There is little to no… Read more
personilation of how data is presented. It was a product that was always improving, but now it's just going backward. It's likely that this will be a 2 or less star rating in a year, and I'm already looking into other options. If Google were smart that bring back the old itbit technology and design team and pay them to get it back on track. But they've no incentive to improve an effective competitive product to the Google watch.
Saddened by the poor durability of the Fitbit watches – I have been a loyal member of the Fitbit family for many years. I have paid for the subscriptions because they were worth it and they still are, however, with a heavy heart I am ending my subscription. I’ve realized the Fitbit watches are trash. They don’t last long at all, and I am tired of spending my money for a watch that is now made with short cuts in mind and not durability. ☹️
Replacement falsehood tactics – My charger 5 was faulty after an update Fitbit acknowledged and agreed to replace once I returned the faulty device. For nearly 5 mths they delayed/fed false info for the return address. I would not ever buy a Fitbit again.
Don’t buy fitbits – They break in less than 8 months they say they going to give youa refund once you send it back instead they don’t so you are out of pocket hundreds of dollars worst customer service ever
Terribly Disappointed! – Had Fitbit Versa 2 for about 4-5 years now. I have always loved it, thought highly of it, and recommended it to others as well as convinced 2 of my friends to purchase one. However, recent updates to the app are absolutely awful. None of the information syncs correctly any more without having to uninstall and reinstall the app every day. It won't… Read more
keep me logged in. The time and date keeps being incorrect. Steps are no longer recorded correctly or at all even after a huge day of walking. The sleep monitor doesn't record deep sleep or REM. I contact support just to get told to do all the troubleshooting i have already tried but it still won't work, its like the company is in denial about its new issues. Basically the watch is just a useless thing on my wrist nowadays. I will be ordering a different brand of watch after doing some research and this one will be thrown out. Very disappointed considering I have always loved this brand.
Absolutely wasted my MONEY 3 times – I have now owned 3 fitbits and all 3 have lasted no longer than 8 months. They are the worst fitness trackers. If it isn't the software updates causing issues, it is the watch itself. Will never buy another. My latest charge 5 stopped working a week ago, not even 6 months old. Don't waste your money.
